Thank you, the stone walkway was one of the last additions Thanks, glad you like it! Thanks Titus! Thanks HQ, I have to admit, it was pretty fun building in the Elvish style (though obviously not as fun as Kali builds. ) Thanks Slegengr! Glad you like the roof, as that was one of the trickier parts to build Thanks Kai! Those tan microfigs are so handy to have, I'm sure I'll be using them lots more in the future!

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
LittleJohn replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
A new free-build, set in Avalonia: -
My second entry into the Colossal Castle Contest XIV, for the Medieval Archery Tournament category. It was quite fun building all the angles and curves in this build, as well as trying to capture the elegance of Elvish architecture. The elves are renowned for their skill with the bow, and often hold archery tournaments to maintain their mastery. More pictures on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, all C&C welcome

I love the cleanness of this build, with all those arches used in the interior, and minimal amount of texturing The way you stuck the 2x2 pillars into the wall so they only stick out one stud looks great, and the shields provide some nice decoration. Superb details inside as well, one of my favorites being the use of wedge bricks for the fireplace

AoM: Frostgate, Gatehouse phase II; Pt. 1.3
LittleJohn replied to Legofin2012's topic in Guilds of Historica
Fabulous phase 2 build The foundation of stone underneath the wooden walls looks great, and the boulders on either side of the gate are nice. Excellent story too -
Excellent scene, Isaac The overall layout with the angled buildings is superb, and the waterfalls are great too. The bridge and fence designs are simple yet very nice as well

EB Xmas Raffle 2016 - Your ideal Snow entry thread
LittleJohn replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Town
Sledding is one of my favorite things to do in the snow: Thanks for hosting this again, CopMike! -
Built for the large miscellaneous category of the 14th Colossal Castle Contest. The scene was inspired by this image. It took about 2 weeks to build, and weighs 24.8 pounds, making it my largest solo build ever. Setting up the buildings layout and connecting them via bridges was the most challenging part, though the rockwork was most time consuming to build. Qasr Albahr is a large trade citadel in the Spice Islands of Kaliphlin. It serves as a hub of the trade between the islands and mainland Kaliphlin. Its climbing bridges and ornate walls are well known throughout Historica. Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, all C&C appreciated

Thanks, the windscreen is pretty much what started the vehicle, so I'm glad you like it! Thank you! The mudguards were a little tricky, but I think they ended up working pretty well. There are two Technic pins that drop down when the lift goes up, which keep it from sliding back down. If you want to bring it back down, you just lift them up.

Location: G02 Tags: Military, Vehicle, Land Vehicle, Spying Isaac Redsyn, Massi Editoro, and Little John were sent with the latest MANTIS Special Ops vehicle, the Scissor Tank, to take out an Octan turret on Freegate. Isaac Redsyn was of course the driver, Massi the gunner, and Little John the tech. The full build: The tank has a functioning scissor lift, allowing it to shoot over almost any obstacle, fold down down stabilizers and doors, plus a full interior: I’m quite happy with how this build turned out, though the truck was definitely rather challenging at times. More pictures on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, C&C welcome

Fantastic Everything here is wonderful, from the house and sheds, to that absolutely stunning dragon. The snow on the roofs is excellent too, and the rock spires give some nice height variation to the landscape.
-
Excellent market scene, Puvel! The color choices for the stalls are great, I especially like the medium azure/white combo The cobblestone, fig posing, and slightly irregular base are all superb too
-
Fantastic build, Garmadon! The landscaping is excellent, I especially like the transition from rock to snow on the top of the mountain My favorite parts of the build are probably the interior details though; the spiral staircase was a great idea, and there are some very nice furniture designs

Nocturnus Minichallenge III B: A Tasty Treat
LittleJohn replied to LittleJohn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks a lot, MKJ! Glad you like it so much Thank you, Legofin! It does indeed take a lot of ball joints, though we were fortunate enough to get them off of our PaB wall, so we have quite a few. Thanks, Henjin! Writing the story was quite fun I had a feeling that the curved wall would get mixed reactions, and I can certainly see what you mean. I'll keep it in mind next time I do this type of wall Thanks Exetrius! The functional drawers were something I knew I had to include as soon as I started planning the build. Glad you like the figs too, they were actually one of the more challenging parts of the build Thank you, Kai! Glad you noticed the curved stone section in the floor, that was one of my personal favorite parts Thank you! Thanks Maestro! I forgot to mention it earlier, but the ball joint walls are actually inspired by Manzanares, a real-life castle in Spain: -
Excellent landscape! The frozen pond definitely turned out wonderfully, and the rocks are superb as well The snowscaping turned out nicely. Looking forward to the next part of your story
