  1. This whole layout is gorgeous, I really like all the fantastic landscaping. Great job TBRR group, you all deserve a good applause.
  2. @ Murdoch17........Thank-you so much, great idea about splitting the platform. I moved this MOD for photos and it slipped out of my hands It sounded like glass hitting the floor! Half an hour later and reassembling all was well. @ BricksMcgee......Go ahead and get those bricks, I'm very happy how this 'no backside' creation turned out, as Murdoch17 said it displays a "very tropical vibe", I used instructions to build the palms by a EB member, Mike S. @ cgarison...........Thank-you for the compliment ( Lazarus developed this MOC! ) I just added a lot of life into it The 7 wide locomotive is my very first MOC of a EMD F40PH in Amtrak style, the original design made by bmjackson81. As there were no instructions, I set out studying these locomotives right here in Beach Grove, IN at the Amtrak depot. One plate and several attempts with many rebuilds, I finally got the shape and size I wanted for my Amtrak Train. Even the coaches I built from scratch, as I couldn't afford the Amtrak set Lego released years ago, besides I had boxes of old Lt Gray to use up ( plus I thought the loco of this set was terrible ) My train now has four coaches and pulls very well with one motor in the diesel, I made sure it could handle the short radius of Lego track in curves. Plus this locomotive is equipped with PF, so I can run a 9V second locomotive on the same track.
  3. These photos are for Murdoch17 and Lazarus, Thanks guys I really enjoyed building and Modding this great looking Train station. All Aboard! Pretty busy inside.........People in line for drinks and a salesman getting a ticket........ Everyone is waiting and relaxing for the next train............ I hope you all like my MOD, C & C welcome..........................my first train structure
  4. Murdoch17, I wanted to let you know ( thanks for your file ) that I've built your MOC. It really gives my layout a "Tropical look", so I'm building Palm trees and additional landscaping. I was told that this station looks very similar to an Amtrak one in Orlando, Florida. I hope to have time soon to post pictures here, thanks again to you, and the original author............. Lazarus.
  5. talos, That would be great........... I look forward to your final version and the possibility of you sharing this good looking building. ( I like to build only 2-story buildings, except in my city, Town Hall is the tallest! )
  6. talos, Such a beautiful looking building and interior, any chance of sharing your lxf. file? I'd be happy to 'donate' to your time.............
  7. Looks like to me Tennis Ball tubes.........
  8. garethiellis, Thank-you so much, after reading the post and downloading the software, I was able to figure everything out. I now have a new 'Saved Wanted list', for my next building project. This programming will save me lots of time, a few clicks and a new list is generated. Now I need more time for building..........
  9. How do you do that? I'm what is known as PC challenged in fact I just learned how to get a list of materials , sorry for the off topic question.
  10. These rims arrive in a 'White' color. I used paint just for "Plastic Patio Furniture", it sticks well and matches Lego Yellow, pretty good, as can be seen in the pictures. In real life and in the sun, you really can't tell the difference between the two. ( use light multi-coats of spray to avoid drips )
  11. Rail Co, I think this is a common problem with the older Mindstorms Cables, as almost all of my wires, 10 years or older are all 'falling apart' Fixing them as kieran said ""it won't be easy" ( I've tried ) I also agree with him, just purchase new ones, the newer ones are more reliable now.
  12. Jim, I saved the PDF at my BrickSafe folder, see here.............http://bricksafe.com/pages/ritztoys/Extended%20Boom%20BI I still have my MKII MISB yet, too many building projects.............
  13. M_longer, Beautiful truck  .............will you be releasing any kind of BI? My L580 needs a partner , can you help?
  14. Granted, both of those trucks are beautiful, I for one would build the Scania conventional nose, as you planned. This way you could develop your own unique trailer to go with your new truck. Looks like you'll need to invest in lots of Chrome when building either truck. The grill guard looks just like the one in the Racing Truck Set # 5563. I purchased two kits many years ago for the wheels and doors, that I used in Jennifer Clarks' Demag Crane. If we were closer, I'd sell you my 2nd one! ( that's now complete again ) The Scania would probably thunder when being driven................FOUR EXHAUST PIPES!!
