  2. Greetings Fellow Sci-Fi Fans, I present to you my version of the Bushwacker Battlemech from the PC game Mechwarrior 4. It is fully posable. It has great balance, and its strong. It took 2 months to design, perfect and build. I was up every night until 4 AM. It is captured in a running and gunning pose. I will try to make better pictures in the future. Feedback is welcome. Features of the BSW-S2 variant: The S2 is a variant of the Bushwacker that makes the 'Mech more effective at short to medium ranges. The 'Mech carries an ER Large Laser to allow the 'Mech to engage an enemy at long ranges as it closes. The 'Mech carries an LB-X Autocannon/10 or a Rotary 5 unit with 6 barrels, which can fire both standard and cluster ammunition for long to medium range engagement capabilities. For close combat, the 'Mech has two SRM-4 short range missile launchers, making it a powerful unit at any range. For added defense, the S2 carries an Anti-Missile System. 3. Introducing my most popular MOC to date! Chibimus Prime! Featuring - 32 points of articulation - Facial Expressions!!! - Transforms!!! This MOC took me around a week from conceptualisation to completion. The reason to go Chibi (cute in Japanese) style for Prime was to capture the essence and look of Optimus Prime and keeping the transformation simple. As such much emphasis is placed on the retaining as much key aesthetics on Prime with a bit of artistic liberties and personal input. Please visit my Flickr album for Chibimus Prime for more pictures and detailed description! Thank you! https://flic.kr/s/aHskeWNToB (PS: Somehow I can't add more than one picture on the thread, not sure why)
  4. Hi there, Happy to find Eurobricks! What an amazing fan site this is, with so many wonderful creations. I'm an artist, and a long time Lego fan, but new to the online Lego communities. My four children grew up with Lego, and now my two little grandsons are enjoying the Lego universe as well. My current interest is in Sci-fi and space themes.
  5. Location: G04 - Fractor V Tags: Building, Vehicle While scouting out Fractor V, an Octan explorer came upon a tiny, yet highly advanced, alien civilization. He was going to get a closer look at some of the buildings when he noticed several hostile looking spaceships coming right towards him! Deciding a closer look could wait, he turned heel and ran. Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt: Link Thanks for looking, C&C appreciated

  7. Hello everyone! I've been off Eurobricks too long, but this fun contest and the possibility of winning a SPACESHIP! x3 has drawn me back. So without further ado, I present my entry to the Home Sweet Home Contest, intended to fit into category A (48x48 studs) Colonial Living Unit (I really hope I didn't accidentally steal that name from someone...?) During the Colonial Period, pilgrims would build sturdy houses out of logs and wood. Contact with American natives allowe-</i> Confound it, wrong Colonial Period! During the Second Colonial Period, FTL starships finally allowed slow-but-in-your-lifetime transport to other planets. One of the first promising worlds to be colonized was Luther 372, (though the Hyndyuna natives, unbeknownst to humanity at the time, called it Oumoros) a vibrant, toxic planet. However, the global temperature was ideal and the atmosphere and oceans were very similar to Earth's. Very little terraforming was necessary and the first colonists, living in prefabricated house units, were able to supply their homes with air, water, and electricity with an Omnigenerator that converted the acidic dominant liquid on the planet into water, oxygen, and hydrogen. The oxygen was mixed with preexisting gases in the atmosphere to create the ideal mixture necessary for humans and the hydrogen underwent nuclear fusion, providing energy. Thus the stage was set for the beginning of the Human-Hyndyuna War over Oumoros. Right side. Back. I know that rockwork is not particularly significant, but I spent the longest time trying to get a pretty smooth transition from the building into the stone; the intent being that these colonists are trying to conserve materials by having Nature make up some of their house. Aaaaand the left side, showing more rockwork and a fancy little airlock. To follow are a selection of detail pics, because I have certainly tried to put a whole lot of detail into this MOC to make up for the lack of an interior. Unfortunately, the hexagonal construction required a lot of ugly brickwork on the inside. She better remember to put on her helmet before opening the airlock! And HE better remember not to ask what's for dinner first thing, or he'll be the