  1. Again, great job on the production process and the interior here looks much less stark! The dialogue is up to your usual hilarious standards - I hope for the sake of the foreman in the previous build that Agnes doesn't find any musket balls. Just for your interest (and ignore me if you already know this!) But troops of the era almost exclusively carried muskets, which differ from rifles in that the barrel is smooth bored. Rifles were used for hunting, and later were introduced by some nations for light troops (eg Britain's 95th and 60th Rifle Regiments - you should read the Sharpe series by Bernard Cornwall if you are interested in the Napoleonic wars). Rifle barrels had grooves spiralling down the inside which made the shot much more accurate, but took longer to load. Most armies didn't introduce rifles as standard until the mid 19th century. Anyway, just me being pedantic! As with the other one, I'll pay your incentive tonight, let me know when you license it.
  2. Nice job Mesabi, I like the attention to detail you paid with the production process. I'm not sure barrels were made like that, but it works for here! Drunknok pretty much covered the points I can think of for improvement - some dividers in the interior and some more vegetation/detailing on the exterior. I'll pay your incentives after I've finished commenting on both builds, let me know when you license them.
  3. I think you mean it tapers [to become smaller or thinner toward one end] as it gets higher? As for license - see my justifications here: Thanks Kai! I toned down the light a bit compared to yours as I figured it probably wouldn't be that bright! But I do love the lens flare in yours! Thanks Garm! Thank you Capt Wolf - Great minds think alike right! Thanks Elos!
  4. Opps! Dark red, dark orange - both are awesome! Actually pretty much dark anything is cool!
  5. That's cool by me - you should build whatever motivates you the most, so if you'd like to do a musket ball factory, go right ahead! If you do, hold off on licensing a couple of days until Decemeber so that you can benefit from the income.
  6. Mesabi, I can't see you pictures (i'm at work and flickr is blocked) or transfer your money (as are Google forms) however I will comment and pay you when I get home. If you are not too far into your second factory, I'll pay the same incentive for a artisan or commercial. Up to you!
  7. Nice one, puts mine to shame! I like the use of tan and white (which is good as that is what I did!), but I think your addition of the grey section at the top really adds to this build and I wish I had thought of it! I also like the addition of the vegetation to the rockwork and the water looks really good. Great job (as usual!)
  8. A lighthouse marks the southern extremes of the entrance to Vanilla Bay. (Medium commerce)
  9. The entrance to Vanilla Bay is a relatively safe one, the channel being sufficiently wide and deep. There are some rocky outcrops off the Southern headland however, and on one of these the Settlement of Jameston has constructed a Lighthouse. Shipping arriving at night are advised to keep the light on their starboard side to avoid running foul of these rocks, especially when the harbour is shrouded in a tropical mist. The light itself is an oil powered lantern, encased in a glass lens to magnify the light. The station is maintained by Royal Marines, and at any time a Royal Navy Petty Officer is available to board visiting ships and provide pilot services into the bay and advice on the best anchorages (the larger commercial wharfs are still all under construction.) -------- And a normal picture! Licensed as a medium commerce in Jameston by the settlement. Feel free to mock my attempts at digitally adding some fog and the light!
  10. Have we seen that ship before? I don't recall a yellow one of yours... but I may have missed it! Looks great anyway! What are the pieces on top of the crates? Third party? Anyway, the line has to end somewhere and a dock scene is as good a place as any. Shouldn't be too much of an issue, although some more texture on the ground and rock work would have been nice.
  11. Nice classic feel - I'm not usually a big fan of the smaller chubby looking vessels, but this one appeals to me for some reason. Nice job!
  12. As others have commented, that telescope is very good! But then so are the wooden platforms and the rockwork - great job all round!
  13. A very nice building - I'm a sucker for the dark red, it looks great! Those are offsets are very well done and are really effective at enhancing this otherwise relatively simple building.
  14. Nice one Drunknok! I especially like the fence and gate at the front, the use of the white turntable part looks great. The green house is also very well done. The main building colour scheme works quite well and the yellow and red adds a nice splash of colour without overdoing it. It's very cool how you have reproduced some of the different styles of sugar cane we have seen in previous builds as well as some of the other sweet plants. Overall great job, and I'm very happy to have the academy in Jameston! I will pay the incentive now.
  15. Great warehouse Kwatchi. I particularly like the horizontal rock work at the base (I am struggling with some of that at the moment of a challenge build!). Also I love the use of the classic yellow - it works really well here - great job!
  16. Spectacular 'micro' build KB! It really captures the grandeur of the palace complex in a way that would simply not be possible in minifig scale. Amazing job!
  17. Probably one of the best interiors we have seen here yet - and that's saying something as some of your previous have been pretty good! The colours and sheer size are impressive, and there are way too many great details to list, although I will give a special mention to the shot of the mysterious stranger sitting in the courner, I love that shot! Good concept to tell the story as a series of... well stories! Great job and I look forward to more!
  18. ^ This!!!! 100percent agree - MASTER is the correct word! I admit I was worried as the deadline approached that we wouldn't see this adventure progress - Glad I was wrong! As usual an excellent use of bright vibrant colours (The isle of flowers was a great choice for your style!) combined with great minifig posing and interesting structures. Great job!
  19. Another Beauty here Elos! As mentioned by others the cutaway looks really good, but to me the stand out is the attention to detail in the landscape and vegetation. I spy a cocoa tree, and the combo of green, dark green and lime is executed masterfully here. As for the bridge itself, the construction scene is amazing. A truly awesome component here for the Royal Wagonway collaboration! Thank you!
  20. A nice inn with a unique colour scheme. Interesting agreement - looks like the Governor will have to keep a close eye on the western end of Cascadia...
  21. @Bregir and I were briefly discussing this the other day - I wholeheartedly agree - settlements should receive some benefit from trade - Your suggested solution also makes a lot of sense to me, I support it!
  22. Great job Flavious! It is looking really nice! I like the colour scheme and I think the hinges worked very well. Rendering would make it look even better! A while ago @Kolonialbeamter recommended I use an add-on in addition with Blue Render, and I find it works really well - the add on (I forget it's name.. Bublile or something like that...) anyway it is no longer available, but I think KB mentioned recently there is a new one... As for the 200DB, I will happily pay shortly - You guys are determined to make me broke this month!!!!
  23. Awesome looking Dragoons Khorne! But I do think you got my troops confused with @Lord Buckethead's Royal Engineers!
  24. Some guest builders helping out with this one... we have combined by options 1 and 2. Without further ado, here it is: Christopher Sherman's patience was being sorely tested. His studies at the University of Belson had warned of the endless formalities that proceeded discussions in the Southern nations of Halos and although he was acutely aware how important these pleasantries were, part of him wished he could simply move onto the topic he had come to discuss. As he sipped on tea from the elaborate glass cup and exchanged the seemingly endless pleasantries with the village elder, he reflected on the events that had led him to this negotiation. Although his objectives were vague, one of the points stressed was the desire for accurate maps of the southern lands. Indeed, even the extent of the Mokolei Empire to the south was not known. Additionally the commander of his escort had lectured him on the need for local knowledge if they were to successfully move overland between Tazelft and Morghun. A passing caravan merchant had recommended Sherman speak to the local village elder, who was known to provide guides and maps to merchants passing between the two settlements and thus here he was, speaking the the elder in question. They spoke on the open first floor of the Elder's house, sat on a magnificent Mokolei rug and overlooking the busy village streets. Mokolei - Overview by @Ayrlego His sub conscience jolted him out of his revere as he realised the elder was about to move onto business. Being mindful to not directly broach the subject, he began to explain his needs in what felt like a most round about way. Eventually, after another round of hot tea and a course of sweet pastries flavoured with honey and nuts and of course the ubiquitous Molokei dried dates, he had appeared to make progress with the elder. A second, much younger man appeared in a white turban and orange robes, with a neatly trimmed black beard. Mokolei - Diplomagic by @Ayrlego The elder explained this was his nephew, Rashid, who apparently was an experienced guide who had accompanied many expeditions south. Rashid provided Sherman with a map of the Northern Mokolei statrapies and explained how he would proceed south. 20171108_140019 by @SilentWolf A deal was struck and Sherman was able to move on to meet up with the main expedition - after another round of tea and sweets of course.
