  1. Very nice scene, you did a wonderful job capturing the forest look with the dense vegetation! The wall texturing looks nice as well, though I think the gateway could be raised a little bit, so that someone on a horse could fit through. The moat and bridge look great too
  2. Absolutely phenomenal work here, Dr. Rod! The colors used really make it pop, and I love the drastic change from dense vegetation along the banks to scarce bushes and sand farther away. The castle itself is wonderful as well, with the excellent use of minecraft parts for decoration, and all the surrounding market stalls.
  3. Really excellent castle! The rounded edges of the gatehouse towers work very well in this build, as do the windows made of legs. The landscaping has an appropriate desert feel to it, I particularly like the brickbuilt cactus. Always nice to see interiors too, and yours looks lovely in that last picture with the light streaming through the window
  4. Wonderful entry, Captain! The story was quite humorous, as usual, and that micro explosion scene is fantastic! Excellent work on the minifig scale battle scene as well, the rock layering is superb
  5. Any Kaliphlinites planning on entering the Castle Collaboration category of The Summer Joust this year? For obvious reasons I can't participate, but I'm hoping a few people from our guild will. We had an excellent showing last year from @BrickCurve, @Kayne, and @Gabe, let's try to do so again!
  6. Excellent siege scene, dathil The minifig action is superb, and I like the various realistic details you have, like the guy pouring boiling liquid over the walls. Fabulous siege works and tunnel as well!
  7. Yikes, I hope Narbilu is alright. Nice interior scene, Narbilu The sloped ceiling looks fantastic here and the candle holder design is nice as well.
  8. Another wonderful series, Robert! My favorites are the Trojan, Tribal Warrior, Statue and Alchemist. Would love to see that grape piece get made by LEGO at some point
  9. Excellent build, Maestro! The landscaping colors and pumpkin patch look great, as well as the stonework Neat tree and birds too
  10. Lovely build, Maestro The base design works very well here, and I like the mixing of sand and olive green. Excellent stonework as well, having the chimney continue up gives a nice blending of tudor sections and stone.
  11. It's been a a quite a while, but another chapter of my Katoren story-line is up:
  12. Another fun build for the ABC’s of Castle, over on Classic-Castle, as well as a Kaliphlin free-build. This one is ‘Courtyard’, for ‘C’. I wanted to try experimenting with color a bit in this build, as often times the Mediterranean style builds I see do so to great effect. It was especially inspired by the works of Robuko. It's been a while since I've finally gotten around to continuing my Katoren story-line, due to other commitments, but here's another installment. Check out the previous chapters: Secretive Plans Bandit Camp at Kharab Fortress "Sir! Sir! Urgent Message from the southern outpost! A sudden attack from the desert king forces leaves us in dire need of support. I was scarcely able to slip through the siege lines of the desert king, to deliver this message from Captain Temas." "How could it be?! Responded Qalaq from under his white turban. That outpost is only known about by loyal supporters of the High Council, and is almost impossible to find!" "A important question, Qalaq, that we must find the answer to. it shall have to wait, however; now we must make haste to gather our forces and lend aid to Captain Temas, before the fortress falls and the men are captured. I'll send my messengers to gather troops and supplies, and we'll leave before sunset. Messenger, thank you for your work. Now go to my room, clean up, and then get some sleep. You have to be exhausted." "Thank you, sir, indeed I am. But be sure to wake me before you leave; I'll not be found here sleeping while my fellow friends battle for their lives." "Very well, I shall do so. But come now, we've much to do, let us not waste any more time talking here!" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some overview pictures of the build: I would like to claim UoP credits for: General Building - mosaics, stained glass, or complex SNOTted floor designs. History (3 of 3) Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome
  13. Stunning build, Henjin! I love how deep the archway is, and one again your brickbuilt animal is outstanding The fact that he is quite pose-able makes it even better. The use of large wedge slopes on the battlements looks great, as does the rest of your architecture. There are some great details in the forge area as well
  14. Excellent build, especially considering your time restraints! The lime green water looks great and the simple palisade design works wonderfully here. I always love seeing sails used as tents too!
  15. Excellent builds! The upper story of the inn is superb, with great wall texturing, furniture designs and various other details, like the candle holders in the wall Great way to represent each of the guilds with the mosaic in the second build too. Hopefully you'll be able to finish the story, I really like what you have so far!
  16. That is one beast of a boat! The spiky roof with those dishes looks absolutely perfect here, and the chains and other details add a lot to the goblin look. Excellent swamp plants too
  17. The corner stone pattern on the bottom of the tower looks really nice here Superb usage of the gargoyle head on the battering ram as well, and I like the cobblestone path.
  18. That is quite the... thing. Great job with the tables and various other details like the candle and floor too, they complement the scene well
  19. Excellent build, Puvel. The greens work beautifully for the house here, and the use of that flag for a covering for the doorway is superb The stonework, work-site details, and shield under the roof are great details too
  20. That sawhorse design is brilliant Excellent wooden detailing on the platform too, and the battering ram is quite nice, though I agree that bigger wheels might look better.
  21. Really wonderful work on this, Maestro! The head mounted on the front is superb, and as Henjin noted, you did a great job capturing the action of the scene. Fantastic landscaping to top it all off too
  22. Excellent entry, kahir! The golem is very impressive, I especially like the shaping on the arms. The scaffolding and various other in-progress details are superb too
  23. A: 1 - 7 - 10 B: 3 - 4 - 6 C: 1 - 6 - 8 D: 9 - 11 - 12
  24. Highlander for me, though I do wish his hairpiece was different, or he came with a helmet. Rocket Boy would be my second choice.
  25. One of my favorite series thus far! I went with the elf as my favorite, but the sausage man was a close second.