one in the airlock without a helmet... The dark bley printed tile here kind of messes with the color scheme a bit, but it was too perfect. Also, antennae. A closer look at the rock-house transition. And now a look at the landscaped portion of the MOC. This natural spring was an ideal spot to build the housing unit near to because of the ease of procuring fresh liquid for the Omnigenerator. Speaking of which... ...Nope, saving it for later on. Here's the spring's output. I originally had a brickbuilt waterfall but this looked more natural. A closer look at what passes for fungi on Oumoros. Though other parts of the planet have more Earthlike flora, vast plains exist upon which nothing grows except for massive networks of this mainly subterranean fungi. The occasional upshoot is necessary to collect Sun-er, starlight. MY FAVORITE PART!!!! The OMNIGENERATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...Basically just a huge hunk of ideas for greebles that I didn't or couldn't use on the building. I threw them together to fill in this space and instantly fell in love. Man, flex tubing makes everything better... However, it does serve an important purpose, as mentioned above; powering the housing unit with the bare necessities. OBLIGATORY EXTRA PHOTOS SHALL FOLLOW This glare-infested dome is the communications array. It sends messages and receives Internet signals (sadly, always outdated by a few weeks) via orbiting satellites. The dome protects the delicate components from the (literally!) acid rain and helps to amplify the signal. CURSE YOU GLARE!!!! :shakes fist at all nearby sources of direct light: Lastly, a similarly glare-infested (I had to use my big photoshoot for this one. ) size check to make sure that my entry does, in fact, fit into category A. Sadly, I do not yet own a 48x48 baseplate, but my other baseplates and some math proves that it does indeed. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Fourth Wall: 1.) The building's color scheme is based off of Bart De Dobbelaer's brilliant Hex series! Hope you don't mind, Bart, but I could think of anything better. 2.) This build really DOES fit in my lightbox! The pictures still have glare all over, but they are much improved from yesterday's. 3.) This fits into a themed series of scifi MOCs on the same planet. 4.)Yeah, I'm late. But not too late. 5.) Wish me luck! 6.) Don't forget to check out the better pictures on Flickr. 7.) SO MANY SMILIES I hope you enjoy it; please tell me what you think!
  8. Hi all:) This Space vehicle is part of my Space layout (WIP) The Planet Rover is an three-wheeled leight weight vehicle for fast movement aroumnd the planet. Hope you like it:) Soon I'll post more vehicles for the layout
  9. Hello! This is my first post on these forums so I hope I do ok. When I was a kid I played with Lego a lot, but, for a long time it's remained a happy memory. Well, no more! Since the start of 2013 I bought various Minifigs, my girlfriend got me the Shellob LoTR set on my birthday and we recently bought the Simpson's house which we are slowly building together. I had so much fun with all that, I knew I had to treat myself, so, I got a Death Star kit to play about with! It was fun to build it following the instructions, but, I soon dismantled it to make some stuff of my own. Totally freestyling it and putting bits together without a plan, I managed to end up with this. :) It's made with just the Death Star kit as I don't have extra spares. There are a few additional Minifigs added, but that's it. So, I believe this is my first MOC for about 20 years. Don't think it will be my last! Front view of the entire moonbase. The moonbase prepares to fire. The evil Lord Doom at the helm, ready to lay waste to any unfortunates who get in his way! The sensor array scans for another target. Opening it up to show the main power-core. The top level worker and Lord Doom have jetpacks to quickly zoom around and check systems and readouts. Another angle of the interior with side modules removed. A back view of the station, showing its Commander. Another back view The secondary power coil, which creates the deadly radioactive energy blasts the planetkiller can fire. Trapped inside is Lord Doom's prisoner, The Beast, who comes from a species immune to the deadly radioactivity. He dreams of escape! Lord Doom smirking away as the moonbase locks onto a target. In his cell The Beast reluctantly powers up the radioactivity beam while a guard watches from above. Views of just the main module (I made it in three bits for ease of movement and to show off The Beast's cell better) and the little latch for holding the front together.
