No-Man's Keep, infiltration and breakout [FreeBuild]
LittleJohn replied to Isundir's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent base design, the inset NK shields look great, and I like the 1x1 round bricks at the corners. A few 1x1 square plates mixed into the floor outside the cell might look nice, but the cell itself is superb, with all the vines -
Challenge V: Spire entry: Spire...beginssss....
LittleJohn replied to Muakhah's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nice little vignette, I like the patch of olive green. The path is simple but effective, though I agree the rock could use a little refinement. -
Chapter V, Book II: Searching for Hope
LittleJohn replied to MassEditor's topic in Guilds of Historica
Astonishing work, ME! The colors, the layout, the winding stream, all the little details, everything is so well made. The grass/path spilling out of the border is fantastic as well, definitely one of the best looking bases I've ever seen. I think one of my favorite parts is the bridge; it looks ornate, and yet quite rugged. -
Book 2 - Challenge V Category A: On the lamb (Alliance)
LittleJohn replied to Grover's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent build, Grover! The cliff is definitely recognizable, and with a little more refinement I think would look wonderful (though it looks quite nice as-is!). The tiny waterfall/stream is one of my favorite details, and I'm glad you made it come to the edge of the base. I personally rather like the brick-built bushes as well. And of course, the story is great- 15 replies

Stunning photography, and an excellent scene to accompany it. The little bits of sand green/dark green moss look nice, and the tree is superb as well. -

Thanks, glad you like it! Thanks Isaac! I agree, we definitely need more Asian medieval builds. Thanks Slegengr! The decoration around the roofs was one of my favorite parts here

You packed lots of details in for such a small footprint! The boat being lowered in the water is a fantastic detail that is often overlooked, and the wake it's leaving is superb as well. The olive green plants on the shore work well here, though I'm not sure about the few lavender grass stalks. Overall a great build
-
Wonderful build, your SNOT bases always look fantastic! The bits of trans clear mixed in the path is an excellent touch, and the olive green trees fit very well here. Superb fig combos and rockwork too

Cool vignette, the bushes work nicely here. I agree with Henjin that a little more color would be good though- 12 replies

Excellent build Henjin, definitely one of your best so far The trees are all excellent and I like the texturing around the crash site (though I can't say that I'm a big fan of the story itself ). I do think that there is perhaps one too many shades of green here though; if you got rid of the lime green, or at least made it in more occasional patches rather than scattered throughout the build, I think it would improve the overall aesthetics

The retaking of Eolas: A hollow victory
LittleJohn replied to The Maestro's topic in Guilds of Historica
Very nice build, Maestro. The rockwork is good, though I would recommend having it 'step' in a direction, instead of being fairly flat across the whole front. The RB and dark tan work well for the landscape here too -

Excellent work! Both buildings being set at an angle gives a great layout, though adding tiles under the edges so that they don't 'float' above the ground would be nice. The cooking area looks good, as does the cart. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the rest of your collection!

Very nice build, Isundir The tent set-up is great, and the tattered pillow/blanket is an excellent detail. The lavender foliage works nicely here too
-
Very nice! The cobblestone looks great here, and I like the low wall. The tree is nice, though as Henjin suggested a few more leaves would be good. I think some small green plates to give a bit of height variation to the rest of the ground would be a nice addition as well

Thanks Titus! Glad you like the mosaic, it was a little tricky getting something that I thought fit the scene Thank you! The katana holder was one of my favorite details too Now that you mention it, the mosaic does look rather like the Under Armour logo Thanks HQ! Thank you! Thanks Kai, glad you like it Thanks Roanoke Thank you, UM!
