  1. I'm back. Has been two busy months with moving to another city Napier 300 Kms away from Wellington. With the arrival of this years Speed Champions sets in store, its back to adding to my SC layout. I bought the complete 2018 SC range so have lots of building to do. In order to display my vehicles I have decided to design wider road lanes to fit my 6 wide and 8 wide vehicles. By using 48 x 48 gray base plates I can have four 10 wide lanes plus white lines plus median strip of green. As my layout is now thirteen 48 x 48 grey base plates long I will need thirteen of these road sections. LDD design below. Enjoy :)
  2. I like the realistic roads too. I just want super wide straight lanes that my 6 and 8 wide vehicles can fit on.
  3. Yay, Manatee finally made it to the other side of the world. It swam all the way to New Zealand :) Many thanks CopMike.

  5. Speed Champions go on sale in New Zealand on 1st March. But my friendly local toy shop text me today to say they were in. So off I went to get my LEGO fix. Now I just have to build them and put on the dreaded stickers. :) Will probably have to design and build a Ferrari dealership to go on my Speed Champions layout.
  6. Amazing ? I am lost for words.

  8. Thanks. Just what I asked for. You are amazing. ☺☺☺
  9. Great news on the new designs. Are you able to print a very long straight road that can fold up concertina (zig-zag) style. Would be great for storage and also less joins on the road. Any thought on selling copies of your roads?
  10. Great Idea. Can you do roads that go to the edge of card without the speckle part? Due to the size of LEGO vehicles now being 6 wide the road lanes are too skinny. Also the Modular's have their own footpath so another reason to get rid of the side part.
  11. Me too. My backlog of Modulars to build goes all the way back to the Palace Cinema. I have all of the Modulars and am waiting on Downtown Diner to arrive in New Zealand. Circumstances of me living in one city and the LEGO being stored in another city have been solved with a recent move.
  12. Voted. Really ingenious. Reminds me of the Toy shop in Wellington NZ that I used to go to before moving to Napier 2 weeks ago. It had a ride on car outside by the entry door. Good luck in the contest ???
  13. I have been building my trucks and buses 8 wide to go with my 6 wide Speed Champions sets and moc's. Here is a LDD picture of a car carrier that I have now built in blue and white.
  14. Yes I noticed too. It looks like the same wheel and tyre combination as on the Joker's purple lowrider set.
  15. Gas Station is 99% finished, just waiting on some whips to use as pump hoses and some printed tiles to go on the walls. Gas Station takes up 3 large grey base plates to keep in theme with the rest of my building MOC's. Glowing light in the pizza oven and moving car wash brushes. Enjoy :)
  16. Hi, the lighting units are old ones from Artifex Creation, they have 10 different patterns. Due to them using 3mm LED's and thick wires they would be too hard to get to the headlights. Using magnet wire and SMD LED's would work. I do also use LifeLites units in other vehicles, they use LED's or SMD LED's. I do have working SMD LED headlights and taillights on my Ghostbusters vehicle. Enjoy :)
  17. I finally got around to putting stickers on my Ambulance and Fire Rescue. Photos and videos below: Enjoy :)
  18. Update on my gas station. 90% done, waiting on parts from Bricklink. Photo's with roof removed. Updating my car wash to fit in with the gas station. Enjoy :)
  19. True. Not on my current plans to build one even though they have my surname on them ?. We are moving back to Napier in January so I will probably be having a break from building more MOC's after I finish my gas station.
  20. Nightfall, I have removed the sink and replaced it with a coffee machine. Bought the City Pizza van for some parts including stickers. Here are some photos showing the use of the stickers. Enjoy :)
  21. Thanks supertruper1988. I have now increased the depth of the building by 4 studs to allow more room in the dine in area. I have made a Bricklink order for the seating. So while waiting for the parts I have started on the service station side of the building. So far a drinks fridge, 3 shelving units and a counter have been built.
  22. Photo of recent build of pizza side. Pizza oven, sink, double door fridge/freezer and counter. Still have to do the dine in seating. Enjoy :)
  23. I don't think this is the last of SC. The expense of making new molds for the new triangle small tile and the new shortened mudguard (fender) for this theme will see it around for a while. It is my favourite theme. I used to drive Ford's, and Ferrari's and Porche's are my dream cars so am pleased to see more of them. It is also a good source of parts for many of my vehicle MOC's.