  10. A few months ago, I've made this MOC. The Rock Raiders can use this vehicle to transport energy crystals and mining equipment to locations what's not reachable for ground vehicles. It's based on the original Rock Raiders 4980 Tunnel Transport. But it's not a replacement for the original one, but a extra air unit with more functionality;) Landing pads adapts to the surface Cabin and engines can be connected together Crystal carrier Bobcat More photo's at Flickr: Hope you like it :)
  11. Last week I've made the Tracked Crystal Digger. It's a concept for the Rock Raiders 2 game. 14. EDIT #2~ Here is my updated Challenge 1 entry! A Desert Butte on Guinevere. 20x20 studs, unedited and no figs. Not exactly superior to my larger scene/story below, but it's the best I could do in 30 minutes! Below is a freebuild based on my previous build, which would not qualify for the challenge (And I do not want to delete it!). Please do not consider it in judging. Begin A06 Freebuild- AG Challenge 1 by Mark E., on Flickr The pristine desert landscape of Guinevere. Only erosion and wind has disturbed these majestic canyons. Until now that is...... When we last left Mark of Orion, he had just jumped from a MANTIS™ dropship onto the surface of Guinevere. Upon contact, the MANTIS™ associates had divided into two teams, one led by Captain Brutus, and the other by Mark. Malcolm strode along with an air of pompous self-importance. "I don't understand why you went back to the ship once you heard we had to split up! What's the deal? Are you afraid of going off on your own?" Mark rolled his eyes. "I don't want to take the risk of walking blind. I had a near-death experience with a 20 foot alien on my last mission and I'm only alive now because a friend of mine was paying attention to the scanner. I'm not so stupid that I can't learn a lesson..." Malcolm grinned like a baked possum. "You were a space pirate or something weren't you?" Mark nodded and continued to scan the rock formations. "Yeah, something like that." Malcolm plodded along after Mark, now oblivious to his surroundings. "You must have not been a very good one if they caught you..." Mark's brow wrinkled. And it was only his solemn duty to MANTIS™ that prevented his teaching insolent Malcolm firsthand the hazardous effects of a certain MANTIS™ Death Ray Blaster© he had strapped to his back. "Avoiding the law is like a marathon, the run is long, but there is a definite end." Malcolm laughed. "Brain over brawn, dude! It's smarts that count in the corporate world." Mark sighed. This was going to be a tiresome mission. "A little physical competence never hurts. Speaking of which, are you covering those cliffs? My scanner reads no lifeforms but something or someone could be cloaked." Malcolm waved his hand as if shooing a fly away. "Relax, man, there's nothing out here! Brutus just likes some drama. There's absolutely nothing to worry abou...(GASP) LOOK OUT!!!!" Malcolm had glanced up at the cliff in question and was horrified by the sight of three armored Kawashita special forces agents! He quickly raised his hand phaser to fire at the enemy! But alas, he was too late! With a bright flash, a nano beam from the Kawashita special forces agent vaporized poor Malcolm on the spot! BRRZAAKKK!!! *Pooof* As soon as Mark heard the shot, he dropped his scanner, drew his MANTIS™ Death Ray Blaster©, and dove towards the canyon wall in one quick motion. He was none too soon! Another nano beam hit the spot Mark was standing milliseconds before! Mark snapped up against the rock wall, blaster ready, and listened for the enemy. He didn't get a chance to see where they were. It wasn't a minute before a taunting voice echoed across the valley. "Come out, come out, wherever you are! Mwahaha!" Another Kawashitan voice chimed in. "Don't worry, Zeloot. He won't get away. This is like shooting a fish in a barrel!" Mark began to analyze his situation as he noticed the small pile of ash where Malcolm stood a minute ago... With the help of a soaring pulse and a rush of adrenaline, a clever plan for survival sprung to mind. The ex-space pirate carefully drew out a small capsule that he had been keeping in his spacesuit. Mark mused to himself, they probably haven't seen this in Kawashita before... Without further thought, Mark threw the small cylinder up towards the jeering voices. The Kawashian special forces anticipated a conventional method of attack. "HAND GRENADE! QUICK, FIRE!" Before they could fire, however, the "hand grenade" let out a powerful electron pulse which promptly zapped the nano beam rifles of Mark's foes! ...Immediately rendering their weapon battery cells useless! Mark didn't wish to let his enemies recover from their shock, and so fired up his Awesomnium Powered Jetpack! Mark now glared eye to eye with the helpless Kawashita employees as he cocked his MANTIS™ Death Ray Blaster© four feet from their faces! "You were SAYING?!?!?!" To Be Continued! (Begin commentary) No hard feelings to my dark red friends! Clearly a truce is in your best interests since you are technologically inept in combat. Here are a few shots on a plain background for those who prefer them! Enjoy! The Dire Deserts of Death. by Mark E., on Flickr EDIT* I now realize I didn't read the rules. Shucks! Unless I can find time to fix this consider this a freebuild.
