Book II, Challenge V: Cat A -A Welcome Message (Pt.2)
LittleJohn replied to Legofin2012's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent wall texturing here, the 2x2 and 1x1 round tiles look great The bits of rockwork around the lower sections of the wall are very nice, and the stream ties in well with your previous build- 14 replies

Book II, Challenge V, Category A: Courier to Kaliphlin
LittleJohn replied to Gideon's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great idea and excellent execution, Gideon The trans clear layer over the olive green is very nice for the swamp look, and the Venus fly trap is superb. -
Book II, Chal V, Cat A: The Sultan's Rider

Excellent build MKJ, I especially like the red tentacle plants The tar pits are well executed too, with the occasional 2x2 round dish to break up the flatness. -
Book II Challenge V Category A: The swiftest path
LittleJohn replied to Rconn0's topic in Guilds of Historica
The sail on the boat is very nice, is it custom? The barrels on the dock are a great detail, and the dark tan in the walls gives some nice color. -

Excellent addition to your hamlet The dark brown and dark bley color combo is fantastic, and the balance of wood and stone is superb as well. One of my favorite parts would have to be the roof, simple though it may be, it really works well here. Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with for your hamlet!

Welcome to the guilds, and more importantly, Kaliphlin! Excellent first build, the hole in the ground is executed very nicely As Henjin said, the use of parts on the beast is superb, and overall it comes together quite well, though from the profile view it does end up looking a bit spindly. The decoration on the base is great too

Wonderful windmill, the rounded wattle and daub section is superb Fantastic landscaping as well, the light bluish grey rocks really pop here, along with the dark red and dark orange tree.

Wow. That eagle is downright epic. The feathers, the posing, the beautifully shaped head... just wow. Truly a fantastic entry, Henjin, and probably my favorite build from you yet! Besides the amazing eagle, the wall is excellent as well, the incorporation of curved slopes is wonderful The decorative base adds a great finishing touch to a gorgeous build.

Nice work, Maestro. The stone texturing is excellent, as is the tudor section on top of the tree I can't say I'm a huge fan of the tree itself though; the dark red leaves really don't blend well with all the greens, and I don't like how the tree seems to completely 'disappear' into the tower for a brick or so. Some more leaves would definitely help as well. Overall though, another great build, keep it up

Excellent entry, don, I especially like the awning made out of the flags You don't see too many MOCs with sloping streets, but it works really well here, and helps give the build a little more height variation. The one thing I don't like is the roof; the 2x2x2 domes don't quite fit right, in my opinion, at least not the middle one. A lower, flatter dome I think would've looked nice here.

Really lovely balance of colors here, ME The dark red and dark brown with gold highlights works very well for the inn, and the stone foundation and chimney help break it up nicely. As usual, your landscaping is stunning as well; the olive green flowing between those dark bley rocks is phenomenal, and it's great to see some trees with a nice thick trunk

Built for the 2017 Brickstory contest. I’ve been wanting to do some more pirate themed builds for a while now, and the Brickstory contest provided a great opportunity with its ‘Age of Piracy’ category. The island can split in half to reveal a path, cannon, and other details inside, and the winch holding the boat is fully functional. This paradise of a pirate island serves as the base of operations for Captain Hookey Hand and his crew. With everything from canons and lookout towers, to sun-bathing boats and planks to walk, the island is incredibly popular with his band of compatriots. Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, C&C welcome

Thanks en! The interior was actually one of the last things to be added to this build, as I was questioning whether the space available would be sufficient for much. Glad you like how it turned out!

LittleJohn replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent build, Exetrius! The use of macaroni bricks in the rockwork is surprisingly effective here, and you did a wonderful job maximizing the limited space The occasional spots of vegetation look nice, and the dark green roof fits wonderfully. I enjoyed the little story too- 17 replies

Just wow. Absolutely genius approach to the category, and simply amazing execution! The waterfalls, brilliant arches, SNOT mountains and sky... Just beautiful. The touches of sand green on the rocks are superb as well.

So wonderful to see all of your builds in one place. The Streets of Barqa would have to be my favorite from you, but there are so many other amazing builds as well, such as Swamplands Tower, Lighthouse of Barqa, and Sultan's Gate, to name just a few. I look forward to seeing what you will create in the future

Book II Challenge V Category A: Stopping the Algus messenger
LittleJohn replied to Puvel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Excellent vignette, Puvel, I love the bits of overhanging snow on the rocks Very nice path and rockwork as well, though I think a little tree or bush on top of the cliff would be a good addition -
Lovely You captured the elegance of elven architecture very well with the brown curved slopes and dark tan tentacles The lanterns by the path are superb, and the ground layering is excellent. The water in the corner is a nice touch too.

This looks amazing already! I love the use of cheese slopes in the buildings, and the dark brown is a great color choice for the wood sections. Looking forward to how this progresses! -
