Thank-you all for your comments, I'll do better next time. @ KlodsBrik Thank-you, I know I couldn't make it very 'roomy' and include all the details too. @ PaddyBricksplitter Thank-you @ Mestari Thank-you, with a small second story area I figured the bedroom to be a relaxing place too. @ Brick Capone Thank-you @ Kristel Thank-you very much, your designs are just beautiful and this had to have an interior to match. I struggled on which floor to put the bathroom, might change in the future.

Fellow builders my latest MOC, now I can't take all the credit for this building as the original exterior was designed by EB member Kristal, I've just created the interior as suggested by another EB member. (the rock miners drill was just too large, I decided on this assembly of parts to represent an Ice Cream cone) Inside first floor Second floor apartment, Kitchen and Bathroom with shower Third floor of apartment, Bedroom and reading area I hope you all like what I've done, it was great fun creating the inside, as always c + c are welcome.

I recently displayed at Greenfield Brick Expo, showing off my favorite builds...... I took this with my cell phone, better pictures next time. Ingmar, your trucks stole the show!

I recently displayed at the Greenfield Brick Expo and properly located the Court House as it should be, in the center of Palm City. I have two more sides to fill in with more buildings to complete the square.
-
I just recently participated with a display at the Greenfield Brick Expo earlier this month and properly landscaped this fire station, additional photos at my Bricksafe.

@ FishHead Thank-you, I'm always working to keep as much detail as possible and still look good for this size. Yes I love those trees too, same wish @ TimH Thank-you @ fandomfilms Thanks, some people use the friction pins to join all their modular creations together, when it comes to separating floors, some folks use additional 1x plates under the second story floor to push against the first story walls along with the 1x4 plates with two studs. This in turn holds the floors together (kind of). Some folks use the friction pins between floors for a more secure hold. When I display at shows, sometimes the public wants to see inside, therefore you should make this connection easy to remove for viewing inside. In your case, with a hinged door, inside views will be very easy to display.

[GBC] Cardan Lift
ritztoys replied to torso's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This MOC is fantastic to watch! I was so hypnotized seeing it run, I had to build one to actually understand its' mechanics. I was given permission to rebuild this creation for our club, IndyLug and will be showing this to the public in a couple of weeks in Bloomington, IN. USA (thanks again) Just a marvelous invention! Yes, it's very reliable, I dropped more balls than the machine. (it didn't drop any) -
I love all your New York inspired buildings, currently building the "Cast Iron" building now. I'll be in that line to purchase BI from your BL store. Beautiful designs, I'll figure out some kind of interior to match this great outside.

Your buckets look very good, please put one on reserve for me as I'm over across the pond. My Mom said, " Good things come to those who wait ", I'm willing to do that, just too damn excited to see a bucket with the correct proportions for our favorite Lego kit. I'm sure the EB members here will purchase these, to make all your hard work worth it, and it's a win-win for everybody. Great work!

Ingmar............You've done it again, producing a beautiful looking ( like the truck it matches ) and accurate looking trailer, like the ones I see everyday on highways in the USA. Great job my friend. This will be in my fleet for Brickworld Indy 2016

Hey Scott..........I'm married there too Please by all means keep us 9V lovers informed. I for one would welcome any larger radius and apposing switches that would match-up to the regular rails, count me in to buy some.

I really appreciate the comments folks........ @ medib - thank-you @ PastVPresent - I had a lot of the Dark Red and decided, " Why not? " @ lightningtiger - thank-you, I worked a lot on how this 'looked', and kept at it. ( something similar to how you build ) @ TheLegoPerson9 - thank-you @ Legotom - thank-you, I had that boat in my stuff for years, finally found a good use for it @ Kristel - thank-you, I can't tell you how many times I changed the "footprint" of the structure, because of the roof pieces. Then of course I changed the rooms to also accommodate the roof pieces keeping in mind the overall look, basically rebuilt this many, many times. Then I discovered I only had a 10 brick opening and had to keep my Ladder Fire truck 'short' to be able to get through the doors.

