  1. Always great to see you use the hammer technique again, UM Really liking the colors here too
  2. Great little vignette, Maestro. The tree is superb, and you did an excellent job with the hill as well. Until Henjin brought up the colors, I never even though of it, but I have to say I agree with him. A couple flowers, or something like that, would look really nice here
  3. Excellent build, definitely one of your best! The creature looks quite menacing, with the use of cheese slopes, curved slopes, and those big spikes on his tail. The patches of vegetation are fantastic as well, and I like the border design. A few small RB tiles or plates to break up the flatness of the ground would look nice, but that's my only suggestion here

  5. Another new free-build from me: Anyone working on any new free-builds, or builds for Challenge V?
  6. My 8th entry into the CCC XIV, for the Traveling Salesman category. I’ve wanted to try an Asian themed build for quite some time now, and this category seemed a great opportunity to finally actually do it. I’m very pleased with how this build turned out, though there were definitely some challenging parts. It was inspired by several of Disco’s excellent Asian builds. A friendly fish vendor peddles his wares on a busy street. See more pictures on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, C&C welcome
  7. I was hoping someone would notice the pants! Glad you like it! Thanks!
  8. Thank you, Lazer
  9. Excellent photography, and the trans clear water looks fabulous here
  10. Very excited to have won! A huge congratulations to mouseketeer and Eliza, as well as all the other contestants, there were some really fabulous entries this year. Thanks so much for running this again, @Hinckley, it's one of my favorite contests
  11. Great work, I really like all the cheese slopes, both for the roof and ends of the building The interior is what really steals the show though, you packed so much in there! The armor holder, bed and fireplace are a couple of my favorite parts. Nice smoke too!
  12. Very nice build, the piece usage for the wavy mushrooms is great, and I like the fig posing. Besides making the ridge less straight, as others have mentioned, I think adding some 1x1 pebbles to the road would be nice, to break up all the 2x2s you have now. If you have the pieces, adding a little more variety to the foliage would look good too
  13. Excellent work, dathil! The stone texturing, rockwork and snow are very well done, and the sand green/RB sections add some nice color to the build Very creative use of mixel joints too
  14. Thanks a lot, BC! Thanks don, the camel was fun to do Thanks
  15. Thanks Roanoke! Thank you!
  16. Thanks, glad you like it Thank you! Yes, the hands in the chains is quite effective. The one down side is that the hands don't slide quite all the way back in with the chains on, so they can fall out if shaken.
  17. Thanks Alfadas! Thanks Kai, I thought the curve of the path turned out nicely too Thank you, Faladrin! Thank you very much, HQ! Haha, maybe Thanks! Thanks Gunman! Thanks, the SNOT landscaping was fun to do Glad you liked the little story as well! Thanks Titus!
  18. Astounding work here, Isaac There are so many little great details, both inside and out. To start with, the overall layout is just perfect, with all the different levels of stonework, tudor sections, and roofs. The cobblestone design really works well here, and I think the olive green was a good choice of color for the grass The interior is brilliant as well, with all the various goods packed into the first story, and the fantastic furniture designs on the upper levels. That red and tan bed especially stood out to me
  19. New build from me, for Category A of Challenge V:
  20. My entry for Category A:
  21. Built for category A of Challenge V, for the Alliance side. The path design was inspired by Thorsten Bonsch’s Orsinium. It was fun experimenting with the path here, albeit time consuming. A messenger gallops through the lands of Kaliphlin, spreading the word of the return of the true king of Historica! Perhaps 'gallops' is a poor choice of words though, as the camel seems content with a slow walk, much to the messenger's distress. More pictures on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, C&C welcome
  22. My 11th entry into the CCC XIV, for the ‘Pit of Dispair’ category. Inspired by Marcel's excellent dungeon scene for last years CCC. The floor design was inspired by LL. The one eyed Wolfpack gang had several members captured recently by the Blue Dragons, so Rolf led a breakout. The dungeon sentries were caught off guard and quickly overpowered. Rolf admired some new loot for a moment, and then set his compatriots free. More picture on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, C&C welcome
  23. My fifth entry to the CCC XIV, for the ‘Pit of Despair’ category. The landscape was largely influenced by Dubbadgrim’s builds. The majority of this build was built in two days, as I wanted to take it to a LUG event. The castle features a working drawbridge, and a full interior in the tower. The doors of the prison carriage can open as well. After some forestmen were captured by crusader knights, their compatriots hatched a clever plan to free them from the dungeon: disguise themselves as crusader knights, bring more ‘captured forestmen’ to the castle, and then break the others free! But will they be successful, and slip through the castle guard un-hindered? Or will their clever plan backfire? Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, C&C welcome!
  24. Thanks, glad you like it
  25. 1 15 16 18 18 Fantastic entries this year! As Darkdragon said, there were some really great scene choices.
