Stone Trailer Truck
ritztoys replied to squizz's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I couldn't stand it, I hope Designer Han doesn't mind, here's my truck in alternate colors. I had too much DBG and Yellow and decided to use them on his MOC, what do you guys think? Btw this build was fantastic as all of Hans' creations, you won't be disappointed when you purchase BI. This turned out being the largest part count I've built.- 70 replies

Kronos see my post #28, I also used to get to Hans' site using AT & T , but sometime over the summer they 'blocked' his site. I have since changed to Verizon and have no problems now.- 70 replies

[MOC] Swingloader Mark Two
ritztoys replied to D3K's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hats off to D3K, I just finished building this MOC of yours, what a great build, enjoyed every minute of putting together. When I first tested all working functions, I had placed a PF extension into the cab area, this was rubbing on the small black gear in the bucket lifting transmission ( which I found out by default in checking all moving parts ) After moving said extension all was good and everything worked perfect. I hope you design more MOCs in this new year, I have a lot of winter to see yet. -
My plans for 2013-4 are; - Just finished Ingmars Truck & Trailer, beautiful combination together - " " Madocas' Suv MkI, great middle size Technic vehicle - " " D3ks' Swingloader, excellent MOC build, I hope he has more for 2014............ - " " Designer_Hans' new Stone Trailer Truck, will post pictures soon, waiting for good outside weather for photo shoot - wanting to build other construction equipment models, oh great I see sheo has released his new excavator, might have to put that on this years building list http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=91329 -still have 42009 in box, waiting for more time as I want to build the "Ultimate" version with possibility of extended boom, I've got the parts all saved for this MOC - any other complex or high piece count MOC posted here, got to keep building fingers in shape! - I hope to maybe design a Conventional front nose semi with PF, just a simple design to go with my other 'Man' Trucks, I have too many "flat nose" trucks in my collection - hoping to get an invitation to Brickworld Indy in March to display my MOCs...............

Thanks Jennifer, like I said, this is one of my favorites.................If you recall I was pestering you about how the support wheels were built into the deck of your Demag Crane to support the cranes' superstructure. I figured this issue out with your help, when you sent me close-up photos of the decks' surface. I gained enough clues as to how these wheel assemblies where put together as well as how these mounted to the deck structure. ( The Demag Crane MOC is in storage )

Hello Jennifer, I went to storage and got out my 'reverse engineering' of this fantastic MOC of yours. When you first released your creations, there was nothing like it on the Internet, so I set to studying your pictures on your website, because I had to try my hands at building this. I can't tell you how many times I would build a section, only to find it interfered with some function or ( later ) getting around the hoses or it wasn't the correct proportion in the upper body of the excavator. The next hurdle was building the hand-held remote. The first one I used the old style of 9v motor, it was OK, but the air pressure was a little weak and the movements were kind of slow. I rebuilt the compressor using the 'buggy motor' and now the pressure was almost too much, but the movements were better. Needless to say this MOC has always been my favorite, here is my excavator...................check out my Bricksafe pages for more photos........................http://bricksafe.com/pages/ritztoys

[MOC] Swingloader Mark Two
ritztoys replied to D3K's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for your reply. Sometimes I get in a hurry, ( that's a bad word in my type of building, I like to take my time to enjoy ) when I later realize I messed up . Tear-downs aren't awful by nature, but then it really makes you to pay attention and I usually enjoy it better because of the details in construction for all these features. -
[MOC] Swingloader Mark Two
ritztoys replied to D3K's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Gathering parts for this now, looking forward to building and using with my other construction equipment. This will go nicely with Designer Hans' models that I have. I tried using PF on 8265-1, but I didn't like the steering on that model and removed everything. Is there anything I should be made aware of causing maybe tear-downs to fix troubles. I've looked at the BI, ( these are very high quality and very clear ), the notes contained in them are great. I'm working on other MOCs now, hope to start after Christmas on this. -
Attachments for the Unimog 8110
ritztoys replied to Korni's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Some of my additions to this great model are available at............. http://bricksafe.com/pages/ritztoys/My%20additions%20and%20mods%20to%20the%20Unimog Feel free to ask questions, both bodies fit on the frame of the truck one Technic beam taller, this was done to allow room for the small cylinders for the tilt bed frame. -
Blakbird, I'll give it a go the next time I post. Just to be sure............I copy the URL from my browser when I'm on the right picture and picked the proper size photo, then I paste the URL in my post? It works great, thanks Blakbird.

Trophy Truck
ritztoys replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hello Sariel, Thanks for posting BI for the chassis of this MOC. I've had this RC unit for as many years since it was released, didn't care for the model, but the motors are great for power and speed. I'll be digging up that kit and put those parts to life. ........ ( btw just finished building your other truck with the CVT, very much fun to drive around. I made that "blue pin" a little tougher to turn, so my CVT comes into action when the truck really needs it. In the beginning that pin spun to easily and it was in the lower gear often. ) -
Howdy Ingmar, "Yes: windshield wipers are needed and you did a nice job on those. I would love to see them a little bigger." You realize that the 'rubber part of the wiper' is there.............you forgot about the most important thing about these MOC of yours.....Imagination. (They're there........ ) Feel free to add the exhaust extension, I used a 3L axle with stud to secure the flex tubing to the Chrome elbow, or 2 x 3/4 pins on both ends. Now I need to get back to building your Trailer MKII.............

You've got to realize this is Lego Art at its' finest, kind of like getting instructions to paint the Mona Lisa. These MOCs that Ingmar creates will be collector items, as a piece of history was designed and displayed here for all to enjoy in the comfort of your home, this doesn't even include when you go to your LUG club and show these to your hometown members. I can already hear the 'Wows" now. So any price that a designer decides to charge is "priceless", because you won't find anything like this with BI anywhere on the Internet with such great detail.

Blakbird you are my hero  , thank-you for being my picture mentor Ok guys, I've uploaded my 'additions' to this terrific MOC. The first photo we've all seen, the second shows my truck needed windshield wipers , the next photo shows were I added some flex tubing to continue the exhaust system. I didn't like the elbow ending in mid-air, so I continued the system into the side of the frame. In real life the exhaust goes around the frame, but this satisfies me on the appearance of such. The next two photos show the completed rig, with some additional chrome, with-in good taste, the more the better Here's my link, hope this works..............http://bricksafe.com/pages/ritztoys Thanks Blakbird everything worked out OK, I've got some uploading to do on all my projects. Now what to publish...................... ?

I don't mind 'studded' aspects of an MOC, but this truck is so amazing in person and real looking, that I did some additions to add to the 'real' looks this model deserves. ( IMHO ) If the forum rules say that I can only upload 100k of info ( per day? ), then I'll post my pictures one per day. I have one more physical change ( addition ) that I did, again to improve the 'real' looks of this MOC. I'll wait until I upload more pictures to explain what I did, pictures can say a thousand words, so I won't "let the cat out of the bag" yet!

I hate computers............I'm ol' school, so sometimes new stuff is hard to understand without a teacher. How do you guys upload such great pictures, without exceeding the file size? Does the file size refer to a total of 'uploaded' photos, or for a single file/picture? Do I have to wait a day and upload a different picture/file?

I think I figured out how to upload the proper size file of pictures.................here goes! I added some tiles to 'clean up' the front bumper.