8258 Stickers Wanted
ritztoys replied to PorscheQuattro21's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Koen, I think you need 10 posts to be able to send PM to other members, with that in mind, keep posting where you can in topics you enjoy. I'll send my info to you via PM system, when you can receive messages. (I promise) -
@ timmyr1983............Thank-you, single sided Town Hall just didn't work for me @ ecmo47.............Thank-you, the wife a I had a laughing spell when I added the skeletons @ lightningtiger.........Thank-you, from a Master Builder as yourself @ Doctor Doom.............Thank-you @ Lego Guy Bri...........Thank-you, all of my MOCs' have interiors, just adds life. @ pinioncorp............Thank-you, yes I have to agree on the Tiles, but I'm "Sticker Challenged", I would have preferred black letters, with the brick colors showing through. Tiles easier! @ dr_sarcophagus.............Thank-you, when I saw the Town Hall kits, it was an easy match for me to create this MOC, from the local County seat building

8258 Stickers Wanted
ritztoys replied to PorscheQuattro21's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Koen, I still have an original sticker set, unused, in good to excellent shape. I don't apply stickers to my models. As you are a new member, you will need to respond here until EB allows you the PM feature. We can discuss how for you to get them from me -
Fellow builders..........my latest MOC. In the central United States some small towns have their Government buildings located in the center of town, where all the other businesses are built around the square containing the structure. This building forms my Lego town, Palm City, located in Palm County. As this is central to my 9-Volt train layout ( which is currently stored ), I didn't landscape this yet. I will finish landscaping when I have a few more buildings made for my town 'square'. Here is the inspiration for this build You can see in the background the surrounding town. I combined two Town Hall kits plus about a dozen BL orders, I have included details of a typical Court House. Beginning with the top floor, the Mayors Office As you can see from the floor mosaic, it's no secret that it's expensive to live in Palm County, as a new business owner 'tips' the mayor. Now we all know some politicians have a 'cloudy past', this mayor is no exception, check out his closet The Mayor isn't aware of his 'cloudy past' stepping all over his 'tips' as they leave his closet The Second floor is where the Mayors' and Judges' Secretary has her office with a waiting area complete with a water cooler and a coffee maker Here we see the custodian making tracks to his favorite sitting area with a cup of coffee and newspaper ready for him to enjoy The first floor has the Court and County Clerks' offices as well as a holding Cell, complete with Sheriffs and a Swat Officer for the prisoner Of course everyone needs a restroom stop sometime during the day Finally the Palm County Court Room, which is currently in session, is very crowded today I hope you have enjoyed my creation, it was a blast to create this for my future City. More details and photos @ my links If you like this, see one of the many houses I'll use in Palm City, http://bricksafe.com/files/ritztoys/Brickworld%20Indy%202015/20150314_091507.jpg

I second the motion! I'll be watching with great interest, as I want to incorporate this type of control to my 9volt layout.

@grum64.........thanks for starting and sharing this post. Your photo progress is very helpful and inspiring, that anyone, as yourself can overcome any obstacle to enjoy building these plastic beams/bricks. I will refer to this when I start building my Ultimate 42009, I've had the parts ready for over a year! -
Advice on displaying a layout at a local train show
ritztoys replied to ecmo47's topic in LEGO Train Tech
@ecmo47.............thanks for your reply, to answer your question........... The Brickworld Host sends out invitations to various folks to display, until the floor space is filled, about 35,000 sq.ft. of building. This year is a little different, all the displays are from individual members of our local club, IndyLug. ( no outside folks invited this year, we all filled the building! ) Now here is the good part........... during the show the displays are judged and are given a score for our efforts. This score will determine how much is paid out to each display after all bills have been paid..............I just love getting paid to play/display my Lego.
