  1. This looks like the train station in Bristol, TN/VA.
  2. another MOC!!?? You are very busy and very talented. Any expert techniques did you use in this? I like the interior, alot. Not everyone details the interior this explicitly, kudos!
  3. Any chance you might sell instructions to build this? I really like the concept, contemporary / art deco.
  4. I just saw that they are doing this to our old 19th century library. Similar look but not the same colors. I find it interesting considering your design is "book case" style and the building I'm referring to is a library Good modern design but the colors blend too much, or they are just too similar for the camera to pick up properly, in my opinion the camera makes the colors "bleed" so I'm sure it looks better brick built in person.
  5. A great inspiration to keep designing new modulars! Fantastic build, I can't wait to see more!
  6. This looks fantastic!! I love the detail and the different styles of the rooms. Well done!! Builders like yourself are a great deal of inspiration to us novice builders. Keep it up!
  7. Beautiful design! When a train station is built where the train has to back out, its actually called a Terminal though.
  8. Really neat idea, but you might wanna prepare for more space than that. The new modular uses 1 32x32 and 1 16x32 for the base (overall its going to be 48wide and 32 deep)
  9. I absolutely love your design! I also looks like it would be a great train station. Your design has inspired me. Been trying to make compact sized building like this but always end up with it being too large. any advice on how to do the colors of the stained glass window? i can't find a pattern in the photo and I really like how you did your colors. Truly an inspiration, well done!!
  10. See photo above guys its exactly like the Toy Story and Lone Ranger train but with more detail and includes a circle of track.... I'm a little disappointed by the design but I will probably still buy it since I'm a huge Lego train fan
  11. He speaks!! Will LEGO be announcing this officially soon? I can't wait to see what it looks like knowing now its a steam engine
  12. well in September there are 2 VIP early access sets. 1 is likely the new death star and the other is the Winter Train because it releases in October like all the Winter sets before it
  13. Anyone notice Brickset updated the listing for the Winter Train? http://brickset.com/.../{Winter-Train} In the details it mentions its a Steam Locomotive and confirms its an Expert train now, when will Lego announce it? I'm really anxious to see it now after seeing what they did with the Disney Castle
  14. Have you seen Sava's new Hudson Dreyfuss? he completely redid it and it looks amazing!
  15. So basically if Nesquik says October, we should see info about it either in August or September. I really hope its a steamer like the Emerald Night was (better scale though)
  16. I dont agree with any of that. I personally think they will release an updated PF controller that uses bluetooth so its not requiring a smartphone/tablet As far aspicking up Sbrick, I dont recall Lego ever buying out another company. Also regerding the Winter Train, it was last said to be classified as an Expert Train themed for the Winter Village but probably not branded as such. I think it will be an add-on like the previous Expert trains have been. It leaves more room to include alot more and more detail for a lower price. When was the last time we got an Expert train with a complete set of track? Never Its a good incentive to get parents to buy "add-ons". Which when you see Expert its not targeting kids. Just like that fancy Death Star or Modular Building. Think more how Lego looks at this kind of thing vs the info we have so far. Nesquik has slowly teased us with this release first being the fact that Lego designers felt bad that we didnt have another Expert train to replace the retired Horizon Express but they wanted to release something for the Winter theme. (Need to look at older posts to see exact wording) but its possible that we may get it as its own stand alone set with a Winter Village set still being released for Christmas Nesquik has also stated that its an entirely new design that hasnt been used yet (so no its not an updated Winter Train from 2009) Also Nesquik has a reputation of being right. There are only a few more sets that havent yet been announced that he gave us a heads up on and that is the Winter Train, Disney D2C and the VW Beetle update I have been following this thread for almost a year now
  17. I hope its a complete train without track or PF included. That gives alot of room to include more parts and more cars. I'd be willing to pay upwards of $200+ for such a set Kinda like they did with the past Expert trains, no track, no PF (but can add them). I also hope its a steamer with the same drivers from Emerald Night!
  18. Exactly, it would be a great way to add more functionality but at the same time still let you choose between each system. I like the idea of using my phone as the controller or tablet but I do know there is a limit on how many bluetooth devices can be controlled at once without a hub to control them. Currently the iPhone can only connect to one bluetooth device at one time, however if that device was a bluetooth hub connected to multiple devices that would be different. This is where WifiDirect comes in, it has no limit on how many you can connect to at once since it uses the Wifi antenna and the Wifi bandwidth. Another nice thing about WifiDirect is no authentication certificate license is required so there is no licensing fee to use it, unlike Bluetooth so it will be cheaper to utilize not to mention faster. The other nice thing about WifiDirect is as long as your on the Wifi in your home network you can be alot further away than Bluetooth allows. There are so many different possibilities making Power Functions digital in this "Digital Age" I can see TLG making this for the trains and adding to the "wow factor". Because the IR is very limited, I get frustrated by that especially if you have a curve and you can't see the train because of something like furniture or a wall is in the way, you can't control it until the train is sight. Bluetooth/WifiDirect can change alot of that. And another neat bonus would be for LEGO to do something really cool and have an official app that lets you use real sounds (outputting on the control device) like a steam engine chugging based on speed, or diesel humming based on speed etc so many neat things can be done with this if its done right!
  19. I'd like to see a new Metroliner to be the successor to the next passenger train and with recent news about the new Power Functions 2.0 launching soon I can see the next wave of train sets to include these plug and play Power Functions. only problem is, it is NOT backwards compatible with V1 since they are doing away with the brick connector and going to a plug. But there is good news to that, it will be bluetooth controlled so you know what that means, especially if LEGO releases an API to let people make apps.
  20. No, Nesquik said it was going to be an Expert train so that won't be a micro set
  21. You have my support! I hope you reach your goal and IDEAS gives it a chance. The mixer is supposed to be retiring later this year for next years release so this would be a good MOC to build to fill this years gap Looking forward to seeing the instructions. I am not very technic savvy like yourself and your ride functions like the real thing, even the rotating Octopus head that is offcenter. (I always wondered why it was off center, now I know lol Do you have any plans to make more rides in the future? You are very talented! Good Luck!
  22. My favorite is the corner building, I love the glass dome and tall art deco windows! would you care to share how you did the windows? or dare i ask, share the instructions!? :O VERY nicely done absolutely love it You should apply for a LEGO designer job!! The corner is good enough to be a real set!
  23. I had the same problem, I had to download the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) 64bit for my Windows 10 64bit Fixed it without a reboot
  24. I should correct myself, I was going to do it :D I make alot of stuff in LDD and then render them to see what they will look like built. :D
  25. Thank You for sharing your awesome designs. I can't wait to render them in Blue Render!
