  1. No, Thank-you for creating these fantastic models. To begin with, I just "repainted" them, these creations are kind of like polishing a great Diamond, it just came out even better! I thought about the 'wood load', and am searching around for something light, that looks good. Maybe a load of Bamboo 'trees',( they're hollow ) I'll come up with something before I demonstrate this fantastic MOC at my display @ Brickworld Indy next March. Looking forward to new creations from you in 2015!
  2. Thanks Ingmar...........As you know, building this truck was a personal passion of mine, such a great design. The finished model needed to "Pop" ( as it does already, the trailer just puts the whole combination over the top! ), as I will be demonstrating this MOC in my display next March, so it had to look real special.
  3. Thanks everyone...............yes I know the toilet door needed improvement, working on that. I love my wife = is very tolerant, she supports my brick habit! Yes my memories of living in the "Pacific", never cold! Hopefully will be able to recreate that "Pacific" feeling again in my next house
  4. Thanks Guys & Gals I really appreciate the comments and constructive feedback, watching all the great builders and their MOCs here on EB forums, just helps me advance my building skills, by observing all the great creations. I'm not there yet, but detail for me is what this creation needed to keep up with the other designers here. ( besides I really enjoyed building this ) @ AFOLguy1970 Thanks for the compliment, Palms design is by a EB member............ Mike S, I plan for all my houses to have Palms, as I used to live in the Tropical climates. @ Kristel Thanks for the compliment, detail is what can make these types of builds really special, as your MOCs' display this quality very well. ( I might borrow some of your ideas in the next build I do ) I might move the piano downstairs next to the loo door and use one of your chair creations upstairs. @ Captain Braunsfeld Thanks so much, I've got a lot of building experience in Model Team and Technic, but this is my first adventure in Modular building, I love it and can't stop smashing bricks together! @ deraven Thanks for the links on the doors and frames. White door is on its' way and I had a Dk-bley door frame in my supplies, installed!
  5. Thanks guys, @ lightningtiger Yes, I know it wasn't quite right, but current supplies made me do it! @ daraven That's a great idea.............could you link the part please? I know about the piano, only so much room, besides if I could live there and I'd really have it in my bedroom!
  6. Fellow Builders, May I present my first effort at a modular building. This House was inspired by this designer http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=6083556 I tried reaching this person, but didn't get a response. So I set out trying to recreate this really attractive house for my "subdivision" part of my Lego city layout. Here are the results.............C & C Welcome Front View Side View Other Side View Back Side 1st Story Floor Plan "Gotta have a bathroom/toilet" 2nd Story Floor Plan I had great fun building this house, I'm planning on more! edit: My second house can be found here, enjoy.............http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=104607
  7. Fellow Builders................My truck finally got a Trailer, thanks Ingmar for another fantastic build..............enjoy the photos  Looking forward to your next creation Ingmar!
  8. Fellow Builders..............I finally finished my Log Trailer. Thank-you Ingmar for another very satisfying build once again. Enjoy the photos! You can never go wrong purchasing these great MOC's Building Instructions, every Truck/Trailer that Ingmar designs are just plain awesome.
  9. As Lundgren and other builders said, " It's about time". No really, we builders know how much work goes into these creations and we're all very happy with the fact we can build and enjoy these fantastic models in our own homes. I for one of those builders, is very excited to see that your " Mack " Truck is being made ready for BI. I have compiled most of the parts for the suspension and have saved for several years those White rims for the wheels. ( I love using those saved parts for incredible creations such as these ) OK, enough of the truck ....................I'm looking forward to adding your Lowboy Trailer to my Trucking Fleet, I hope to be able to display it with your other creations in my display @ Brickworld Indy in March 2015. ( So far the assembled count is 3 Trucks and currently 2 Trailers! ) Thanks for all your hard work.............
  10. Guys thanks............. @ GallardoLU, well not really, I'm too busy building to watch TV, and I just build for the kids anyway.........in the beginning I struggled with the proportions. The bucket and dipper where what I scaled this model to, then there were the tires, but it all worked out OK. @ imvanya, I appreciate your complement coming from a great designer as yourself......I forgot to add the operator is sitting on a 2 x 2 turntable, so he can turn around and operate the dipper at the work site. ( needed to use two 'jumper' plates for clearance ) @ lightningtiger, had these ol' parts around for ever, when I saw the ROP cage from another kit, I knew what my layout was missing and got busy @ King Aragorn, I found the dipper bucket in my stash of black pieces, and knew what I had to do
  11. Fellow Builders, This is what happens after a couple of cups of coffee and combined that with some classic parts, you get a Backhoe.................enjoy That's my story and I'm sticking to it..............
