The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion

Of course! May he live a long and prosperous life, too. And may the trade companies wish for the same! -
The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion
Kolonialbeamter replied to Sebeus I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The undersecretary for public waste management - angered that his important civic duties had to be interrupted by yet another petty triviality - hastens to the ambassador of King Fernando, delivering another note. Honorable King Fernando of the noble and souvereign nation of Eslandola, it appears to us, that His Majesty cannot wait to arrive in the great city of Granoleon. We sincerely hope His Majesty isn't in any financial malaise, and we ask ourselves if it could be that the Eslandolan trade companies kicked His Majesty out of 'his' royal chambers? Should His Majesty need shelter, there will always be guest chambers reserved in the palaces on Granoleon. With the highest respect, and in all familial amity, Your concerned relatives. Vive le Roi! -
The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion

Nice intro, Col. Brik. Looks like Wilhelm has some bitter sweet stories to tell. Welcome to Oleon and BoBS! -
This is one awesome layout Great recruitment drive for BoBS, I suppose You guys must have had some tremedous fun To be clear, and before any rumors arise, Captain Sebeus' true home will always be Oleon. It'd be cool if someone could forward this message to him, as he is operating in uncharted waters. There's no reason to ask for amnesty, as he has always been and will ever be welcome amongst our ranks. Real life can sometimes get in the way of what really matters in life - plastic - but that will pass, and Lego will remain. We hope to see you soon back home in Oleon, Captain Sebeus! For now, good hunting... just, please don't confuse green with blue flags!

The Empire of Eslandola: Sign-up and Discussion
Kolonialbeamter replied to kabel's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Perhaps it is time for the trade companies to renew their sacred vows to the only true and legitimate ruler of Eslandola, King Fernando, just to forever do away with all false rumors about wrong loyalties within the sacred borders of the eslandian realm.- 780 replies

The foremost task of every loyal subject is to rally behind their King when asked to take sides, and to trust His Majesty's wisdom - not question His Majesty's Royal authority. One might ask where your loyalties lie- 780 replies

The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion
Kolonialbeamter replied to Sebeus I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
His Majesty sure knows what to make of the words from gentlemen of Belson's elite After all, if anyone is familiar with the use of poison... well, but that's - of course - only rumors... We wonder, however, why eslandian trading companies supply the royal court in Belson with all their desired commodities... But relations between them and the corrish royals are surely only business related, and must be beyond all political scope À Votre santé! -
A very nice house you have here His Majesty. Now all it needs is the proper inner order If needed, Oleon has many talented and famed architects that can surely help you with this venture, should your own powers be weakened for some reason.

The Empire of Oleon: Sign-up and Discussion
Kolonialbeamter replied to Sebeus I's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
After a rather short and bored debate in the Royal Family, the High Council was asked to handle this absurd charade, leaving the Royal Family to mourn our beloved late Monarch. And the members of the High Council gave the matter the attention it deserved. As a response the undersecretary for public waste management was tasked to deliver the following statement to the ambassador of King Fernando: Sounding the bells of conflict instead those of loving understanding in a time of national mourning it is a very uncivilized thing to do. We do understand His Majesty's desire to distract from inner quarrels in the much distressed Kingdom of Eslandola. We are very sorry for the current state of the His Majesty's Kingdom. Rest assured that His Majesty's relatives in the Royal Oleon Family will always stand by His Majesty's side, should His Majesty's authority be challenged by inner or outer usurpers. But before trying to find a new throne to ascend to, His Majesty might first manage to keep His own house in proper order. We are looking forward to meet His Majesty, the lawful and legitimate King of the noble nation of Eslandola, as a most welcome guest of honor at the enthronement festivities in the great city of Granoleon soon. With the highest respect, and in all familial amity, Your concerned relatives. Vive le Roi! -

[OL - FB2] The 'Commerce de Breshaun'
Kolonialbeamter replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
To cope with the loss of all my ships in the MCRA I had to come up with something ridiculous again, so... here goes Survived, With Amazing Gains Having returned home with literally all the riches of New Terra, the crew of the 'Commerce' immediately knew how to spend their winnings wisely: The hull had to get a metall planking for better protection and endurance. So they made the logic choice. Gold!! And you know what goes along with a new paint job? Exactly! A new attitude!! However, not just because they go together well, but also, because new attitudes were on sale that week. Deal with it!! -

Thanks, guys I've done that too many times already (not for BoBS, though), and got bored. I figured those beams could be an obstacle if cargo was to load? Also all cargo is stored in the belly to keep a low center of gravity - important when sailing straight through a hurricane. And not to forget: if the boat is less easily accessable, the crew's gonna be more motivated to not abandon ship easily Sails - and rigging - are only placeholders in my MOCs, since in the brick they'd be made of, well, not Lego. So no, they are not meant to be build in bricks, hence not interconnected. Also, the yards are not connected to the masts (that goes for square rigged sails' yards), since in reality there'd be rigging for that purpose. -
New features to the MRCA

That's where the skill system (like GoH's UoP) could come into play, right? -
New features to the MRCA
Kolonialbeamter replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Having slightly recovered from my heart attack upon receiving the news of two lost ships, my opinion on changes is kind of not really made up, so I won't vote yet. I must say I can totally live with the current system. I even think the risk is not really high enough, given the potential yield. If you want safe income, go landlubbing! What about increasing the risks of the MCRA (or leaving them as they are), and to counter risks use the skill system to add 'experience', improved ships, or whatnot Well, all really depends on what sort of changes are considered for MCRA2. -
Yeah It's that time of the month again, where we sit back, look proudly at our creations, relax, and enjoy ourselves waiting for Santa Ska to bring us merry news and one or two Doubloons. Joking aside. Aaaaahhhh, the suspense is killing!! I need a sedative

Thanks for all the praise, guys and gals Given the time it took to get these few minifigs in place I'm kind of terrified of any large-scale faction confrontation that only for this reason hopefully never happens- 22 replies

Wow, quite a fleet you got there, LS, and that latest addition is a very fine one! The monkey business going on aboard is great And your lookout boy seems rather interested in interstellar travel... I see nothing that could go wrong on a journey with that crew Keep it up!
