  1. MLCad is old, archaic but it works. If you don't already use it, it will take awhile. Or, get someone to manipulate your build file for you.
  2. You know "MLCad" has a lot of Duplo parts. It's easy to use. What it has all works fine. I've been using them on a project recently. I've had no problems other than some Duplo parts don't exist yet.
  3. MLCAD is still my choice. I've tried LDCad, LDD, and Studio. LDD has not been supported for many years. I find LDCad difficult. Studio is hard to find and place the parts.
  4. To respond to your original inquiry: There is an "Official Model Repository or OMR is a library of official LEGO® sets that have been created in LDRaw format." https://library.ldraw.org/omr At least if an OMR has been made of the set you are working from, it will save you a lot of work. They are pretty handy. I have used them several times. As far as jumping back and forth in Stud.io, I'm unfamiliar. But, MLcad is old school and I find it easy. I just cut/paste or drag/drop! You just have to learn to use "multi part document" building.
  5. Look up "trees" on Rebrickable. Pick the ones you like and order the parts needed.
  6. WOW, Your Dad Has your treasure, but he is the real treasure!!!
  7. I've been playing with Lego for over 60 years. My opinion of the great Lego innovations are minifigures, Technic, and adult Lego, no question about it. The first two especially, BLEW MY HAIR BACK!!!!!!! I was an adult when all of these came out. Licensed Lego is great, but most big toy makers do that.
  8. The model I'm working on has three optional outputs: the original and two modifications. I want to show each of the three different versions. I'm not just moving sub-models. I have to remove one and replace it with a second sub-model and remove the second one and replace it with third sub-model also. It's a great ball contraption that can utilize one of three different outputs. My understanding of BUFEX is to use it to show location of part(s) by moving them into place using arrows. So, can BUFEX be used to remove and replace parts too? Otherwise, maybe I need to learn how to patch the instruction (PDF...) afterward.
  9. I'm making instructions for a model with optional modifications to be shown after the main model. So the main model is shown without modification and then shown with modification. In other words removing a sub-model & adding a new sub-model to main model in MLCad. Can anyone explain how that is done or point me in the right direction.
  10. Service times were bad in 2024 leading up to Christmas for pick a brick. This year has been very much improved over last year in my experience. Just call service and see if they can tell you anything. They may even give you some insider points.
  11. In Dec 2024 I made two pick a brick orders, They took 100 days! No kidding! I called TLG and they'd put me off for 10 days/ 2 weeks, I'd call again, same thing. I went around and around. The only thing they would do is give me "insider" points.
  12. Ownership!! The MOC was designed by someone who needs to be given credit for it and compension for it! Theft or copying of someone's design work should not happen!
  13. Yes, that is the correct ball for GBCs. It's being offered for $0.59 on Lego PAB. Plus, it's black Friday weekend. Order 60 and get free shipping. https://www.lego.com/en-us/pick-and-build/pick-a-brick?query=7421
  14. WOW!!! AWESOME!!!!
  15. SpacePolice89 above has the best idea... "Budget: between 100 and 400 € for the whole job (design + instructions + parts)" this may be low pay for such a job. Sourcing the parts alone would cost most or even all of that let alone paying for the time it takes to create the digital build plus instructions. I'm seeing parts in this that don't even exist in LDraw yet.
  16. That is truly amazing!!! It is awesome!!
  17. Lego sent out information that Lego's login is now Bricklink's login. Bricklink's logins no longer work.
  18. Google it. There are a lot of hits on this set. I did not find instructions or inventory.
  19. I'm over 60 years building, playing and buying Lego. I now have twice as much PF as all previous (none that are newer) motor systems from TLG. I now rebuild my own 9 volt and PF cables. I'm currently displaying at a Lego show with GBCs. I would be much better for me to be able to still buy these products from TLG!!
  20. The two Ldraw files above can be opened by Bricklink's Studio and any Ldraw software. LDD is no longer supported by LEGO or any one else so it has fallen into disuse. Therefore LDD files will be hard to find. Most LDD user's have gone to using Studio by now. Studio can be downloaded here https://www.bricklink.com/v3/studio/download.page . i hope this helps.
  21. Could you please show what you did that worked. Pictures need to be posted elsewhere and link to it here.