  12. Here's your truck in 'real bricks'.............. imvanya as you know you always can't build with the correct parts, because I just used them on another creation of yours. So the front end of your 4 x 4 is a little different from your design, but it came out looking good. Now those wheels/tires, I struggled with this as I really didn't have the correct size for the vehicle. In the beginning they didn't look right. Also I took out the door and used a panel on top of a brick replacing the door, so to 'up' it's position on the body. The truck cab looked too tall as originally designed, sorry Now the truck looks much better especially when you have more equipment working around it............ This is what happens after a couple of cups of coffee and some old classic parts come together I had laying around.................my MOC of a Backhoe in Minifig scale.........
  13. As I promised more of your creations in 'brick'................... We both realize that not every brick is available in your design criteria, but even the wrong 'color' brick looks good. ( ie. White headlights ) As I mentioned before, these are great fun to build and bring to life, adds lots of vehicle variety to a city layout.
  14. Those pictures are great! :wub_drool: each creation deserves the 'Love Drool' I built your loader last year..............in its' own case, I hate dusting I agree with your last statement, " no time for building all the things I'd like to ", I do try to build/sort daily though!
  15. Well, you've done it again.............designed a new and great looking vehicle for all our city layouts. Luckily for me my bits and pieces arrived from BL ............ "get me another cup of coffee"....... I've got some building to do I'll post pictures later today..........
  16. You're a Saint, ( Lego Saint that is ) thanks so much for your links. I see plenty of vehicles to build and add to my city. My design talents are next to null, these are sooo good, you should work for TLG! I'm currently waiting for various brackets and some cosmetic parts to finish two more of your cars. Now look what you've done................ I need more parts for the others I want to build from your Flickr gallery. ( thanks for posting btw. ) I'll post pictures of the next two vehicles, when those parts arrive..................
  17. imvanya...............Do you have lxf files of all those creations on your Flickr gallery? There are some really great looking vehicles on there I'd love to build.
  18. EROL, Thanks for your links and suggestions ...................now I need a bunch of those old tires, I've got everything else..............
  19. EROL, Your mods and creations are great, those trucks look so much better than Lego intended. Can you share which wheels ( I think I know, but just checking ) and tires you used on these MOCs? I have a bunch of those 'sprung' wheel assemblies and have been needing a use for them, now I have one!
  20. Thanks for your reply, I'm off to BL now
  21. That did the trick! Everything downloaded just fine, although LDD took a little extra time to generate the building guide. Are these parts found in the basic kit or should I use the LDD Manager and upload a 'wanted list'? I hope to add this to my City scene and create a construction section near my train layout along with your City D11 Bulldozer.
  22. efferman, Your lxf files aren't working, I've downloaded via the link and I find it blank..............
  23. Your creations are pretty darn stout, unless they hit the floor, they stay together very well. I got enough parts to build ( I think ) two more of your creations, yes, I'll be happy to post pictures of those future cars when I have completed them. i found the Minifig "skates" very expensive, but I did purchase a pair for one of your cars, don't know which car will get these "exhaust pipes", lots of choices in your design collection. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=11253 These are great fun to build and bring to life.
  24. As I promised, pictures and some happy Guys.................. Keep 'em coming, I'll keep building.................
  25. You can count on me to post pictures of your creations in 'brick form'. I was able to build two of them with parts I already had in my MOC inventory, although I lacked the 1x2 curved slopes in completely finishing those two cars. Bricklink to the rescue, parts will arrive in a day or two. I noticed in some of your 'city cars', they use a "bracket" to be the car chassis, very clever. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=4732 I need to stock up on some of the wheel attachment bricks to chassis, I've used mine all up. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=4488 I've really enjoyed the building results, and the clever use of some common parts, used in entirely different way. If you keep 'designing', I'll promise to keep 'building'. The interesting thing I've noticed is, TLG can't even come close to match these beauties you have designed, keep up your great work.