  15. - Log of Agent G - - I have recently arrived on the planet designated A05, or more commonly known as Yallorn II. The flora resembles a typical jungle environment, but the ocean that surrounds each island seems to cool the land, therefore eliminating the hot and sweaty aspect of the jungle. This also allows for some interesting insects and animals. I've reached the edge of one of the larger of the many islands, and am proceeding to inspect the nature of the water. Agent G out. - C&C welcome.
  16. This was built for an RPG on another site. It's pretty much a command center in some moon base or other. I implore you to notice the 1x1s in the base. They were quite frustrating. Here's a shot of my character. He is also the minifigure in my buddy icon. ~Give glory only to God~
  17. Hi all I've been collecting for 8 months now so my creations are getting a little bigger (and hopefully a little better). I've been watching more classic Sci-Fi . This MOC is a homage to "The Fly". Please remember always check the Teleporter for insects before stepping inside.
  18. -O, pardon me, thou bleeding piece of earth, That I am meek and gentle with these butchers! Thou art the ruins of the noblest man That ever lived in the tide of times. Woe to the hand that shed this costly blood! Over thy wounds now do I prophesy,-- Which, like dumb mouths, do ope their ruby lips, To beg the voice and utterance of my tongue-- A curse shall light upon the limbs of men; Domestic fury and fierce civil strife Shall cumber all the parts of Italy; Blood and destruction shall be so in use And dreadful objects so familiar That mothers shall but smile when they behold Their infants quarter'd with the hands of war; All pity choked with custom of fell deeds: And Caesar's spirit, ranging for revenge, With Ate by his side come hot from hell, Shall in these confines with a monarch's voice Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war; That this foul deed shall smell above the earth With carrion men, groaning for burial.- (Credit goes to Shakespeare) I've hidden a bunch of players in here, both M.A.N.T.I.S. & Kawashita, and have taken pictures of them all on my flickr, as well as daytime shots. Check them out if you can't spot them here. Sorry if you're not featured, I don't have a many fig parts as I'd like. C&C most welcome.
  19. Activity- Exploration. Location- Mynderis - A04. Previously, Mark of Orion saved Captan Brutus from the Malicious Munchmoid on Jurin II. In reward for his brave service and quick thinking, Mark was promoted from the exploration dropship team to a new solo mission. Mark was sad to leave his comrades but the new pay grade was definitely a must. Not eating at the maggot-infested cafeteria was pricey at best! Mark's next mission, to try out a new MANTIS™ prototype vehicle. Arachtis Strider M2 The Arachtis Strider M2© has just come out of the diabolical labs of MANTIS™ HQ. Unlike most conventional vehicles, the Strider has six independently-powered limbs that propel the saucer--style body. Made from a mix of Durithium composites, the strong but flexible exoskeleton provides a durable frame for the softer bioengineered core. The "feet" are based on the same cell structure of the tentacles of the Garctaloid of Yallorn II, which can send sensory information to the control panels while providing excellent support and superior grip. But this unique transportation mode is not just for show. The Arachtis Strider can traverse even rough terrain at 85 MPH. And the 9 Awesomnium-powered thrusters means that this craft is capable of effectively flying in upper level atmospheres and beyond. The designers believed interplanetary travel in the current Strider model is possible, though dangerous due to the vehicle's small size and weak debris shields. Understandably, Mark was very excited to man the first expedition in the Arachtis Strider M2©! His first mission was on the currently uncontested planet of Mynderis A04. neither Octan nor Kawashita were believed to have any operatives on the surface. As Mark touched down on the crusty plain, he felt for the first time what is must be like to be a 20-foot tall alien bug! "Ohohoho! This thing is FUN!" The location Mark had been posted was on the northern tip of the volcanic planet, here the temperature was well below freezing and the lava flows and eruptions were less frequent. The advanced computers immediately began to direct Mark to curious object on a rocky slope. On closer inspection, the purple edifice gave off large amounts of energy and radiation. Probably Awesomnium! "Time to try out the feet." Arachtis Strider M2 on Mynderis A04 Mark directed one of the limbs to rest on the larger crystal in the center of the mound. The computer immediately read out, "Content: Crystallized Awesomnium 98%, Basalt ash 2%" Mark smiled. This tech was useful. "Nice! I wonder how deep this crystal thing goes..." "Approximately 1300 feet." "Haha! This is awesome!" "Incorrect: The content is 98% Awesomnium." "Yes, yes! I know! Hmm... Where are those humor settings..." To Be Continued! (Begin commentary) Well, I didn't have much time this week, but I did have a friend over on friday and while we were building and tinkering with the LEGO I managed to come up with this bug saucer thingy! Reminds me of War of the Worlds, even though I've never seen the movie or read the books! Hopefully next week I'll be able to DESTROY reply to all the MANTIS™ Haters!
