Another incredible and hilarious build. Despite your builds against Octan, I hope we see more from you in the future!

Welcome Corvo!

33 credits to Bob please.

I see nothing in the rules saying a homeworld cannot be taken. Given that Kawa is within striking distance, might not hurt to hear officially though.
-
I'd also suggest a DP bonus for building "at home". I mean, it would just stand to reason that defending your home planet would be easier than some place you are conquering. Something like +1 DP for builds on your own corp's home planet.

Impressive battle. I'm glad there are daytime shots also to better get a sense of what is going on. The blacklight pics are fun, but hard to see details. Some cool stuff like Mike S (I believe) with the saw and sparks on the ground.

That Kawashita mech is pretty much the coolest Lego mech I've ever seen.

I too didn't get that we were seeing the underside of a ship. It also looks like you spent some time making that little hill, but then faced it away from the camera. Next time I would swing it around so we see the nicely styled part instead of the underside of the bricks. Even a side shot would work.

Nice sandworm, speeder and tree. My only critique is that with the black parts sticking out of the ground your "tools" really sort of blend in. Ideally if you had them in gray or another color it would be easier to differentiate them.

I like the shape of the ship and the fact that the bike and rider actually fit! Lady K is pretty tough with her knife throwing and bike riding! Good pics to back up the story. And nice that I made a cameo!

Nice vibe to the scene. Despite all the people around him, he is alone. Quite somber.

Great picture taking angles and I like the Tarantino over-the-top violence. That Kawashita guy seemed a bit too happy at his exotic pleasure/chicken.

I like the design of it, smooth with some cool legs. And the colorful bit on the end really shines next to the gray. My only suggestion would be that, like its namesake, bigger back legs would seem appropriate. Given the weight of those large appendages it would seem that more weight would rest on the back legs and they might need to be beefier. But a neat looking extractor.

I like the little indentation he is hiding in, makes it that much more real. The little sleeping bags in the tent and the slushy ice water are well done too. Very nice build overall. Only thing I might have added to the tent would be a pole at the peak on either side to keep it securely up.

Great use of minifig heads to match the story. I like the little ship, those curved pieces work really well with that bubble canopy. Incredible story as always.

The building is great and very Octan. The lab area reminds me of Breaking Bad. We gotta get Dr. Long a better robot!

Really love the mech, impressive you were able to do it at micro scale too. The story continues to be fantastic. I am glad you changed the feet from the toed version since the toes didn't touch the ground.

I thought of that spring in Yellowstone as soon as I saw it! Love the underwater steam vent and the rippling and bubbling at the surface.

The drop ship reminds me of an alien Higgins boat. Nice terrain and lava.

The devil is in the details and you've got the details covered! The tubing between the various sections is great. Love the rockwork. The only part that stands out a bit to me is that one light gray long tile by the domes. Nowhere else are you using that color, so it really is a bit prominent. I think it would have been preferable to move the cooling towers one stud closers to the domes and eliminate it as it is a bit of a sore thumb. But that is just one minor point in an otherwise splendid build.

I appreciate the feedback on the pipes. It is a struggle sometimes to translate what my minds-eye sees into a Lego form that is more universally recognized. I try to have the story fill in the gaps.

Yeah, it was tough, I was going for the parts that you attach as you drill deeper into the ground. Alas Lego doesn't really have the best options to portray that.

I like the build and the changes you made to the speeder really help it. Feels more cohesive this way. The landscape is amazing as always and the steam coming out is really nice. The knocked over plants in the wake of the speeder is a nice touch. My one critique is that purple is very distracting. It totally overwhelms the scene and on the side shots removes all the great contrast the pink flowers have. Ideally the background is ... well a background. That shade really draws a lot of attention and I find it detracts from the build.

Location: F02 Lesser Drigo Tags: Science, Octan, Civil, Vehicle, Ground Vehicle // PERSONAL DIARY // After last week's vehicle debacle I contacted one of our best engineers to help me procure a more suitable choice. Big Z is one of the finest engineers anywhere and he was very happy to help me out. I was going to be observing wildlife on Lesser Drigo and wanted something that would allow me to do so without scaring it off. I gave Big Z the general idea of what I'd be doing and where and he said no problem. When we arrived in the hangar bay to load all of my science equipment and supplies I was ... surprised. "Subtle" was all ED-208 said. "This will certainly help us get around easily!" I cheerfully suggested. ED-208 stopped his inspection of our ride to suggest it would be for the best if he drove this time. I happily noted that it would be the most logical solution since I would need to focus on observing. I wasn't sure what to name our new ride, ED-208 suggested the OCS Overcompensating, but I told him that made no sense since it was a land vehicle and not a ship. I thought I heard him mumble "And I'm the robot?" but that wouldn't make sense since he IS a robot. I finally suggested we call it the Long Range Explorer, I doubt anyone will realize why I named it that! Dr. Long had been rather disappointed in my efforts last week to collect samples for the geology folks. I guess picking up random rocks isn't what they had hoped for. So this week I was going to be bringing along a drill to collect some core samples. She said that we needed to establish how the planet had formed to better grasp where the water pockets were. I feel like she was in an unusually bad mood, so I wanted to be extra diligent this week to make her happy. For my own scientific pursuits I had 2 biocontainment units with lichen. One would be used as the control while the other would be exposed to Lesser Drigo's atmosphere and insect life to observe the interaction. It would be very exciting if I could present my findings to Dr. Long and hopefully earn back some of the trust she had placed in me after my failings last week. Maybe I could find a new scorpion species, I know she is very interested in them! I was glad that Dr. Long still cared enough about me to allow ED-208 to continue to stay with me. He, well I guess being a robot there is no gender but since it had a male voice I thought of it as "him", made things less lonely. Plus I felt better having someone around to keep an eye out and protect me. At times I become lost in thought and can fail to see danger. For instance last week before heading to Lesser Drigo I'd been on Jurin II and nearly walked off the edge of a landing platform, but one of the engineers yelled at me at the last second. Fortunately Dr. Long wasn't there at the time and she even let me fetch John Hannibal's ship which was quite an honor! I think it was her subtle way of getting me noticed by another Exec since she knows how capable I am. I sure hope my hectic schedule slows down a bit soon so I can get back to my drone work. ED-208 would likely be a great assistant with that too. With my pal ED-208 by my side, we can do some really great stuff for Octan. And we can make Dr. Long really proud of us.
