  1. I don't think I entirely understand what you are trying to do. But, would part # 42446 or part #29874 help?
  2. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-2271/Ingmar Spijkhoven/modification-technic-set-8258-with-free-instructions/#details Is this it? https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-170708/Louis_Lego_Mocs/4x4-tandem-rear-axle/#details Or, is this it? Or, how about these? OOps, one too many.
  3. WOW!! This is incredibly detailed! Is the rudder controlled by the ship's wheel too?
  4. Oracle VM VirtualBox This can create a virtual environement to run software with an older operating system on a current computer. So you don't have to maintain an old computer that is no longer supported by the manufacturer.
  5. My guess is that this is set 3806: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=3806-1#T=S&O={"iconly":0} If you click on inventory, bricklink will show all the parts for this set Instructions: https://www.brickfactory.info/set/index.html CD ROM: Click on 3806 for the correct one.
  6. That can be solved on a new machine by downloading the OS system that is required for the older Lego mindstorms, like Oracle VM VirtualBox https://www.virtualbox.org/ Not knowing what set is in question may make the following redundant. Bricklink.com can probably help you find the set number. Instructions and guides can be retreived. https://www.lego.com/cdn/product-assets/product.bi.core.pdf/4129439.pdf Some old CD files are available as well, https://www.brickfactory.info/iso/index.html They also Have instructions for the set.
  7. These are masterful Lego examples of these trains. I have been in the presence of the 1225 Pere Marquette many times. It's a real behemoth! My son at 5 years old got hoisted right up into the cab. WOW, the ground all around the thing vibrates your feet!
  8. Looking forward to seeing your project here when it is appropriate to do so. Thanks for sharing.
  9. I hope the South Korean government will take care of this in as speedy a process as possible. I can't imagine life without enough Lego.
  10. You have to post pictures elsewhere, then put a link to it here.
  11. You know... You do what you gotta do! It is intense, isn't it?
  12. Do you have your Lego collection insured??? I saw this on Youtube this morning and was wondering if anyone has had this kind of thing happen to them? The insurance company thinks Legos are just toys and not an investment or that Lego values cannot go up over time. Do we AFOLs need some special Lego insurance for our collections? Are there ways to protect our investments in Lego? What can we do? Then, I found this: https://youtu.be/No9X4eQhWDI
  13. Maybe this one : http://www.technicopedia.com/8852.html
  14. Thank you Diego Baca! That is very helpful information.
  15. This is a needed topic. I hope some solutions are shared here.
  16. 61684 is not a part number. I don't mean to confuse everyone but, (from Bricklink) the two currently made 4x4 turntable parts that lock are: "Turntable 4 x 4 x 1 1/3 with Black Square Base, Locking (87081 / 61485)".
  17. When there just isn't a suitable solution using unmodified parts for a build, I do cut parts. For example: I just tried using 22484 bar with towball, which works well if you cut off a couple mm from the end of the bar. Also part 65578 works very well when placed similarly to 79194/25893. Part 65578 must be fully seated to work well and not be too tight/long. 22484 65578

  19. Could someone please share the part number for that domed part. Thank you.
  20. "Also if bits are missing is it acceptable to replace with a new piece (same size and colour of course)". Used sets are definitely worth more if they are complete. For value check prices on Bricklink or https://www.brickeconomy.com/
  21. The normal top for this base is 30658 which has ribs that lock inside the ring and a center snap portion that goes into the hole of the base. What is the part number for this dark tan piece? Look at the underside of both this part and 30658. You will see what is needed.
  22. if these two blue pins are "new" on this step, just locate them where they are gonna be now.
  23. I'm flattered when someone wants to build or modify my work, especially when I have worked so hard at it. I definitely expect to have my work credited to me. Yes, I give credit when I'm inspired by someone else's work, even when it is only a small but unique portion.
  24. You need to talk to Battery Powered Bricks on Youtube. This just one of his many helpful videos:
