  1. Its possible the red hair in the build-a-minifig bins was actually made with the intent of having the printing added for the Poison Ivy minifig but never had that added and ended up in the build-a-minifig bins instead.
  2. Can anyone suggest any parts (legs, torsos, heads, hair/hats) that would work well for teenagers (not teenagers wearing school uniforms or sports uniforms or the like, just generic every-day clothes, whether they be cool kids trying to look cool, geeks trying to be geeky, music lovers or whatever else). The Series 16 Babysitter has a nice torso, head and hair that work for teenagers but there must be others out there.
  3. The pigtail hair from the Series 16 Babysitter is great (my favorite recently-introduced hairpiece) and I hope it shows up in more colors like Medium Dark Flesh, Dark Orange and Black (the Dark Tan from the Zombie Cheerleader and the Red/Blue from that DC set don't do it for me) The hair used on e.g. Raj in Big Bang Theory or Anakin Skywalker or Lloyd is also really cool.
  4. I am liking the jacket on Micheal Knight and will be adding the torso to my collection if I can (although I dont play the game or want the other parts in the set) Its weird we haven't heard a thing about the second Ghostbusters reboot pack yet. Maybe its been canceled because the movie only made $224.7m at the box office?
  5. I believe the sword that comes with the Desert Warrior is not a Sabre but is in fact a Scimitar. Even LEGO calls it a Scimitar, see http://brickset.com/parts/design-43887 :) Great review as usual (even though I already bought all my S16 :) Got a devil, a hiker, a wildlife photographer, a pirate, a dog show winner, 3 mariachis, a spy, a banana guy and 3 babysitters :) I wish the hair used for the babysitter was available in other useful colors (the dark tan and red/blue versions just dont do it for me) and I hope it appears in more colors in the future (black would be very nice to have although red-brown, dark orange and medium dark flesh would also be nice)
  6. FAR too large to ever be made into a set, even assuming Disney/Marvel and LEGO were interested in it.
  7. I suspect that Hammerhead Shark (and the similar Great White Shark by the same builder) will have the same issues as the large scale dinosaur projects. The images for his projects are clearly digital (if nothing else, the Great White depicts a diver with flippers in dark blue and goggles in yellow, neither of which exist in real brick) and I do wonder if he has even tried to build them in real life or knows if they are buildable/would hold together.
  8. The hull its using is one that can float I believe so yes the 60147 should be able to float.
  9. I see no reason why Marceline wont be available in other countries (especially in TRU stores in other countries)
  10. I for one will be buying the police station and the big police truck. The others I will reserve judgement on until pictures appear.
  11. Its been said on here before but there is no way any Spaceballs LEGO set can EVER happen. There was a deal done between the makers of Spaceballs and George Lucas/Lucasfilm. This deal basically said that Lucas will agree not to sue the makers of Spaceballs and in return the makers of Spaceballs agree never to produce (or license) ANY Spaceballs merchandise.
  12. I hope LEGO keeps releasing more police stations, they are always such good parts packs :)
  13. Go to https://wwwsecure.us.lego.com/en-us/service/replacementparts and click "buy bricks" and LEGO will sell you individual parts.
  14. And the best part is that the good stuff from Fun in the Park is available from Bricks & Pieces. Only parts not currently available (for Australia in any case) are the soccer ball, 2 x 2 red plate, 2 of the heads, the black hair piece, the dark blue female suit torso and the beanie. I bought a few of the parts in my most recent Bricks & Pieces order and am now wishing I had ordered more since there are a few I could potentially use multiples of (although if the finances and availability-at-retail line up I may just buy a second copy of the set to get a second copy of the good torsos and things that I didn't order from Bricks & Pieces :)
  15. Picked up the Fun in the Park set yesterday (now that its finally hit local retail) and its awesome. Great source of parts and a fun build too, lets all buy one so LEGO sees how popular it is and makes more of the same :) If I hadn't just used up the rest of my LEGO budget on Series 16 Minifigs (which also just hit local retail :) and a bunch of nice parts from Bricks & Pieces, I would be giving serious thought to buying a second Fun in the Park. Yes its THAT good :)
  16. Anyone in Brisbane area looking for Series 16 should hit up their local Mr Toys, I got all mine from there yesterday and paid $4 instead of the $5 RRP. Better than waiting for MYER or Toys R Us or someone to have a 20% off or b2g1 sale. I have also seen the S16CMFs at MYER if Mr Toys isn't an option :) The Banana Suit Guy and the Penguin Suit Guy seem to be the ones that are disappearing the fastest (although the Babysitter with the baby is also a hot item from what I have seen) Reports are that the local release of the big orange technic car has been delayed to October. If you want the City Fun in the Park minifig pack, there are reports that stock levels are very limited so you best grab it sooner rather than later. I got mine yesterday at MYER Garden City although I also saw it at MYER Brisbane CBD (it was sitting in a box waiting to be unpacked and I didn't have time to go find a staff member who could open the box and sell me one so I called Garden City later in the day and they found one in the back in a box somewhere and put it on hold for me to pick up :) The Bucket Wheel Excavator, the big log tractor and the Volvo digger are also now available in stores along with the Minecraft Fortress set. The Captain America Tanker Truck set (with Spider-Man in it) is now showing up in Toys R Us stores (they have the exclusive on the set and the big double-rotor Volcano Explorer helicopter) and the Ra's al Ghul set is now showing up at K-Mart (who have the exclusive on that item)
  17. Yes it is a Toyworld exclusive.
  18. If TLG can pull off the Coathanger (as us Aussies like to call the Sydney Harbor Bridge) in LEGO, count me in for the Sydney skyline set. Heck, I will probably consider it anyway just because its Aussie and one of the few LEGO sets that can be considered as such (I think the only other Aussie sets TLG have done are the 2 Opera House sets, both of which I own)
  19. I think that castle is about the right size/part count for one of the smaller Architecture sets so its not too small to make a good Ideas set IMO. It seems to slot in between the Farnsworth House and the Brandenburg Gate in terms of size and its a medieval castle so no-one would own any rights in the name or the look of the thing that LEGO would need to license (unlike some of the more modern structures TLG have produced in the Architecture line)
  20. BTW the Ecto 1 & 2 set is NOT exclusive to Toyworld (despite at least one rumor suggesting it was). I saw it at MYER the other day.
  21. LEGO is the biggest toy company in the world and close to the most popular toy company in history. They sell products at price points ranging from $5 to $500. Generations of kids have grown up playing with the little plastic bricks. And unlike Apple, a LEGO brick from 2016 is still compatible with a LEGO brick from 1966 and both will likely still be compatible with a LEGO brick from 2066. I dont see the LEGO brick and the LEGO company going away anytime soon. I own LEGO dating back to the 80s or even earlier and with the exception of parts that have been damaged to the point of being unusable (including some electrical cables where the insulation on the wires has perished) and my yellow RCX brick (which I cant get working with modern Windows versions), all of the bricks in my collection are just as uable now as the day they were made.
  22. Its always good to see sets where the bad guys are actually committing some sort of crime (and getting busted for it) rather than just police stations and bad guy hideouts
  23. If you dont have enough pneumatics, there is always Bricklink... Me, I have an 8431 Pneumatic Crane Truck, an 8437 Pneumatic Excavator AND an 8455 Backhoe Loader so I got more than enough pneumatics, I just dont have the time to build something for the contest :)
  24. We know LBM is getting a story pack. The other 2 packs could be a team pack and a fun pack or a pair of fun packs.
  25. Is there anything in the info we have so far to suggest that there will be a helicopter in any of the new 2017 sets?
