  1. 2LegoOrNot2Lego and M_longer, The creations that you guys have made are just stunning in pictures, but to be able to build them in your home............."Priceless" I for one enjoy building and collecting Truck/Construction Equipment, when they look real........... even better! Yes, you're right, I'll be proudly displaying and operating these great creations for the public at Brickworld Indy this year.................ahhhh in a couple of weeks It all started when Jennifer Clark released her MOCs, because of her "real look" models I began building in our favorites, bricks and plates. ( Those models will be at the show too )
  2. I'll need your e-mail address to send this to you
  3. Blakbird and Eric Albrecht, You guys along with M_longer have released one of the best models built in Model Team style, IMHO. I usually build in technic style, but this takes me back to when I started building many years ago. I never thought building with bricks and plates could look so good, and it's PF controlled! If you gentlemen bring back an older MOC that looks this good, count me in on building that too. This model will go along very well with my models of Jennifer Clarks' and Han Crielaard creations, in fact they will all be displayed and demonstrated in this years show, Brickworld Indy in early March. Thank-you very much for bringing these to the public, so everyone can build one.
  4. Zmei_gorini4, Just wanted to thank-you for your Beacon Light. I've added the PF wire to the circuit board and applied the included heat shrink to protect the electronics and prevent the wires from accidentally being pulled out of their connection. I've attached a photo of how I mounted it in my model of D3Ks' Swing-Loader: This photo shows where I mounted the motherboard, using "servo tape", holds real well and can't really see it, unless you turn the loader upside down Kind of neat getting a package from Russia too............
  5. Fellow Builders, Here's a photo of what I was talking about in my earlier posts............. I hope this helps all, you can see where the wires pass through my suggested space. Keep in mind to keep the wires away from the bucket gear-train. I've built a model in a similar situation and didn't pay any attention how close wires were near a gear-train and when the model was finished, heard the click, click, click of wires rubbing on gears.
  6. The picture you provided is a big help as I said earlier. One thing I noticed is the routing of the "headlights" end of the LED. The wires go through an area ( on my model per instructions ) that is completely closed off because of two 1 x 4 plates on top of a 1 x 4 tech brick that has the bucket gear train in the center hole. This can't be changed, but eliminating one of the 1 x 4 plates with a 1 x 2 plate 'centered', will provide just enough space for the LED wiring to pass through the chassis as you have done on your model. This suggested change is on Page 19 sub-step 22. This is where the 1 x 2 should be placed instead of the two 1 x 4 plates. The tech bricks will still have support for the whole structure, with a hole on either side of this area for wires. Well, here I go again tearing down, only to enjoy putting it back together. But this time the wires are almost hidden.................a good thing. Using the created space..........my suggestion would be to install the PF LED light wires during Page 18 Sub step 20, placing the wires between this assembly and the top of the 'M' motor. btw..........the M motor in the main chassis is a real "bear" to install, without talking to yourself! EDIT: suggested placement of wires
  7. Oh my, I wouldn't call it lazy. I think the better answer would be an excuse to 'leave assembled', because models like this should never be taken apart. I know sometimes that special part is in there somewhere, but can I wait instead of dis-assembling a great model? I'm going to assume that the space left over on the yellow frame where two black tech bricks have a space between them, is where I'll use for the 'anchor' brick of the LED lights. This area sets right next to the worm gear for steering and under the XL motor. The good thing about this spot, there is room for this 'anchor' to not rub on anything.
  8. M_longer, Thanks so much for posting your picture. You confirmed where I should route the PF wires from the front chassis. I hoping the 2 x 2 brick used to 'anchor' the PF LEDs wiring will fit either under the XL motor or next to it on one of the yellow frames that has a great space, left over for such a purpose? ( I need to avoid the worm gear used to steer this )
  9. That's a heck of a good idea, if my PF wire routing works out OK, I'll be happy to provide you fellow builders with some pictures. Give me a few days, I don't like rushing builds. Models like this as well as some other MOCs' that I have built, I like to enjoy and appreciate the ways some of the builders have picked their parts to achieve the desired function and or physical support for the structure as a whole.
  10. Thanks Blakbird, yes I saw the disclaimer. I was hoping to assemble this once, but as we see this is so good looking, who cares how many times I get to build this fantastic MOC I decided to route where I was asking about, although I don't know at this point will there be a place for the PF LED mounting brick? Will this brick 'disappear in the bodywork somewhere? I hope so, I might have to take this apart again.............
  11. Hey Fellow Builders, For those of us actually building this, I'm needing a few suggestions on where/how to route the PF wires. I noticed a small vertical space ( on each side ) amongst the DBG bricks, right below the upper u-joint. Is this where I would route the two sets of PF wires from the front? I don't want to proceed to much further, because of 'tearing down' some assemblies to route these wires towards the rear of the model. It becomes too much work later on to add these wires in a proper way, that they're almost hidden on their way to the battery. Any help would be appreciated.
  12. My oh my, sheo you are an brilliant designer. The BI that you have released are just amazing, the density of the parts used to get the shape or function you need, it humbles me greatly with the skills you have. The combination of pieces and at different angles, just leaves my mouth wide open. I am acquiring a few of the unique parts through BL, but have almost everything else from my parts to build these boom sections. I'm looking forward to the main body and the track base, keep up this terrific work.
  13. If Blakbird releases a render of these fantastic MOCs together, I'm going to have to wear a bib in order not to drool all over my laptop keyboard
  14. Count me in, I'll take one set. PM me when they arrive, thanks
  15. Guys, Brickworld is coming to Indianapolis, IN. USA in March 8 & 9, 2014; 10 to 6:00pm. Saturday, 10 to 5:00pm. Sunday. Located at the State Fairgrounds, come visit and enjoy the child in each of us! ( and all those displays )
  16. Send me your e-mail address via PM system, I'll send it to ya
  17. Hey Guys, Send me a PM with your e-mail address, I'll send you the instructions and parts list
  18. Blakbird.................You're a saint  thank-you for the parts list link. I'll relax now, because I'm counting out parts for this great MOC
  19. I've looked at the BI, can't wait to start..............my issue is I like to print-off the parts list. For some reason the only available list is the last page @ MOC Plans. Is there any off-site ( Rebrickable or other ) printable list I can go to?
  20. Just checked out your personal BI, cant' stand it, I'm gathering parts for this first section now...................
  21. I can't speak for other builders, but for me.............Awesome! That is very do-able from my building experience and can be followed pretty darn easily. I'll keep watch for when you publish a parts list, I like to gather everything before I start building a persons' MOC, especially one this fantastic! If no list is available, I'll start building immediately
  22. I like to take the liberty to thank you for the support, especially Ritztoys for 'testbuilding' Thanks Han, I will admit that I enjoyed every minute of building your new MOC. The rear trailer steering is a good example of your engineering in Lego, to get that special function you wanted for this model.
  23. Guys, If you want dual rear axles, just build Designer_Hans' Volvo Hauler. ( This 'B' model is just a smaller version of the Volvo equipment like Hans' MOC ) I would mod the B model to look much better than Lego did with it, like D3Ks' picture above. I especially like the new bucket, how many studs across is this new piece?
  24. Just finished building the MKII Trailer, what a great build, just as good as the Truck MKII. I got my first contract load............. The funny thing was...........The driver asked; "Where's Jurassic Park"?
