Fantastic! Superb idea to move pistons to the begining of each section of the arm. I kinda envy you as I always wanted to try this one, but never got the balls to tackle the problems of making it. Well done again!

If my german is any good, I understood thecarticle in a way that due to very busy production lines with many other new sets released, certain parts for the Liebherr won't be produced fast enough in big enough quantities to release it on worldwide scale in august. I didn't read anything about problems with parts themselves... feels a bit strange that just 2 months before the release and after so many tests some would be wrong with the parts...although it did happen before in the past (weak LAs)

Nico71's Creations

Wow, fantastic work on both - the forklift and the Honda! -
I was at bauma today. Impressive showcase by Liebherr and overall at the fair. There was a R9200E to see but not R9800. I did imvestigate all around the information booths of Liebherr and finaly got some news on the LEGO model. A friendly fan shop manager lady told me that the LEGO model is infact displayed here on Bauma, but not for general public - only for bussiness partners and higher clearance visitors...siuts and ties so to speak :-( So we have to wait further... I can say that I did saw one version of the R9800 - it was a fine detail metal model which was rather big (i believe 1:50) and cost 395 euro in Liebherr fan shop. But Lego model should be larger than this one and as far as we know more expensive...

@rskamen Hi, I only built the modified version with the counterweights. If I am not mistaken @dunes prepared the digital file. As much as I know, there is no pdf, no. I suggest installing stud.io - I was having issues with LDD as well but none with stud.io. I think you can start with the original from akiyuki and then go from there.

Zero's workshop
MajklSpajkl replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
@Zerobricks yes, it was meant as praise, you know... in our Slovenian way, with a pinch of jealousy About that links - I knew you had it figured out Waiting for the presentations then. Best regards! -

Some heavy cannons there It is really hard to like you man - I struggle with one model like hell and you just go bang! - here are three cool MOCs out of my sleeve I do have some concerns about that tatra steering to go out of sync between left and right side as those small LAs do like to click a lot... -
Hi, virtual pivot point is where both longitudinal axis of the black liftarms cross. This point should be in the centre of your wheel, so the wheel doesn't circle forward and backward around the pivot poimt. So when altering the lengths of the liftarms and distance between their attachment points you are moving virtual pivot point closer or away from the actual build. https://images.app.goo.gl/P7XDN6CV3kEgnRvr9 On the left, pivot point is on the inner side of the wheel, and on the right, it is far to oitside of the wheel.

@marshall74 Thank you very much. There might be instructions, but not very soon I fear. Best regards.

So, about 956 2L red axles, is it? Jokes aside...fantastic design. I really like your style! And 10 days in total seem out of this world Cool renders too - at first I thought those are photos with replaced background by your green "blue screen" :-)

That is one big beast! Looks really dangerous ;-) Are the wheels also ran by motors or just the tracks? Big sprocket wheels are definetly on "to buy" list.

I've built a "simple" motorised display turntable for one of our exhibitions and a good friend asked for instructions so I made a quick photo sequence and HERE there are for all of you who might find it interesting. It is based on the 42082 turntable and a keen eye will find it totaly unoptimised and too expensive :-) But here it is - and it is what it is. It handled the weight of OOB Chiron for a weekend with no problem. Best regards.

Well done - it looks like a non-lego model and the colour scheme really pops out. Since you've managed to make it quite realistic, I think adding strings between the wings would really add that final cherry on top. Congratulations and good luck on the competition.

Custom springs
MajklSpajkl replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Since this popped out out of prehistoric, here is what I came up with (maybe it was done before, I don't know) for my current WIP, which will be finished godknowswhen: I used only the black piece of the regullar schock absorber and stuck it into a pin connector. It has the same functionality as the regular one but with half the height.
