My latest build, for the Nocturnus Pie challenge:

"Inspector Clurog here! Gotta check over your pumpkin pies. Productions standards, ya' know. Everything has to be ship-shape." "Welcome! I'm Kilos, one of the workers here, and we've been expecting you! You're just the ingre-oomph!" "Inspector, he was saying; I'm Tozna, head chef of the kitchen. Follow me and I'll show you exactly what we put into our famous pies. Highest quality ingredients, let me assure you! Watch your mouth Kilos, or I'll bat your ears in," Tozna growled below his breath as the inspector moved towards the first shelf. "And what do you keep in these bottles, eh, daises?" sneered Clurog. "I should say not! Only the finest quality slime is used in our pies! And we make sure the bottles are spotless before filling them with fresh slime. That jar there contains seeds from our own Venus fly-trap, adds some kick to the pies!" "So you say, so you say..." Clurog muttered, as he scribbled some notes on his paper. "What are you doing now, trying to pull the walls in?" queried Clurog as Tozna grabbed a knob embedded in the wall. "Hahaw! Nothing like an inspector with a sense of humor!" guffawed Tozna, "These are storage drawers. See, swamp flowers from Moruth. Kilos! Keep an eye on that pie! I'll have no burned crusts around here." "Well how many drawers do you need? Isn't a roomful a bit much?" protested the inspector as they moved to the corner of the kitchen. "Those are just for show, no real drawers there. Though we have some potent mushrooms, and carrots here. No Avalonian imports, we maintain a strict Nocturnus grown policy. These also are thoroughly washed before use." "That seems decidedly un-Nocturnian! A few bugs here and there never hurt anyone, I find them quite tasty myself. You chef's always claim to have the best of the best, but it's the inspector's job to see what's really going on." "Of course, of course. Well here's a fresh pie now, why don't you check it over for yourself?" "Yes indeed, I have to say with your obsession for cleanliness, I doubt it will even be edible. And It had better be good, or I'll report this kitchen to the PPA." As Clurog moved to sample the pie, the whole kitchen crew (except for Kilos that is, who was busy watching another pie) gathered around expectantly. "Well, it does smell alright," Clurog admitted reluctantly, leaning in to sniff the odorous pie. And then with a swift gulp, the pie dragged Clurog in! "AAAAHHH." "Well boys, good job, this pie passes the test! You can send it out to the Pumkpin Pie Associatin for distribution now, Erus." "Yes sir, Tozna! One more pie for those ridiculous tree-huggers coming right up!" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built for the Kitchen category of the Pie minichallenge. This build started with the Mixel ball-joint wall design, which I’ve had lying around for a while now. I quite like how it turned out, and will probably be using it more in the future. The working drawers were very fun to make as well. Lots more pictures on brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, C&C appreciated

Excellent build. The wall texturing is very nice, I especially like the touches of dark tan Great work with the smoke too, and the target design is quite clever

Very nice build, BC, the sand is great, though I especially like the technique works for the road

Wonderful way to finish off the tower phases, Legofin! The mix of stone and wood in the walls looks great, and the wall texturing is superb. My favorite section has to that rounded roof though, it fits perfectly here

Fabulous build, Maestro! As usual, your wall texturing is superb, and the angled layout of the buildings looks great The colorful banners and flowers add a nice touch of color to the scene too

Excellent build! The texturing of the ruins is great, and I like the tree growing out of the stone Very nice collapsing bridge and rockwork too

Very unique approach to the phase with the mix of wood/stone; it works quite well! The base has to be my favorite part of the build though, the stone and snow layers are fantastic, and the transition to studs up is excellent as well

Perfectly executed vignette, LordDan! The walls made of sticks, the use of those capes for the door, the roof, the rickety wooden stairs; all of it just wonderful! Excellent color choice for the swamp too, and the dark green vines are great

That giant is just mind blowing The pants, torso shaping, and use of hair pieces are just phenomenal Great way to extend his arms as well. To top it all off, the landscaping is superb too. Wonderful build.

Wonderful little build, Legofin! The wall texturing of the shrine is very nice, and I love the double set of stairs; I'll have to keep that in mind for future builds I do The roof fits quite well here too

Love the use of click hinges to get the shape you wanted here The vines, ground texturing, and presentation are great too

Fantastic build, Graham! The bits of rock in the landscape, little swamp, bits of crumbling wall along the path, and trees are all top-notch Excellent fig-posing as well, wouldn't wanna be those Nocturnus soldiers right about now

Another superb build from you, Captain Flint The dark bley/dark red/dark orange colors work very well together here, and the monster is of course fabulous

Fabulous work here! The dark green around the cleared area of dark tan looks great, and I like the jagged rockwork as well The mushrooms and bushes add just enough foliage to the scene

Excellent continuation of your archery range! The melting snow effect is wonderful, and I'm impressed by how well you got those large crossbeams to fit in the lookout tower The upside-down plates work nicely for the roof here too

Excellent build! The round tower turned out very well, and I like the touches of sand green in the stonework. Great job with the ruined walls and landscape too

Great interior scene, dathil! The map on the table is excellent, I especially like the cheese slopes for the mountainous areas The checkered floor was a nice touch too

Very nice build, the tentacles and cheese slopes mosaics are definitely some of the highlights for me The composition of the build is great too, with the stairs leading up out of the courtyard, surrounded by the buildings.

Very unique idea for the challenge, and you executed it fabulously The armor is superb, I especially like those round towers on his arms

Wonderful entry, Henjin! The build is packed full of detail, but some of my favorites are the staircase, wooden rafters with nets hanging from them, the use of dark orange hair in the black pot, and the shelf of various ingredients above the oven. The tunnel opening with steps leading down into the darkness below is a nice touch as well.

Great entry Hexx, the shaping of that statue is really impressive! The vines and foliage are excellent as well, and I like the alternating black slopes at the top I do think the ground could use a little more texturing though; just some small plates/tiles would help with that

You're really improving rapidly, en_zoo, each build you post I like more than your last! I can't wait to see what you'll be building a year from now The irregular base here is superb, as are the color choices for the path and ground. The variety of vegetation you have looks great, and is very fitting for a forest scene; my only suggestion for the trees would be to add just a few more branches that are lower on the trunk, instead of having most all of the leaves at the top. Great job fitting in those angled sections as well, they blend very smoothly with the rest of the landscape +1 for the UoP credit!
