  1. I will be the first to post a picture of my build.
  2. I read somewhere that Lego stores, discovery centers, etc. are not acyually LEGO. They are owned and operated by another company thru contract with TLG.
  3. You can buy Legos from Lego online shop "replacement bricks". Shipping takes a little bit longer but you get what you want and it's brand new. Plus they give you VIP points if you're a member.
  4. You probably just need to upgrade to latest version of LPUB3D. It's really nice and you can of course select the color to be used. Highlighting or fading is in preferences. BTW, I enjoyed building your "5+R single pivot gearstick transmission. That is an awesome idea come to reality.
  5. Yea, We saw that entry yesterday. Thank you! This is waiting for approval as we speak on Rebrickable.
  6. You are very welcome! Nice to see I'm not the only lady around on EB . Attika and I worked together to get this done. Without his help I may not have succeeded. It's definitely better because of him. Special THANKS to Attika. I didn't even realize it's been over two months since we started, WOW!
  7. 8. Steinbeisserheld, Thanks for your comments and very eloquent I might add. Those are the reasons I took on this project to make the building instructions. Attika was kind enough to assist me and he has given the critical help I needed to do it. We have been at it for about 1 1/2 months. It's been a challenge at times but rewarding. It's very close now.
  9. OK folks here is the bill of materials, with 1605 parts. The tires are 68.8 X 36 (not properly marked by LPUB3D).
  10. Hey folks, keep watch. Attika's building instructions are coming soon...
  11. Could you explain how you did this so we can all understand. Thanks. How do you place these beziers? What are path points? What is disabling the loop generation?
  12. Snapshot, LDRAW programs aren't very user friendly. It took me awhile to learn it. But, I can now make building instructions for technic MOCs. Or. if all you're trying to do is build something from a digital file that does not have steps, I would be happy to work with you on a PM basis. I understand how frustrating it can be. But with a little coaching I can probably help you get past the tough spots.
  13. It does make a difference where the arms are pointing. I usually just make a note of it for myself. If you make the arms longer, you may also have to enlarge the paper table too. It's kind of fun isn't it!! BTW, I have not received notification of these latest posts either.
  14. Steps can be added in MLCAD or LDCAD, if they are not present. Do you need help with that too?
  15. Thanks very much deraven!! I'm downloading GIMP and am gonna give it a try. I found "transparency under the layer tab, does anyone know what to do with it? This kind of software is brand new to me.
  16. Am I finding this in POV-RAY? I did get the Blakbird tutorial out of Hispabrick Magazine.
  17. Does anyone know how to make the renders that Blakbird used to make. I'm talking about the ones that (I'm guessing) had an overlay of two images, one would be "see through" or translucent. Does anyone know how to make the "translucent" ones? Blakbird replies to technicbasics on Posted April 14, 2015 in page 2 of I use POV-Ray. Looks like your lights are the problem. Read the whole series of articles I wrote for Hispabrick magazine to see what I do. Does anyone know what issues these were in?
  18. Philo, that is a good idea. I thought of it too. But, how do you go about creating the arrow or circle with a transparent background? Could someone with the know how please just put this ability to add an arrow or circle into the software, like LPUB3D or LDCAD.
  19. Can someone please explain what it takes to add reverse to a 3 speed gearbox. What I mean is, what does it take to make it's output change to reverse. An extension is usually used, please tell me why. I realise that two gears meshed together spin in opposite directions. Somehow when I try to design one, it doesn't always change direction. What could I be doing wrong?
  20. That gearstick mechanism is totally awesome!!!!!! I wish I had found this a long time ago. I'm blown away!! This is the only one of these I've seen that actually works!!! And, you posted the BI. THANK YOU!!! I'm building this today. Do you have any digital files of this, LDRAW, LDD, Stud.io, etc?
  21. This is a MOC with a lot of functions! Nice use of Stud.io! Maybe next time you could use a part outline color that is not used, such as orange or bright green.
  22. Snipe have you finished your 8880 yet? Jeeves do you have anymore information? http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/270408 ? Anybody else?? If anyone can make something like these, I'd be willing to do the building instructions.
  23. I am now learning to bend dynamic parts. Attika, Could you supply pictures of the 8880 EVO chassis? I'm working with VOID_S' file but, I would like the result to be exactly like you created it (if possible). I have admired this MOC for a long time. You packed a lot of features into it.
  24. I have the beta version in Downloads on my 64 bit windows 10 PC. Does that mean there is no MAC version in it.
  25. Folks, Its a nice program and I like it, but it needs many improvements. I'm still looking for back page, the ability to change assembly scale, part anotations, rotation icon, the multi step layout is limited too. I do not like the look of the assembly images. Is there a way to change those outlines?. Coverting to callout is not working well. If you've found any of these, please speak up. The BOM uses too many pages. What about a back page with Lego disclaimers and copywrite? Instructions that I make using Stud.io turn out to have twice as many pages as LPUB3D. It's very difficult to scroll through the parts to find what you want. How about some simple arrow up or arrow down buttons! I find this is hard to use for building.
