  1. Sad to see that we can no longer get custom chromed parts :(
  2. I worked in Telephone Exchange buildings in New Zealand for nearly 20 years. That were not a pretty as this one. Well done :)
  3. The architecture fits in well with the Parisian Restaurant 10243.
  4. Screenshot from Nissan You Tube live release.
  5. I would rather have a Scania R999 Roadster like the one i designed ;) This is a 1000 hp beast :)
  6. LEGO is a company not an individual. I have been collecting LEGO since 1985 and there has been a lot of changes since then. Buildings and cars have all increased in size. The number of colours and parts has also increased. LEGO raises the bar each year so that it gets sales and stays around as a company. As a huge Speed Champions collector and MOC builder I welcome the change.
  7. Hi Paul. If you join the FB group Lego Auto Group of which i am a moderator you will find the Taxi .lxf file in the files area. Regards Allan https://www.facebook.com/groups/LegoAutoGroup/
  8. I'm looking forward to the 8 wide change. The proportions are better and they will still fit on my SC layout. My buildings are SC scale so they will look good beside them.
  9. Hi, if it doesn't get pass the process I will upload my version file to a Facebook group I help moderate. I have already uploaded a lot of my LDD files to the groups file area. It is called "Lego Auto Group (Cars, Trucks, and Motorcycle MOCs)". Join and see the amazing MOC's there. :) Allan
  10. It is a great design. So much so that I reverse engineered it into an 8 wide Mack. :) Allan
  11. It uses extra parts. If you join the Facebook group of which I am a moderator you will find the LDD file in the File Area. There also a lot more of my LDD files there too. Enjoy :)
  12. Photos from the July Taupo NZ Hobby Expo of my Speed Champions layout. Drive in movies: Inside the diner: Car Showroom: Inside showroom: Car workshop: Inside workshop: Petrol Service Station: Inside shop: Ferrari Dealership: Inside showroom: Enjoy :)
  13. In 2008 I saved some photos of a Scania R999 Roadster. After a discussion on a FB LEGO group, I found some newer photos online. So I built it yesterday in LDD then imported into Stud.io to render it. Enjoy :)
  14. I always bring the stickers to the edge of the brick so that there is no gap. I do not follow LEGO's placement as on the instructions.
  15. Thanks Nebulaire. I enjoy designing and building Speed Champion related MOC's. Here is a collection of my most recent designs. Enjoy
  16. Could the Nissan GT-R look like mine.
  17. I use the doors from the Ghostbusters Firehouse for toilet doors as they are solid with no windows.
  18. Just posted on a NZ web toy shop FB page is box pic of the Disney train saying "coming soon". Can I post pic here?
  19. Looks like an 8 year old post of mine was bumped. I am now into Speed Champion based MOC's. :) See my topic on SC things.
  20. Speed Champions Nissan 300ZX. I designed this car today for a member in a FB group who wanted a model of his car. Enjoy :)
  21. I plan to mod it into other colours. In the instructions on step 4 and 9 a different method is used to hold the axles from the green car. 2 2x2 technic round bricks are used instead of 4 1x2 technic bricks. You can see step 9 in the photo on the right. Also the instruction book is half the size so is not bent inside the box.
  22. My local toy shop had it out about a week early so I grabbed 4 boxes as they were being put on the shelf. Have modded a red version as the stickers are clear backed. Missing 2 red bricks and stickers yet to go on.
