The angling on the bridge and overall street scene is really well done. Great speeder bike, the saddle bags are very reminiscent of WWII Harleys.

Just something I did in Photoshop to try and get people to sign up. Feel free to use it.

That greenhouse built into the rock is really lovely. It is so well integrated!

33 credits to Mr. De Quatre please.

Nah, can't be Pombe... This guy has clothes on! Good dialogue and a nifty little scene. I like the formal setting as it is a nice break from the usual AG scene.

The colorful landscape mixed with the gray rock work is just fantastic. I do agree on the color choice on the speeder as it blends a bit too much and many of the colorful speeder parts are used in the scene. The speeder design itself is great, just the colors seem off.

That robot is great, in the first pic I glossed right over it, mistaking it for a minifig! Love the tank too, nice shaping and detailing.

That is a fine looking machine, and it is even a convertible! I like the dream sequence and the inevitable arrival of the grown up alien.

Eshey is definitely a favorite of mine. Nice mini-mojito and great alien!

That is a really cool sub and I love the giant alien hand grabbing it!

Location: H08 Sinden's Run Tags: Science, Octan, Civil, Space Vehicle // PERSONAL DIARY // One of our ELINT vessels picked up a weird signal coming from the Sinden's Run region. I'd been working on the weird listening posts and thought it might be connected. I asked Dr. Long if I could go with ED-208 to investigate and she agreed it would be for the best. She had seemed tense lately. Well, more tense. Every time I went to her office to discuss a theory about the listening posts with her she acted very tired and weary. Clearly she was worried about this and I needed to get to the bottom of it! Knowing that we would need to pinpoint the signal's source I launched one of my new astrodroid's to locate it. Within a day it had found the source and using its gripper claws had clung to it. It was very close to the object so it was hard to tell what it was, but it looked a lot like an asteroid. I wasn't sure what we would find, but since it was in space and I was likely to want to get a close look at it I decided to grab one of our Octan space suits so I could be free to inspect it. ED-208 grabbed one of our space maintenance craft and modified it with "essential equipment". I noted that simply was a heavy gun and he stated "that will solve any issues we come across." I asked how it would help if I had a leak in my suit or something and he insisted it would "fix it, don't worry." He must mean he could salvage parts from the gun to render assistance. As we arrived I could see it was not a natural asteroid, it was simply made to look like one. It even had fake Awesomnium deposits on it. ED-208 suggested we destroy it immediately. I said that we needed to analyze it to see what clues it had. I offered that once it had been analyzed by myself and others at Octan that I would submit a request that he be allowed to be the one to properly dispose of it. I know his mouth piece doesn't allow for it, but I could swear I saw him grin. Extra pics:

A and B have clear winners, but with 3 9s in C how is the winner determined?

With that you are back in black. Me too! I figured this contest would get a lot of people into positive territory.

This was a lot of fun, thanks to the judges! Congrats to all who participated!

180 credits to Bob please.

If the rules as laid out aren't the rules, then what is fair? On most of this there was 1 month of notice, if you can't get it together in that much time, then that is your own fault. I know there are no prizes, no one loses a job over this, but why should I work to make my stuff get done on time if others get to not be penalized for being late. You want to make an exception for one or two people and penalize the vast majority for playing by the rules. That is a good way to get people to stop playing.
-
Late is late. If your flight is at 8 am and you arrive at 9 am you can't have the airline just fly you on up to the plane. If the deadline isn't really the deadline people will try to skirt it and the whole notion of late will grow and grow. If the rule is entries are accepted until 11:59:59 pm on a certain day, posting at 12:01 am the following day means you missed it. I don't get why we are arguing over what to do when the rules are very clear. And I don't really see a need to alter rules we've all been playing with thus far. Why add complexity?

Welcome to Octan! Nice to see new people joining up!

I love the new ship. Great that you seem to be the only one to give people a bathroom! As always the dialogue and humor are top notch! That second floor is very well laid out and nice that you even gave them windows.

A very Mantis looking ship, feels vaguely insectoid. Neat hidden weapons and I like the inclusion of the luggage in the hold with Sal.

Beautiful! Has a feeling of current aerial refueling planes and a bit of oil rig mixed in. All the piping really makes the ship look the part! I'm amazed at your vast supply of control screens. -
Humorous as always! I love all the characters you include in each build. I like the little vehicle and that alien is really cute.