  20. - Agent G here, Sorn proves to be a relatively un-hostile planet, with the few animal encounters being small reptiles. The real face of Sorn lies beneath, in its icy depths. Fish frolic peacefully here, flitting in and out of the abundant sea-bushes, while white crab like creatures scuttle around in the sifting sands of the ocean beds. My high-tech equipment seems so out of place, cold and lifeless, unlike the bursting ecosystem of Sorn that survives so well without the nutritoxin and Smogg That gets pumped into the air and the water on the more "civilized planets". While we think only of how we may further our reach in the endless reaches of space, we never stop once to think of the life that lies beneath us, choking on our progress... - Comments and Criticism most accepted!
  21. Activity - Exploration. Location - Jurin II - E02 Previously, Mark of Orion had survived a deadly ambush on Guinevere. Now, he and his team were on the other side of the galaxy, exploring the heavily vegetatious planet of Jurin II. "Look at all the flora and fauna! Too bad Malcolm couldn't see all this!" Bert strolled around, happily gazing at all the new species before his eyes. "Malcolm didn't seem to be the type who was interested in plants - he was easily bored with his surroundings, if I recall." Mark scoffed and pushed a branch out of his face. Bert tromped through some thick ground cover. "Yeah, whatever happened to him, anyway? He sure was a jerk." "He got vaporized by a nano-beam of a Kawashita special forces agent." "Oh, that's... too bad. I assume you just ran for it?" "No, I turned to fight all three of 'em." "WOW, what happened?!" "It was all a bit of a blur. I don't remember." Mark said coldly, turning away. Bert decided he'd better stop asking questions, and looked back at his scanner. "Captain Brutus, I'm getting some strange readings - some kind of insectoid life form in this tree!" "There's lots of beetles and bugs around here. Nothing to worry about." The captain gruffly growled. Just then, a Massive Malicious Munchmoid leaped on the terrified captain, disproving his statement. THIS bug was something to worry about! The entire crew immediately panicked at the sight of the grotesque creature dropping from the trees. The Munchmoid landed squarely on the captain, who screamed loudly, muffled underneath the bug's weight. Lew, who was standing next to Mark of Orion, attempted to disarm the bug with his phaser, but was too frightened to aim properly and the shot went wide. Mark of Orion, however, knew he must act quickly, and in one step, set his MANTIS™ death ray blaster© against the creature's forehead. Mark's death ray blaster sang its song, and the Munchmoid went flying backwards from the sheer force of the glowing blast. Captain Brutus leapt back from the scene of his near demise. "GAAAHH! It almost got me! I can't feel my arm!" "That would be my blaster, sir. The ray must have clipped your arm." Mark jumped in between him and the still form of the Munchmoid. "Then why isn't it GONE?! And the beastly bug too?!" "I took the liberty of adding a stun setting to my MANTIS™ death ray blaster©. I assume you will approve, considering you still have your arm?" "Ah, yes, yes, that's fine, Orion, thank you." The captain pointed at the Munchmoid. "Now VAPORIZE this thing!" "Wait, sir. It's completely stunned and won't move for days. Why don't we drag it back to the dropship and use it for research?" Mark suggested with a grin. "Are you KIDDING me?!" Mark's grin continued. Apparently, he wasn't. "Ugh. All right. YOU get to drag it back, then." The captain rolled his one eye. And with that, the slightly shaken and jittery crew headed back to their ship. ...To Be Continued! (Begin Commentary) Well, I was completely swamped with school this weekend, but I still wanted to get a little build in for AG. Hopefully I'll have more time in the next few weeks to do something even bigger and better. Here's a final overview shot:
  22. Hi all, Here is my Predator Warlord Figure. My idea was that this is the Predator heavy duty warfare/bug hunting equipment. Kind of like the beefed up Predators from the AvP movie. Hope you like it.

