  1. Lundgren, Is there room to extend the exhaust with Black flexible hose from the bottom elbow? Even if this part 'goes nowhere', it will look better than having nothing on the elbow. I'm hoping to just extend mine forward to help the truck look better from all angles. ( even if this part doesn't make it to the engine )
  2. Hey Guys An update..........I've spent two days on BL finding all the parts I need for my ' painted ' version of this beautiful truck. The color I picked has some extremely rare parts involved, one of these parts wasn't anywhere on this planet , until I did some searches on BrickOwl and found one seller who had this color. ( In the beginning they wouldn't sell to the USA, then I begged them, they changed their mind for me ) I'm going to save the Red version to be assembled after I've finished my house remodel. My 'secret' color version I'll build during lapses in construction, of course I'll post pictures when I start building the body color, I will say I'll have a Red frame with this MOC. I think Ingmar will be really happy on its' looks when completed. ( I know I'm excited to build in this new color, it will look soooo good, I promise )
  3. I didn't recognize the trailer, until now, you will end up having a fantastic looking truck and trailer to display in your home if you keep this up. It seems we're a little similar in life's' pursuits, some of my other activities ( was ) Hang Gliding strapped on top of my Toyota Land Cruiser, as well as formally owning a 500cc Honda Trail Bike. The glider is still with me stored on the ceiling in my garage. ( A conventional type, 32' wingspan x 4' wings, 12' long to rudder, 60lbs. heavy ) Unfortunately I only have one picture of me flying, but I don't know how to get it into this laptop to send to people. Now my 'other' hobbies consist of R/C Helicopters ( for over 11 years ) along with boating and fishing at my Lake house, I have waaaay too many activities, but it keeps the mind sharp.
  4. I thought so, after seeing the painted bricks in the background. My work area is very similar..........in the basement with the laundry machines and the mechanicals for the house in the other half. I'm in the process of remodeling my house where the laundry machines will move upstairs and then I get lots of new space to fill with Lego pieces. The new Lego pieces I have for Ingmars' 2nd truck, which you are presently building, are ' screaming ' at me too. ( I'm jealous, yours looks great ) I can't start this MOC until I get at least one of the three rooms I'm working on finished. During my breaks in the construction process, I'm gathering parts for my "painted version "of this beautiful truck, the colors are a secret, but I'll post pictures in Ingmars' blog, when I start building.
  5. You have a great working area .......is this in your house or is this in your Man Cave?
  6. I really enjoyed the build of your loader. Now your working on BI for your Dump Truck, ( OMG ) count me in. I've always wanted an 'Long-nose Dump Truck' for my Construction Equipment Collection.
  7. Hey Lundgren, lookin' good. I guess it was raining there for you , or was it you couldn't stand looking at all those parts, needing to be assembled?
  8. Yes, you will be a happy builder. Don't rush it, Ingmars' creations are meant to be enjoyed, every block and plate. You will probably finish your truck before mine............I'm rewarding myself with this build after I remodel some rooms in my house, (kitchen, mudroom/back kitchen, bathroom) which I just started this past weekend. I'm hoping to build this truck in different colors this fall.
  9. You Lucky Builder! I have one more BL order of 8 pieces and I'm there, ready to build also. This is such a beautiful looking truck, as is T2 MkII,
  10. Here's the Bricklink # for those " railings ", 75c12, that I used. I don't know how many are needed on this MOC, but I can give you a good guess of how many I used................12 of these lengths. I had to join eight of them to make up the rear railings on both sides. ( I also used 2mm plastic rod inserted into two pieces of this tubing to make complete lengths ) It will help your fingers to gently use a 'hair dryer', to soften the plastic tubing.
  11. I hope Ingmar won't mind me answering this OT question........... The Brickworld Chicago Show will be held during June 14-15, 2014 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Schaumburg, Illinois. Times: Saturday June 14, 2014........10:00 to 4:00pm Sunday June 15, 2014..........10:00 to 3:00pm EDIT: Show times
  12. Sorry a little off topic, but now you've gone and done it. I have to invest in a Lego Train to go with this beautiful Train Station, which I might have to build. Excellent work........a gorgeous model. Will you furnish BI for this new creation?
