Lundgren's Creations
ritztoys replied to Lundgren's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Howdy lundgren, Here's some photos just for you...................... Those were very hard to find in that size................... -
Fellow Builders may I present my version of this fantastic truck. The original author Ingmar Spijkhoven aka..... 2LegoOrNot2Lego just released BI for this. A few months back Ingmar emailed me with his idea of alternate colors, he showed me four color choices, I liked the Yellow best, I fell in love again with this truck. I decided to "repaint" this creation in colors representing the American Southwest. As you will see, I picked Tan, Brown, & Medium Blue. At the time of my color choice I didn't realize how rare these colors are in certain positions on the model. The #6091 in Brown surprised me of its' rarity, but the #6060 in Tan was not available anywhere! So after a few weeks I finally found a vendor in Germany. ( his store policy didn't ship to US ) I was devastated, so I begged him through many emails and he then agreed to ship to me. The secret paint version was now a solid choice. I built both his original color and my color together to make sure I had all the parts for my secret paint version. I changed the interior colors opposite of Ingmars' original design ie. Dk Blue Gray with Tan highlights. I also added some additional Chrome pieces to the model to look even more realistic, as it already is! I also found out those Chrome antennas were rare too. I guess this is what the Tech Guys were pointing at................ ( This is for you Lundgren )

Howdy Fellow Builders When I saw this posting, I jumped for joy, I couldn't believe that this fantastic creation by Jennifer Clark will now have BI. I reverse engineered this model years ago, I think its' been in the 'box' for eleven years May I present mine ( not completely finished )....................... As you can see I almost finished ( I'll need to clean off the dust too ) except the boom actuator for 'crowding' and the boom lift, now with new inspiration I'll finish this someday soon.

I do find that you have designed easy to find parts for all areas of each of your trucks  , this makes it easy to find out you already have the needed parts to build these creations. For me ( secret paint version ) , the parts can become very rare because of the color needed in a certain position on the model, I don't mind..............finding the parts where ever on this planet, is part of the fun in building these fantastic trucks. I do understand the time it takes for "small orders", especially when it's a business. but sometimes I just don't have any need for extra parts. Of course if these "extra parts" are needed to build one of your trucks, I'll always buy more just so I can build your next MOC. Any hints on what that might be? ( could the next truck be from your blogspot photos? )

@ 2LegoOrNot2Lego...................BTW, what engine parts did you need to order in Spain? Didn't they have those in the US? I needed one of the modified plates that holds the tubing/hoses in place, also needed more 2 x 4 tiles in my ' paint version '. Both models are building just fine, I don't think I've forgotten any pieces that are part of the new paint job. ( I had twice finding a brick or plate in the wrong color for its' position on the model. ) Not always can you purchase from BL vendors what you need because of minimum order money totals , so I search the world for whats needed at a vendor that has no order minimums .

Lundgren's Creations
ritztoys replied to Lundgren's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I know exactly how you feel, I just finished painting my new kitchen. New cabinets are next, then I'm changing a former ' dry pantry ' to a 1/2 bathroom, of course building in-between all this construction. Of course that ' could be ' known of the two of four colors............. -
OK, one more.................well at least we all know two of the colors on this truck............

Lundgren once again, you are a lucky man. Now the last part shipment, you said the parts were screaming to be built. With this many parts the noise must be deafeningly loud I'm waiting on some engine parts for one of my frames. When those items arrive, I'll be posting some 'early/before' pictures of both of my new trucks under construction. I'm building in-between working on my house and yes it is getting closer to being done, hooray..........

Jullian_pdx here ya go fellow builder, BI & Parts...............http://bricksafe.com/pages/ritztoys/Extended%20Boom%20BI Mine is still awaiting assembly, weather is warming up, time for outside activities too -
Fellow Builders, I am continually amazed as I build this truck. The interior is so complete, Ingmar even provided the correct 'headliner' color in the plate choices under the roof. The doors are another fantastic design, that I'm sure took quite a bit of messing with to get everything correct looking, just like a real interior should be. Those seats............heck yes, they look comfy. To any one considering building this truck, or any other truck Ingmar designs...............Just Do It,.....purchase BI, you will not be disappointed in any area of his designs.

@ 2LegoOrNot2Lego..You know when I retired.........., I thought I would have plenty of spare time, well quite the contrary, I'm more busy now that I'm not working 9 to 5. I always leave time to build your creations. Also today I received some extremely rare parts from Germany, if you can find them anywhere on this planet. The "secret paint version" is assembling very well, almost all parts are here now. @ spongebrickpl You have built a very nice truck, you should open your own posting on this, and let more people see your talents.

That last paragraph you wrote about................does this mean that a new style of truck will come from you in the future? ( Can we say " mud ", like in Dump Truck  )

Hey Guys, A break in the construction process on my home, time for some building. I'm building both the Red Version and my "secret paint version" at the same time, switching back and forth on the different colors kind of makes you nuts I will put up a photo when both frames are completed in a way that is unique to Big Rigs being delivered here in the USA. Stay Tuned!

That hood ornament looks good, too bad Lego doesn't have one of a 'Flying Lady w/Wings', as old trucks in the USA have on some rigs. I've got one from who knows when or where..............saving it for that special vehicle.

Lundgren's Creations
ritztoys replied to Lundgren's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks Lundgren, As I haven't built mine yet, just checking with you if this was possible, and it looks great. It seems we're the only three building this truck. I know that the third builder lives right here in my city, but I didn't get his name. ( He and I discussed the building of this truck at the Lego Show in March )
