And just in time for Father's day! The one day of the year that the missus cannot fuss at you for spending all day on Lego! -

So for everybody that is going to jump on this project, should we start a new thread to share our building experiences/trails/tips/calamities? -

Any updates? Can we expected plans to be posted today or is school still getting in the way? Thanks! -
What a nice gesture! I wish I was able to attend and join in the bidding. Now if you had offered up the Challenger, I might be buying a last minute plane ticket!

Get that school work done! You're not getting graded on timeliness for the plans. I've waited years for this and another few weeks will not matter. One last question - is it possible to post the parts list? Or is that still in flux? Step one of these projects is draining the wallet on Bricklink. When I built Cavegods AT-AT a few years back, I remember that getting the parts took longer than the actual build. -

Any updates on the 9 June release? Just trying to plan my Thursday! Do I need to be home in front of the computer at 7:00 or should I go to the end-of-year church BBQ? While I am very much looking forward to these plans, don't rush on my (our?) account. I have all summer! What program will be needed to run the instructions? Obviously (and thankfully!) this is not going to be in LDD. Hope the school work is going well. -

A grand sight to see! Thanks for posting. You need to post this (and that video of the 7 unit/43 car Maersk train) over at the "Longest Train" thread. They certainly qualify! Did you design the Santa Fe train in LDD? -

Ahhh! Thus the press to get the instructions done! I remember the baby days and how the missus does not take too kindly lots of Lego time with a new little one in the house. Congrats to both of you. Any info on how your going to distribute the plans? I do hope you place a price on your instructions 'cause (literally) "baby needs a new pair of shoes!" -
I think I qualify by now. May I please have a tag? Thanks!

Very nice! Your "Hoth Generator Defense" set is everything that we wish the Lego set was - accurate details coupled with a very reasonable piece count. The Taun-Taun in adorable! I am really looking forward to see what additional pieces you come up with. Perhaps a better Ion cannon?

I'm not trying to be a troll but I do not understand the point of your design. Why try to build something " like Lego would design it as if it were a set"? As you have said, Lego has already done this model several times over and, frankly, their versions are better then yours in several ways: cockpit opens, speed brakes operate, tow cable installed, etc. You have removed all the fun play features and not added any relevant details to make up for this loss. Personally, I want to see new and stunning things that Lego hasn't done on Eurobrick. I split my time between Star Wars and the Train Tech forum so I am familiar with your posts over there, many which are interesting and well thought out. I've seen you do some cool stuff, I just don't think this is one of them. But this is just one opinion from a guy that wishes he did much more building and designing.

Im not trying to take away from your creation but check-out this thread on one of the best mini-fig scale T-47 snowspeeders created. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112692&st=0

Lovely building! A real eye-catcher with the exterior details! One nit-pick item though. Since Prohibition in the USA lasted from 1920 to 1933, it probably wasn't established until after that, unless they started out in the root-beer market. (but the ex-employee seems to be drinking something a little stronger!) unrelated.....many Grand Emporiums died to bring you this building...... -

It looks the end of part #73590c01a (Hose, Flexible 8.5L with Tabless Ends (Ends same color as Tube)) http://alpha.brickli...age?id=1611#T=C Which I see is part #752 (White Hose, Flexible 8.5L, End 1 x 1 x 2/3 Tabless) http://www.bricklink...P=752&colorID=1 I'll have to add that to my "always-look-for-to-add-to-an-order" list! I think that I would use the lever base (#4592) for the front of the y-wing engine and they are more dome shaped. https://alpha.brickl...page?P=4592#T=C -

While looking for Tim Goddard's Millennium Falcon design, I ran across his Y-wing design which is about the right scale. ywings2 by Tim Goddard, on Flickr ....and the rest of the classic fighters from Tim: xwing2 by Tim Goddard, on Flickr bwing5 by Tim Goddard, on Flickr awproto3 by Tim Goddard, on Flickr -
Maybe I missed it, but are you going to take this to any shows? That certainly would be a draw for me to drive the extra miles to see it! Great job!

DSC01539 by Scott Roys, on Flickr DSC01537 by Scott Roys, on Flickr Both of these models are Lego produced. The X-wing is polybag #30051 and is about 10 studs long. The Y-wing came as a bonus with 4 of the mini-building kits (4488-4491) that came out on 2003. You got one section of the Y-wing in each of the 4 sets. It's about 15 studs long. Surprisingly, this is the only Y-wing offering and the B-Wing and A-Wing have never had the poly treatment. Both models are a tad big but serve as a good starting point for editing. -

6 or 7 studs? That sounds like one of the planet sets or a poly-bag set of the X-wing. Will have to come up with my own mini A, B and Y wing. Ill check out the Goddard MF design. Thanks! -

Like many others, I am really looking forward to having the opportunity to build this magnificent ship. Selfishly, I'm hoping that the plans do not come available until mid-summer when I have other projects and activities behind me. One thing that I am wondering is if it is possible to publish the plans for just the Millennium Falcon. Mostly this would be to get a good idea of the scale so that I could work on some same-scale fighters to recreate the closing scene of ESB. Again, thanks for creating this opportunity for those of us with limited creativity. -

What a fantastic train!! This is going to be massive when complete. Do you have enough track to run the entire train on? It will certainly need some ME models wide radius curves ! Any chance that your LDD files will be posted any place? I would love do this project some time in the future. -
Interesting! Reminds me of set #7664: the TIE Crawler.

Kris: You overlook post #90 that has exactly what you asked for. Good stuff!

Love at first sight! Cant wait for the plans to be offered as I'll be first in line for them. I hope that you charge for them to pay yourself back for all that effort!! -
Wow!! That is really something! Especially impressive is that everything is scratch built. If you look close at about 1 min mark, you can see the caboose on the other side of the table. Has the Mallet been highlighted anyplace? I'd love to see some close-ups of that and know the details of how it is powered. Well done!