  24. Hi, everyone! Although it is not done yet, I still want to show you guy my K-18. . . . The images are big, please wait... I will upload the complete model to Lego Ideas before the end of August, I hope. This is the incomplete gun that will be used by the battle armor. Or I will make another one. Ok! That's all. Please support me later! Thanks!
  25. Activity - Exploration. Location - Guinevere - A06 The overall strategy of MANTIS™ HQ was being revealed with each planet its associates occupied. They had dashed a straight line to Guinevere, a humble volcanic desert planet with one huge attraction to explorers and conquerors alike, GOLD. Yes, mighty MANTIS™ needed gold. And it seemed that a rival corporation, Kawashita, needed gold too, as they had also made a beeline to planet A06! Previously, Mark of Orion had successfully survived a harrowing mission on Yallorn II. As a reward for his brave service in shooting a dangerous pest, he was transferred to the First Branch Division Exploration Team. Captain Brutus checked the sight on his MANTIS™ Death Ray Blaster© "So, Spikes, what do you think of the new transfers?" Spikes took a long sip from his glowing flask. "Hard to say Brutus, If they survive this mission they should be able to handle anything!" "You got THAT right. Lew is from Special Forces, he should be ok. Malcolm is a newbie and he probably won't be ok... What about this Mark guy? His resume said "extensive interstellar piracy experience"! I think he'll fit right in!" Spikes spat out his second sip. PHHIFF! "Cough-cough"... "Wait, Mark? As in, Orion?" "Yeah, you heard of 'im?" "Yes! I had the misfortune to run into him and his ship on a trader just off of Rallawok III a few years back!" Brutus raised his only eyebrow. A bionic implant rested in the socket of the other eye. "What happened?!" Spikes grinned as he wiped the green liquid from his stubbled mouth. "Don't ask. Just know if he's with us, we should do well." Brutus inspected his new crew with his single critical eye. "Looking right, rough, and ready, men!... Wait a second! Lew, that flame-job decal on your helmet is NOT up to regulation..." Lew looked furious. "SO?!?" Brutus grinned. "Haha! Right answer! I like a brave trooper! You can keep it, Lew! All right troops, grab what gear you want! Don't carry more than you need!" The MANTIS™ operatives quickly picked out their favorite weapons and scanners. Lew and Malcolm snatched some Phasers. Mark grabbed his favorite MANTIS™ Death Ray Blaster© and Bert picked up a long-range handheld scanner. Bert looked around nervously. "Uh, hey. You didn't taste anything weird in the cafeteria lunch yesterday, did you?" Mark didn't look surprised. "Nope, I don't usually eat at the cafeteria..." "Well I haven't felt right since! I think it was those maggots." "That's why I don't usually eat at the cafeteria..." Brutus bellowed in his deep scratchy voice. "Ok, guys gather 'round! We're gonna have a little "pep-talk"!" "Ok, As you know, Kawashita is just as interested in this planet as we are. They could potentially have drones, ground troops, and their famous battle mechs on the surface already..." If you see ANYTHING with different corporate colors than ours, shoot first and ask questions later. I'm sure they will be doing the same. Unless you are totally outgunned, in which case, retreat as fast as possible. Get in, find gold, and get out! Understood?!" Brutus nodded to Spikes. "Open the door!"
