It has been a (scandalously) long time since I found some spare time to build for Andromeda's Gates, the sci-fi rpg over on Eurobricks, but with this GARC I managed to hop back in. GARC: Galactic Asteroid Rally Circuit racers These are basically microbuild spaceships made to zoom around asteroids, and they are part of the Challenge 5, category C. The rules mention the vessel must count 12x12 studs maximum excluding exhaust fumes etc, which I managed to the final stud in length (see the bottom picture). The Ice Runner is the latest Kawashita racer, and sports the icy logo of Von Geekington's love for ice mining. Long and sleek, she is mostly geared towards straight line speed, sacrificing manoeuvrability instead. Sporting quad awesomnium impulse engines, the lady is ready to compete for gold in the AG Olympics! And the requested twelve stud measurement

Nah, she should fit just fine when her final 48x48 gets shuffled in. As in about 2cm left each side of the table, so no more eating on that table then- 897 replies

Quinnsville had a lot of work done today, only 1 module of 16x16 left to finish and "slot in". This will be something park like with an apple thief, just waiting for a fresh amount of leaves and grey round studs to arrive to finish it all. She will then be ready for Brick Mania Antwerp come november, and the next calendar year I`ll be focussing on a third 48x48 module for the main street, and start filling up the "Hinterland" area where now only the plantation stands with additional 32x32 plates... The Town as she stands now (I lined her up to see if I had calculated all the roads and the water correctly)- 897 replies

Don`t worry with FIW uniforms being white, off white or even light grey. They did indeed leave the "parade ground" a dashing white with usually light blueish sashes et all, but the harsh and humid climate of the Wilderness quickly faded the colours to a light grey and a light blueish grey.

Knowing our "lay out planner", who is also on Eurobricks and tends to toggle between Pirates and Castle, I`m going to have all the time in the world in 2017 to build Castle themed again (well, at least until BMA deadline that year then ) -
Phred, could you check something for me? Last week (the 11th I believe) I should have transferred 230 DBs from my personal funds into the MAESTRO Corrington account (well, if I did the paperwork right that is...) but I don`t see it showing up in the account summary. Has something went boo-boo? (aka, what did I undoubtly do wrong)

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Yes, got some planned and semi-started, but I`m stuck first with having to complete some builds for the Conventions coming up, as well as the second plate of a pirate town for a large display for Brick Mania Antwerp. GoH has been forced a bit on the backburner because of that in all honesty, but I`m still aiming to complete that AoM project to the fullest. -

Yups, this will slot in left or right next to main plate that had the engraved bricks. The beaches are detachable, so I can keep putting 48x48 plates between them, and 32s will start going at the back over time to represent the Hinterland- 897 replies

Work on the 'second phase" of Quinnsville has officially begun, including the dock to moor the Frisky Business in. Deadline: Brick Mania Antwerp in November where she will go on the massive pirate lay-out And after much pondering, I`ve decided I won`t be tearing her down afterwards, but will continue expanding her modularly until the appartment runs out of room- 897 replies

Settlement: Quinnsville, "Chocolate Island", Corrington

The Quinnsville Chronicler, issue 4 More relaxation opportunities arise Captain Tierlantijn, entertainer and entrepreneur, has sailed his vessel the Frisky Business into a permanent mooring within Quinnsville. This will allow the sailors that are waiting on land to get back on the seas to have some more opportunities to take some relaxation, at their own risk of doubloons and secrets which can not be guaranteed to be held by the previous owners. MAESTRO Corrington gets financial injection Our reporter learned from a good source that our benevolent mayor Smaugton, the self-proclaimed Lord of Driftwood, has injected a serious capital raise into MAESTRO Corrington, in order to ensure smooth operations that are in the pipeline. -
Wherever new settlements tend to grow, the amount of sailors increases. And those sailors need distraction for when they are on land, so it was no wonder that Captain Tierlantijn sailed his ship into the Quinnsville harbour and moored it there. This ship, The Frisky Business, is manned by "ladies of ill repute", out to empty the pockets of golds and the heads of secrets, which their captain can definitly try to turn into profit... A small build based on the gorgeous Elves ship, the Frisky Business is a ship I won`t be licensing as an actual ship in Brethren of the Brick Seas, but as a place of commerce property. The vessel will become permanently moored in the larger baseplate of Quinnsville, which I`m currently working on, as a sort of floating merchant place. Something actually quite common in the age of piracy, where a lot of older ships where used as housing and commerce, as the regular buildings couldn`t be raised fast enough at times compared to the influx of new settlers. Have a good time aboard...

Couple of quick questions 1. Can I register a ship as an actual property? The idea I`m building around with, is a merchant vessel that will be permanently moored on my second big Quinnsville plate, and in a sort of dock. Basically, a floating shop. 2. Any news when Ska will return, so I can get some info on what sort of mine I ended up with (which was set up end of May)

Aw right, the "half year of hell" is starting to slow down a bit, so I might be able to start building some thingies again in the near future. Any spectacular updates I have been missing (apart from the seriously redrawn galactic map by now it seems)
