It's probably the fact that their submission rejection rate is somewhere around 95%. Just guessing, though.

It's your fourth post on a project that probably won't even reach that 10,000 votes. Relax mate.

So can a stone :) What's your problem, does it say anywhere that this project is 42070's competition? Did a set as crappy as the 42070 suddenly become a golden standard for judging other sets? I don't think so. 8043 was an excellent RC set, for example. And it didn't require you to come and switch functions by hand like the 42070 does.
-
And I wouldn't put the abhorrent 42070 set in my profile pic, but to each their own :) The 42070 was only huge because it was full of air and empty space, BTW, and the price it came with easily justified 4 motors, not 2. Look, don't vote if you don't like it and move on with your life. I made compromises that I thought were reasonable. You're free to feel differently and to submit your own stuff to Ideas. The project is over 9,300 votes short from even being considered, so no need to lose any sleep over it.

1. XL motor is way too large to fit in. 2. LEGO will probably just use gears or open diffs if this project ever gets approved. 3. The axles can fall off in upside-down position, but the battery box will still remain in place.
-
That is completely wrong. Not only LEGO never claimed that Technic is banned from Ideas somehow, but the Ideas designers specifically told me that they are welcoming Technic submissions and looking forward to a suitable project.
-
Far from ideal, I know, but one needs to compromise at this scale. It's still better than open diffs ;)

So here's the idea: seeing as all large and complex Technic submissions have failed on LEGO Ideas so far, I set out to create a very small and simple, yet fully functional 4x4 crawler. This is the result, which can be considered the 9398 set on a budget ;) as it offers pretty much the same functionality in a considerably smaller package. If you're willing to give this project a shot at becoming a set (a Technic Ideas set would be nice, at long last), please support it here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/ba4cebf3-1f80-497d-9ecb-faee2dbc1df3 Photos and description: http://sariel.pl/2018/11/4x4-jeep-wrangler-trailcat/

Is there some gear reduction between the universal joints and the wheels? Edit: nevermind, found it.

I had some trouble with BuWizz units running dry in a matter of minutes, so I didn't try it. Most industrial solvents work just fine. I honestly can't think of a less suitable vehicle for drifting.
