  1. You've got to realize this is Lego Art at its' finest, kind of like getting instructions to paint the Mona Lisa. These MOCs that Ingmar creates will be collector items, as a piece of history was designed and displayed here for all to enjoy in the comfort of your home, this doesn't even include when you go to your LUG club and show these to your hometown members. I can already hear the 'Wows" now. So any price that a designer decides to charge is "priceless", because you won't find anything like this with BI anywhere on the Internet with such great detail.
  2. Blakbird you are my hero  , thank-you for being my picture mentor Ok guys, I've uploaded my 'additions' to this terrific MOC. The first photo we've all seen, the second shows my truck needed windshield wipers , the next photo shows were I added some flex tubing to continue the exhaust system. I didn't like the elbow ending in mid-air, so I continued the system into the side of the frame. In real life the exhaust goes around the frame, but this satisfies me on the appearance of such. The next two photos show the completed rig, with some additional chrome, with-in good taste, the more the better Here's my link, hope this works..............http://bricksafe.com/pages/ritztoys Thanks Blakbird everything worked out OK, I've got some uploading to do on all my projects. Now what to publish...................... ?
  3. I don't mind 'studded' aspects of an MOC, but this truck is so amazing in person and real looking, that I did some additions to add to the 'real' looks this model deserves. ( IMHO ) If the forum rules say that I can only upload 100k of info ( per day? ), then I'll post my pictures one per day. I have one more physical change ( addition ) that I did, again to improve the 'real' looks of this MOC. I'll wait until I upload more pictures to explain what I did, pictures can say a thousand words, so I won't "let the cat out of the bag" yet!
  4. I hate computers............I'm ol' school, so sometimes new stuff is hard to understand without a teacher. How do you guys upload such great pictures, without exceeding the file size? Does the file size refer to a total of 'uploaded' photos, or for a single file/picture? Do I have to wait a day and upload a different picture/file?
  5. I think I figured out how to upload the proper size file of pictures.................here goes! I added some tiles to 'clean up' the front bumper.
  6. I just completed building this fantastic MOC of yours and enjoyed every minute. I like to spread out the building process, so it lasts as long as possible. Don't get me wrong, I can build most MOCs and Lego kits quickly, but what fun is that in building in a hurry? I added a few personal details, it's almost like 'defacing' the Mona Lisa ............but away I wanted the improvement. I'll post pictures when I can figure it out.
  7. "I definitely recommend you get the instructions for this one, it's been a while since I built it, and when I rebuilt it using the instructions it surprised even me. There's some quite subtle techniques in the construction." As they say, "Master has spoken", yes I did purchase the BI, looking forward to checking these out and possibly rebuild one of the first Technic MOCs of yours I put together. Thank-you
  8. I have acquired all the needed parts and am ready to build this creation to match your truck. I know when my friends see the pair of your MOCs in person and I tell them they're IR controlled, I'm sure I'll see a bunch of 'jaws' hitting the floor. Thanks for sharing your fantastic MOCs.
  9. Hello Ingmar, Thanks for your reply, please never apologize for being late. (in this instance ) I know you must be an extremely busy man, designing, building, building, and then building some more! You have a large fan base and I'm, as well as others, are very thankful that we can enjoy your creations in our own homes. Looking at detailed pictures is great, but to be able to build those creations is Awesome!
  10. In my home those lists are made up of............chores, please assemble this for me, I'm sorry I broke this...can you fix this, or what did you do today? I try to duck any straight forward answers and come up with something she'll believe.............." A Happy Wife makes for a Happy Life"
  11. Hello All, My name is Stephen and I've been involved with Lego for over 30 or so years. My first big set was the first Technic Backhoe, with lots of bricks and plates. Construction equipment and Trucks are my favorites. For quite awhile that is all I built (bricks & plates), I built almost all of Jennifer Clarks' creations by "reverse engineering" then came Technic..............everything changed for me after that. I built the 8421XXL and it was off to the races after that, I couldn't put out the building fire that this kit started! Now I'm working with Han Crielaard and all his fantastic MOCs, such a great designer and truly a family man. I hope to build some MOCs of my own learning from this master of Lego Art someday. The best part is I'm retired now, except for the 'honey do lists', which I do quickly so that I can get back to building.
