  1. It's great to see you at work again, Madoca :) Don't mind the roof conspiracy theorist, he's just funny that way.
  2. It's weekend, let's be silly ;)
  3. There is no way to use a Bluetooth controller with an IR receiver, no.
  4. Ads? Just use Ad Blocker :)
  5. Actual internal dialogue I had back when writing this book: Me: I don't see any way to mesh this. OK, let's say this turntable doesn't mesh with the worm gear. Also me: Wait, somebody will eventually figure out some wild way to mesh it and will make you and your book look stupid. Me: Let's play it safe... "very difficult to mesh with a worm gear". :)
  6. If anybody is interested in building a copy of this model (doable in light bluish gray to save costs, black should be possible too), the instructions can be bough here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-25045/Sariel/rc-renault-ft-17/ Free sample of the instructions is here: http://sariel.pl/down/renaultft17sample.pdf And a complete parts list is here: http://sariel.pl/downloads/renaultft17.xlsx
  7. 4) If I share, copy away, don't waste time asking for permission. It's a combination of Lego pieces, not a cure to cancer.
  8. For Power Puller tires, I would suggest including in the cons that the tires are quite soft, resulting in a really high rolling resistance. Also, with Sbrick you can use a PS4 gaming pad and get physical feedback.
  9. Motorized all the way. It's fun to ride your MOC around, it's fun to control it remotely, especially with fast RC vehicles when you can really feel the handling, the acceleration, the way the suspension works. RC drifters are extremely fun too, and you just can't have that sort of fun without motors.
  10. I don't think the shape and size is right.
  11. He's got no time to build left, he's busy hating me full-time ;)
  12. Yehveh is an amazing detective and there's no cheating him. He discovered what I've explained right when this MOC was published, in the description at my website which is linked to in the very first post. Quote: Mystery solved. Stiffness isn't an issue here, and yes, the arm should be 3 studs wide (shockingly, I do use my own scaler tool), but a single pneumatic cylinder is simply too weak to operate the arm at full weight (there's a motor at the end of the arm and plenty of structure). Thank you, mr. Yehveh for producing 6 comments on such a very well hidden secret. EB wouldn't be the same without you.
  13. Very cool! I'm happy I could have contributed to such a creative MOC!
  14. From the LEGO Bugatti Chiron set. Cool car!
  15. You could use some pushrod that rotates the wheel. Even a steering link with two towballs, maybe.
  16. I'm glad that your comments continue to be of highest quality. Allow me to humbly point out two things: 1. They didn't use blue in 10265. They used dark blue. It's not the same. 2. 31070 belongs in regular Creator, not Creator Expert.
  17. 5/5. What else is there to say? :)
  18. Sorry again, what you suggest is replacing the actuators with pneumatics. Maybe that's what "improve" means to you, but I'd say it sounds pretty vague to other people (pneumatics isn't an obvious improvement over actuators). Anyway, nice model.
  19. Sorry, you said improve, not add.
  20. There is no pneumatics on the arm.
  21. That's very kind of you. I agree that old pieces are always useful. My Renault FT-17's glacis plate hinge is a good example. I could only make it work thanks to the use of one old, very specific piece. This one: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3614b#T=C