  13. Yes Sir, I've already ' signed up ' for next years show in Indy, and am seriously thinking of going to Chicago in June for their show. Right now I'm inspecting all models I used to demonstrate and get some more experience in backing up your truck to the trailer. It's harder than you would think, I can back down a boat and trailer with my personal vehicle on a boat launching ramp very well, but when I have to look at your truck, instead of being inside a vehicle, I can't do it very well. Just give me some mirrors and I'll be fine. If I do go to Chicago................I will display both of your trucks.
  14. Pat...........mines' still good, but now all us Lego builders have an improved version that appears to operate well under reduced voltage based on the load used. ( The designer used much more load than I used )
  15. Lundgren when I saw your photo it made me LOL , as I'm working off those same printed-off pieces of paper. I'm getting there too in acquiring all the parts.
  16. You can't beat............for free! I just offered this seller 300 USD off of ebay, he took my offer. Originally posted for 700 USD. This is what I got: Power Puller w/box Racing Truck ( white one ) w/box Cargo Railway w/all parts and transformer Tons of red bricks and Technic Tons of black bricks and Technic Tons of white parts Tons of Lt Gray parts Lots of Base-plates with designs and plain A few boat hulls I think I scored don't you think?
  17. How about one good picture with the L580 and your great first truck & trailer " up front " These MOCs were favorites, if thinking about building these, don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed.
  18. What a fantastic build, I look sooo forward to the rest of this great model and how you're going to show more of your amazing skills in making this creation. Besides the out side looking so good, the inside of this boom is quite packed, no room left over for anything! Yes, I really like the color scheme, good pick for this type of machinery, which is usually very boring or dull in real life. Please, no apologies are needed, we're all Lego builders and always ready to start another creation, especially when new parts that were needed are delivered in the post. I had a friend at the show that immediately recognized the boom and the machinery that it is attached too, his company has one in their rock quarry, Take your time on those ' instructions ' , I'm very happy to wait as I have way too much Lt Gray in my inventory, waiting for this. My only issue was I didn't have the correct software ( I think ) to easily figure out the parts list, as you can see I succeeded, however I wrote the part #, its' quantity and color out on paper ' longhand '. I didn't want to miss a single part.
  19. efferman, Those fender mud guards are looking better and better. The first one looks the best, but with some MOCs that have suspension, maybe the second one will be better for wheel clearance when turning and going over a bump. I'd have to try it out in a mock up of my typical suspension ( ie. turning and going over bump ). Do get well and relax, it'll help you heal faster, we'll all be waiting for your healthy return.
  20. afol1969, thanks for your reply. I'll keep watching your posts to see what this MOC is all about.
  21. Hey efferman, Those ' mud guard ' pieces look great, additional holes as everyone has suggested. Could you design Mud Guards for single wheel width and double wide wheel width? ( 62 x 20 size tires )
  22. Hey afol1969, Sorry a little off topic, but what is this " Ultimate Unimog " ? btw I've finished both of these great looking SUVs, used them to demonstrate Lego PF in last weekends Brickworld Indy.
  23. Check out my Bricksafe site. There are two folders, one of all the people and displays, the other is my display at the show. Here's a link....................I hope!...............http://bricksafe.com/pages/ritztoys.... ( First time I did this correctly! )
  24. For those builders thinking about this beacon, it will work very well with good voltage supply. I used mine in demonstrations with D3Ks' loader, when the voltage started getting low the beacon will flicker a little strange, but still putting out light. With reduced voltage going on in your BB, you'll find using two functions will completely turn off the beacon. I was sitting still using two bucket functions, ( I didn't mind ) but when I stopped that and started using the XL motor to drive, the beacon came back on flashing properly. Maybe a new style of motherboard that will operate under reduced power supply could be designed? ( wink, wink, ) Thanks again for this design, it got everyone's' attention when I operated my loader.
  25. Fellow Sci-Fi builders, Saw this at Brickworld Indy this past weekend, beautiful MOC, took two guys to move! and from the other end, simply gorgeous..............