  12. Hello Jennifer, I wanted to thank-you for my inspiration from your models. You may or may not remember me from about 16-17 years ago where I "pestered" you often with questions about your models and of how various parts of them worked. Back in that day all I had was your excellent photos, that helped me to 'reverse engineer' your MOCs. I still have the Crane, Bobcat, Small Excavator, and your best the Large Excavator still assembled and proudly displayed on my MOC shelf. (I sometimes have to change the rubber bands in the hand control/compressor as these don't get used very often) I may purchase your instructions just to see how off my building was compared to the 'creator' of all these fantastic construction MOCs'. Do you plan to publish BI on your 'Roll-off Container Truck'? I built this the same way, except I was never able to figure out the cab for this truck. I did finish the chassis and all its' funtions, but got stopped trying to figure out the electrical connections and the that cab!
  13. Thank-you so much, I look forwrad to your pictures. You can bet I'll carefully study those and make changes!
  14. I've got a loose 8878 waiting for my next build, I'll use it in the Defender and see how that helps. After that I'll start checking the rubber bands, should I make the tension of the bands tighter? Should the rubber band on the motor driven shifter be looked at as well as the shifter that engages the various shifting rings (the parts that contains 1x2 half liftarms)? Sorry for all the questions, after assembling my Defender I was dissapointed that it didn't run like Sheepos' did on his video. It does look nice on the shelf, but I didn't want it to be a 'shelf queen' when I built it. A friend has a Defender90 and was very interested in building one, but I couldn't suggest for him to build until I solved my problems.
  15. Hello Ingmar, Just wanted to thank-you for releasing these BI for your MOC. I just finished building this great truck and just amazed at how real it looks. When I build a detailed MOC from great designers (as yourself), I take my time and build it like a large cross-word puzzle. I'll only work on them a few hours a day then I stop for a few days. I want the joy of building to last as long as possible! Part of the building joy comes from finding then purchasing all the parts needed for a build. I'll promise to keep building, if...............you keep releasing new BI for your MOCs.
  16. Thank-you Ralf for your reply. I'll give it a try with your suggestions. I built the transmission twice to be sure I had assembled it correctly. The battery/power supply, is this the kind that larger RC cars use? Can Lipo batteries be used with the correct voltage? (they give better power vs. weight)
  17. Can you share what you changed and or adjusted? My Defenders' transmission doesn't seem to shift very well, much less that those motors drive the model as Sheepos' video shows.
  18. I had the same problems, AT&T told me they 'blocked' his site from my use because they said of "security and spam problems with his ISP" I have since changed my ISP to a company that doesn't block his site. All is well now, I can reach Hans' site anytime! Check his website at the bottom of the Stone Trailer page to see an alternate to his color choice, in case you folks have plenty of these colors to use in his MOC.
  19. Hello Mr. Jurgen Krooshoop, I wanted to thank-you for all your hard work (but we all know you enjoyed making the mods to make this 8043 much better than Lego designed!) I'm a "excavator lover" and several years ago I studied all Jennifer Clarks' pictures and then gathered parts to build these fantastic machines. I still have them assembled (and will never take them apart!), I'll post pictures when I have built your "Ultimate 8043", with all my other excavators, dump trucks, and bulldozers. I'm beginning to run out of room to display my models, so I build to enjoy and of course play with, then some of the Lego models get dis-assembled and stored for a rainy days' build later. Thanks again from this 58 year old AFOL, I look forward to building your version soon (I purchased two, so I could build the "B" model also) Kindest Regards, Stephen
