  1. OK this is seriously cool. I want to build one. 'Here the sprockets are powered in ...slower output of 2 buggy motors, giving this thing crazy speed and torque." I love this concept! Can this be built with 4 buggy motors and 2 buwizz? Are there more pictures or even building instructions? Pardon me, but what is EV1? Nevermind, I got it now.
  2. I see you changeded the length of your steering links. I've considered doing that but never have.
  3. Usually if I have a Lego dream, it's about how to solve a building problem from the day before. In my dream I figure out a solution. When I get up the in the morning, Yup: it works!!
  4. When I buy for investment, I buy 2. Always, one becomes used immediately.
  5. Also sets 41999 and 9398. I would just buy them separately. Just remember, you can't get a "version 2" IR receiver from The Lego Group (TLG) separately. The "version 2" IR receivers from TLG are only in sets, or buy it from Bricklink or Ebay
  6. The average American parent can afford $20-$30 sets for their child for Christmas. They can also be bought at yard sales. I've always considered Lego to be a high quality toy worthy of it's price when you consider what the child's brain is learning while playing. They are also durable (with a little bit of care). For instance, my children played with the sets I had as a kid. Also, certain Lego themes are highly valuable once retired, which makes them a good investment.
  7. Available in the USA for $449.99 from Lego.
  8. Not knowing what any of these cost, I suggest Ecto-1 & 2 75828 or Paranormal Intercept Bus 3000 70423. I see 75828 and 21108 are about $40-42 ob Ebay.
  9. Here is a Lego ratchet mechanism. https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fle-www-live-s.legocdn.com%2Fsc%2Fmedia%2Flessons%2Fspm%2Fimages%2Fpawl-and-ratchet-one-079f542397864c9db7ab69a52a5ebd28.jpg%3Ffit%3Dinside|1041%3A810&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Feducation.lego.com%2Fen-us%2Flessons%2Fadvancing-with-spm%2Fpawl-and-ratchet&docid=sPx_QOKKajtGDM&tbnid=xJqjoNTn54JVXM%3A&vet=10ahUKEwjGjNjD283kAhVNeawKHVv3CMcQMwh1KBQwFA..i&w=1041&h=810&bih=937&biw=1920&q=lego ratchet mechanism&ved=0ahUKEwjGjNjD283kAhVNeawKHVv3CMcQMwh1KBQwFA&iact=mrc&uact=8 https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=images&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwje7NHS283kAhUO7qwKHUzBBaEQjRx6BAgBEAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Feducation.lego.com%2Fen-us%2Flessons%2Fadvancing-with-spm%2Fpawl-and-ratchet&psig=AOvVaw1ZnpFGf5DVJiGz6YFp4jLe&ust=1568461228008618
  10. He's right!! And, In defense of 8880 nostalgia, the point of view has to be going forward from sets like 8865 from six years earlier. Look at the v4 engine and the 3 speed unsynchronized transmission. http://www.technicopedia.com/8865.html The comparison from 8860 with 8880 is really more of a "contrast". So when Lego came out with 8880, It was a huge move forward for Lego Supercars!!!! There is no doubt now, when comparing 8880 to any current Lego supercar, that building the 8880 now is a let down. LEGO has come a long way since the 8880. Not to mention there is a humongous difference between building with studded technic bricks and studless beams. Keep in mind the perspective is going forward. Lego has made big improvements with supercars over their history and they have evolved for the better.
  11. http://akiyuki.jp/en/541 http://www.greatballcontraption.com/wiki/Main_Page Go to main page click on "Getting started" under "What is a Great Ball Contraption?" https://www.planet-gbc.com/ https://pv-productions.com/whats-a-lego-gbc/; They offer cheaper balls too .https://www.greatballpit.com/ Many GBCers use these for their balls: https://www.amazon.it/gp/offer-listing/B00TWFXCEA/ref=sr_1_1_olp/260-8405425-4507014?ie=UTF8&qid=1524935323&sr=8-1&keywords=Quercetti+Marbles+Refill+100+pieces&condition=new There are many GBC MOCs on Rebrickable.com
  12. You may want to use parts that are more easily obtained, none that have recently been designed and released.
  13. THAT IS AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!! Love it !! I hope the electronics didn't get too wet.
  14. Yes, delete it, (highlight the line of text and delete). Then redraw the page and see what the PLI looks like. PLI= parts list image. That "CONSTRAIN LOCAL HEIGHT" is about the size/shape of the PLI box. You have an awful lot of parts in that step. That could be why the parse failed. Can't see from your picture how many there are. i would be willing to take a look at your file. You can private message it to me if you like.
  15. Let's get back to the topic of Instructions for the blind. What can you do to contribute to this project?
  16. Check this out folks. Legofortheblind.com This is really cool!! I was just emailing with Matthew Shifrin. Maybe we could give this blind Lego enthusiast some help. How about it?
  17. 61975 Minifigure, Weapon Whip Coiled 88704 Minifigure, Weapon Whip Bent Flexible 2488 Minifigure, Weapon Whip / Plant Vine
  18. Yes, I'm still waiting for a Corvette with Chevrolet collaboration. How about TLG???; A beautiful mid- engine Corvette with a big beefy V8 with paddle shift and convertible top!!??
  19. Can this be done from a PDF?
  20. Thanks very much for this easy to understand explanation. This is helpful!! I am now not only putting copyright information on every page but also including "All rights reserved". AFOLs enjoy making MOCs and including instructions for public use. What we don't enjoy is the theft of them.
  21. If you don't have any motors yet buy only the latest. Bonox is right. Some of us have a lot of the former stuff. Now we have to figure out how to use them in the future when they become obsolete. That will only take a couple of years.
  22. Thanks for the work involved here and the video. Now the choice really is obvious. I'm glad I spent the money for 2 LEGO 5292s. I bought one from LUG (when available) and one from Bricklink (recently).
  23. There are two small actuators on the back of the shovel. Has anyone discussed what these do?
  24. There are 4 pages of posts and all have explanations and pictures how to do them.