  15. Any hints as to what the rest of the Scania looks like? The rear looks interesting, will the chassis be "low" as some show trucks are? Give us a real picture of what you're building, I've never seen any "Show Trucks" in the USA. ( just EU only )
  16. @Lundgren........That trailer looks great, good that you gave it some more length, it was too short before. ( although you could have made "doubles", with some more wheels and frame parts ) @Ingmar..............I'm sooo happy to see you're going to produce the 'Log Trailer', with your fantastic BI & parts list. I can see this trailer hooked up to my 'Desert Angel' truck. Also I've begun to gather parts for this trailer, now that my Lego work area is dry!
  17. sheo.............. I've looked over your BI and it appears that I answered my own question................( No ), it looks like the base needs to be completed first, correct? As your boom for this creation, the superstructure is really dense in parts, with no way to get to the vertical axle and its' parts coming out of the turntable. So..........my current choice will be to acquire all the needed parts to build this beautiful beast, and I don't mind waiting for the rest of the parts list and BI. Besides, you got me interested in trains.............
  18. sheo, thank-you so much for sharing.............. Fantastic BI, I look forward to building the superstructure. Can the superstructure be built before the base is completed? If your answer is "No", that's OK, it will take awhile to gather parts amongst all the other projects I'm building anyway.
  19. Thanks Ingmar, you are the only designer that supplies BI and a parts list to make it possible to build these fantastic MOCs. Yes there are other designers, ( who design in the Technic style and are very good ) but you're the only Model Team style of designer, that is constantly re-releasing early creations, we all have always admired and wanted to build. My building skills aren't good enough to completely design a Lego creation from scratch. (although I'm getting better) Maybe building in this style, I'll be able to come out with something brand new some day. About that show (in my future) I'm wanting to include as many Model Team Style models as possible to spark interest in building these creations. I may even sell all my Technic stuff , just so I can focus my collection in this style. The public gets excited when they see a truck and/or trailer being demonstrated, it just looks like the real thing they say! I just purchased BI for this trailer and have printed off the parts list. As always great BI, looking forward to building this. I want to start collecting parts today, but my refrigerator just died last night, got get a new one.
  20. Well Ingmar, looks like you did it again, you have designed a good looking new style of trailer MOC. I look forward to building this creation and adding it to my collection of your masterpieces, thanks for the BI too.
  21. Well of course I am............ did a mystery virus cause all these 'secret paint versions' to evolve from this great MOC. I think it's spreading............any more unknown builders suffering from this affliction? Builders show your stuff.............Lundgren & I aren't the only ones building these trucks, right? Come on you all, post some of your builds.
  22. Ooh my, that looks great! I wanted to do a hood decoration also as suggested by Tommy Styrvoky. I was wondering how to mount such an item, thanks for your pics,( # 87580 ), duu I knew that Keep on Brickn'............looking forward to your personal creation
  23. I'm really guessing here, but you should expect to budget anywhere from $ 0.00 USD to $ 3-400.00 USD. This amount is what you 'might' spend if you don't have any 'Model Team' style bricks & plates. The most expensive parts will be the PF items. The best part is Ingmars' original design of the colors he picked are very common parts and easy to find. ( you might surprise yourself as to how many parts you already have ) You won't be disappointed when you begin building............ take your time and enjoy the experience that Ingmar designs in all of his MOCs.
  24. Guys, I forgot to add, for those of us builders and lookers. Yes this truck is shorter than the original design, so your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. I removed the 1 x 4 tech brick from the chassis because I was unable to get Medium Blue in the 'hinge' brick., for the 'wind wings' at the sleeper cab. So I decided to make this creation real personal and needed to remove the same amount of length in the fuel tanks.
  25. Howdy Lundgren, I know, I know, it took forever to find some of these pieces. Plus I'm still remodeling my Kitchen...............building while paint dries! I thought about a Black frame, but I think that you loose detail, that's not easy to see. Those are "Mud Flap Girls", look ( search ) for them under 'earrings', still hard to find.
