Lego mini trophy truck
HorcikDesigns replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It has great rear axle, but that is all. Sorry, you had much better MOCs. -
Yes, two buggy motors would be great, but it means one more BB and V2 Reciever, which i have not. ;) However, when I'll get them, ... :D

Thank you guys! I am glad you like it. ;) @dd. Doc_Brown: I have used only my phone (Nokia N8, so the frames per second are 25 I guess, but I am not sure) camera's video capturing mode. However, I have used it more times before, and this did not happen - only after uploading to YT. I'll try another video-making tool. ;)

Hi. When building Trial Truck for next race of Czech LTTT competition, I have decieded to build something really fast. I have not succeeded, this one is not fast, On the other hand, this is my first hot-rod with classic body style (my Willys-rod was something "special" :D ) So, this one is equipped with one 5292 RC buggy motor geared down from 20t bevel gear to new-style diff (see photo of chassis in album), one servo for steering, and both of them are powered by one Li-Po BB. This BB also powers two sets of lights. Unfortunatelly, probably because of weight of this car the V2 reciever often overheats and shuts down for a while the drive motor. In video you could see more info about it. (however, my Movie Maker or YTprofile is probably broken, it makes strange effects :D) More photos: WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod chassis Hope you like it, critique or comments welcomed ;)

Thanks. This is only digital test, where I have tested the dimensions, so the steering would be much improved in the non-digital version. Motors - as I wrote in the picture, there would be two 5292s (RC Buggy motor) powered by an external twin BB connected with car by wires (without IR). When I look back, I would also change the position get it lower of the motors gearbox (rectangle frame with 16t-s to 24tcrown gears), or substitute it with some wormgear-ed structure. Thanks for ideas. ;)

The suspension could be shocks or leaf springs (like in original 8×8 Kolos, I think) or whatever one can imagine - it is not yet secified. The suspension arms are inspired by Nico71's T815 ( http://www.nico71.fr/tatra-4x4-t815/ ) And the links are there to keep the arms straight, because they are not solid when it rolls forward or backward. ;)

Will the Tatra be 6*6 or 8*8? I don't know how if this setup is solid, but it looks asd the best I!ve ever seen ;) -

Musclecar
HorcikDesigns replied to HorcikDesigns's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks - yes, the rear light are little bit inspired by Cam. :D The motor, that I have used there is yet very old and second-hand bought. And, what's more, the car is little bit "massive"... :D -

Thanks, RBs in the back are supporting the shocks, because they were in uncomfortable angle, so the yellow hard shocks were very soft in rear suspension. And RBs in the front are keeping the wheel's lines in "parallel" position, not intersecting (I hope that the Google translate was accurate :D) -

Thanks. Ithe Li-po runs out quickly, but it is powerful in first minutes. ;) -
Hi When I had been building (in March, I think) other things, that are going to appear soon, I have recognized, that I have parts to make a great chassis for simple buggy-ish vehicle. However, then I have seen some musclecars here in Technic forum, so I decieded to build one too. This one is the final product of that build - it is not prepared, I've been building it instantly according to my thoughts. Hope you like it. ;) it is propulsed by one 5292, and for steering it has one servo. It's steering wheel doesn't move, it is just decoration, and at "RC car" it was "redundable mass"... Mitsubishi Pajero Pinin

I think it is the best Lego car with gearbox I have ever seen. But the A and C pillars could be more massive. ;) But it is just little detail.
