What followed Hannibal surmised was a heated argument, followed by a begrudged acquiescence from the green man. Smoothly and quietly the circular formation lifted to reveal a steep tunnel down. Callahan - "The Merchant Confederation would be honored to open negotiations with one of Octan's executives. I can open a policy guaranteeing your safety for the duration of your visit, with the Octan Corporation and any of your heirs as beneficiaries. You have nothing to fear from us." Hannibal - "I did come down here to explore... "Mercy Brandy, proceed onto your next drop. I'll activate my beacon whenever I'm ready for a pick up. Out." After a longer than expected argument with his assistant, Hannibal follows the green man down the tunnel, flanked by Callahan. Along the way, Hannibal prods for more information about the Merchant Confederacy. Callahan - "We're a loose organization not unlike your corporations. Out here there is little need for such a strictly structured organization, such as yours, and we do not benefit from affiliation with any government. We've developed over time out of a mutual understanding between merchants, their markets, and their customers. We are hopeful to develop such an understanding with Octan, as well." Hannibal - "Without government affiliation, how did you acquire the technology to make the jump through the Gate?" Callahan - "Mr. Hannibal, we didn't come through the Gate. My people have been here for thousands of years. Subjugated as slaves to alien overlords. Experimented on, mutated, engineered. I may look familiar to you, and we are of the same species, but there are galaxies between us." The Emboians of Freegate jealously guard any guests taken under their care, which is why they are not to happy to see you. We've got a lot of people here right now, so outsiders make them nervous." Hannibal - "Yeah, I'm not getting a great vibe from them... Why are so many of your people here as 'guests.'" Callahan - "We won't be here long, what I want to show you will require a short trip, but it will help you understand our situation, and why we need Octan." The Emboians are strange, as are the well dressed fish men to his right, but the more human looking aberrations are somehow more distracting. Callahan - "The M.C.S. Gadfly will take us closer to the core. I would have taken you in my own ship but it doesn't have the speed or defenses that this ship can give us, and I couldn't risk your crew following us." They board the Gadfly and leave the hangar with two humans as crew to the ship. Callahan, while open about the make up of his Merchant Confederacy, is reluctant to talk about their destination. have you updated since last weeks builds were scored? I'm showing our pool at 3 credits after all of the transfers. The credits I "found" were 60 from your alien build in week 9 that we didn't count at the time, so those should have already been accounted for. @jody - I think Kodan made that, I'm sure he can give you a link here's at least 350 that should have gone in the pool but doesn't have a transfer on the timeline and still shows up in my signature

Fellow Corporations, In order to maximize our resource gathering capabilities through control bonuses, Octan would like to work collaboratively with each corporation to exchange planet domination. We propose the following exchange routes: With Kawashita (K): - Octan will dominate E11, then K will retake after Octan has gotten the control bonus. - K will dominate F09 by using spies and pirates. Once controlled, K will have the option to take H08, followed by H07 and H05. Octan will give K 2 weeks to decide whether or not to continue this route after each planet is taken. Octan will retake any controlled planet once it is not needed for further progress. - K currently has the option to mine G10 after Week 15, through the use of spies and pirates. Planet sharing of G10 will be considered by a separate agreement. With M.A.N.T.I.S. (M): - M will dominate H03 by using spies and pirates. Once controlled, M will have the option to take F03, H05, H07 and H08. Octan will give M 2 weeks to decide whether or not to continue this route after each planet is taken. Octan will retake any controlled planet once it is not needed for further progress. - M will have the option to mine G02 while they are in control of H03 or F03. However, control of H03 and F03 will not be granted for the sole purpose of mining G02. Planet sharing of G02 will be considered by a separate agreement. Further conditions: - Domination of a planet by M or K will not exceed 40 DP above Octan's DP. Any attempt to maintain control of a planet beyond this agreement will be considered a deviation and act of war. - Any purposeful deviation from the allowed course will be considered an act of war and a violation of this agreement. We understand that builders can build wherever they choose and that the corporation cannot control every builder. If a corporation has prior knowledge of a deviated build, they will inform the host corporation as soon as possible. Future deviations or interference with this agreement by any builder(s) will be strongly discouraged by each corporation. - Both M and K will have the option of controlling H05, H07, and H08. These planets will be shared on a first-come-first-served basis. Planets will not be shared between 3 corporations; it is not rational or feasible. H03 and F09 are both 500 A planets within 2 links of M or K. H03 will be exclusively available to share between Octan and M and F09 will be exclusively available to share between Octan and K. - Any corporation can revoke their participation in this agreement at any time. Octan reserves the right to control any planet East of E01-03 and E09-F10 when it sees fit. However, Octan will not deny control to an allowed planet without prior violation of this agreement. - We expect game scenarios and rules to be changed over time. This agreement is only valid so long as all relevant parties agree to the terms provided. Reiteration of past agreements: - All trades will be considered on a case-by-case basis. - Octan has no plans to build on planets West of E01-E03 and E09-F10 (with the exception of any agreement to E11, above). NPU on the propellers holding the engines in the back and the steering wheel inside the engine on the side. Excellent job keeping everything smooth and clean, the windshield was also an excellent choice in color and shape. And the kraaken hand(?) looks cool and menacing

Great use of those windshields. I've been wanting to find something for those pieces in my collection and you beat me to it.

I think the "flowers" need to look a bit more organic. The circular design is really cool, but it looks too structured to be plant-life. Great job on the rocks, pools, color scheme, and speeder bike (especially the scale of the speeder).

Location: Freegate - G02 Tags: Civil, Land Vehicle, Spaceship, Exploration While dropping supplies to mining startups on G02, Pilot John Hannibal noticed a strange circular formation on a glacier. Because Cantillon was already headed for the surface with OS-461, Hannibal decided to tag along with the Mercy Brandy's current land speeder to investigate the anomaly. There certainly appeared to be a man-made structure carved out of the ice and Hannibal circled around to get a closer look. When he did, he was "greeted" by some green-faced man, yelling in a foreign tongue orders Hannibal generally understood. Both stayed still, the green man with some sort of pike and Hannibal with a revolver he was not sure if the native had noticed. As the moment tensed, Hannibal caught the shadow of a ship coming overhead. Cantillon should not have the 461 in this sector. Hannibal risked angering the native to radio the Octan pilot. He didn't want to see the native killed, over such a simple misunderstanding. Cantillon - "Hannibal, I'm not in that sector but I'm on my way. Keep your comm open, the Mercy Brandy is coming in overhead." Hannibal stomach sinks. The mysterious ship drops in. The native doesn't move; eyes locked on Hannibal; pike back and ready to fly. great looking room, you really got some good shots of it and the proportion seems to be perfect. the bathroom is a nice touch, too and I like that the sink looks slightly strange. the tie bomber dream is cool too, great effects. i think a few pipes or wiring (greebles) breaking up the wall might have made feel a little more like Star Wars, but it's not too hard to imagine that in the universe.

I don't know what he was missing specifically, but I'm loosing a lot of blood from this shot in my foot, better go get it looked at. Sorry Octan.
