  1. I always visit the fair as a Belug member, and have read about the layout. But my skills are to novice to undertake such collaborations, not to mention I have to haul a heap of kids in my wake ;-)
  2. It works, thanks Gives me some reading material this afternoon :-)
  3. Okay, so i've been scouring the intrawebs, tried LDD and some other, but I can't really wrap my head around how to build a decent round tower. Does anyone have some good pointers for this? The idea is not to really build a high and mighty tower, but more of a small and 'fat' round building, as I'm bar a Lego-ista also an avid World of Warcraft player and would realy like to MoC up a Blood Elf based building, a bit like this one in style: but my modest skills and swiss cheese for brain doesn't seem to get itself wrapped around how to start out on the techniques required, mainly the part of how you connect a round building to a square baseplate, and how to get to the building of a roofing structure on top of the round tower. The how to build the round part itself I got (more or less) covered by using the cones and 1x2 brick technique I saw on some MoC's here though, it's the "what to do afterwards with them" parts I am going all misty in...
  4. As long as you take it to Brickmania in november, so I can drool over it ;-)
  5. Valyrio is a nice (obscure) guild with it's Venetian style. So when will they return out of the shadows? Book 3?
  6. Back when I joined, I couldn't decide between Kaliphin (I loved the Pharaoh's Quest line and the fact they have that little 'chinese conclave' on their map) and Mitgardia (I have a lot of grey and white bricks from before my dark age, and their viking and rural feel for builds). So it really boils down to some details yes, I can't actually say why exactly I went for Mitgardia over Kaliphim, but I haven't regretted my choice yet, as the 'Books' give you a chance to build and brick in every style and every country.
  7. That is a very original idea, great work!
  8. Those cheating Kaliphians! Luckily there are already to many Civil Wars brewing or we'd have to send a special division of our 'heavy bearded belly dancer females' in to blind them before the big assault!
  9. Hey, cool, the Manager thanks you all for letting his mocs pass
  10. I like the ski roof! Great build and many succes in the hunt for the Hersir title!
  11. Yush, managed to send al the info needed (I think)
  12. I think my siggy is a few pages back in here, with the part list and background, feel free to nab it
  13. A great story, gives us more I really like that black statue as well, top work
  14. Have their been more sets with the elven hair and pointy ears then the yellow one from the collectible minifigs? I have been thinking of starting to build Sin'dorei buildings, but the problems I'm facing and trying to figure out is 1. variation in elves and 2. how to put a 1x2 / round brick tower to a base (I think I'm going to use a sort of cover op by attaching it left and right)
  15. It was a great run for the first challenge, and now that I know what to expect and what is expected, many bricks will litter the floor for the second instalment... where are we going?
  16. Great reviews. Even though I'm not 'into' the Friends range, I did buy the Flame the Tiger set. It has some great parts for MoC'cing (the vines, the golden temple 1x1 studs, the tiger kitten itself) and the little money it costs can't force me to mail order it (even without shipping, the sets have a good brick value for me)
  17. That is... awesome! I love the story under the mountain
  18. The tiles want me to cannibalise my Lego family games. I greatly prefer the angle the castle is build on though
  19. A great and tragic story, I think it is the first time I see a 'supporting actor casualty' in the storylines (sorry anyone if I missed it if you did it before), adding that extra touch of drama to the whole storyline. I especially love the part where Owlan charged through the Wizard, he has that look and feel of the 'no good for anything' warrior that you find in every ,ore or less comical rpg stories, that guy that tends to fall in traps and such yet escape unharmed from it.
  20. I really like the use of the 'not so One Rings' on the door, and it is a great build breathing a 'brooding' atmosphere
  21. Very inspirational builds over the whole line! Phoenix Guards... don't they usually wear white robes and have pôinty ears ;-) (or I'm probably seeing warhammer references everywhere hihi)
  22. I prefer the Lake Town set, the houses are nice (and tbh, I never thought of the two combined rowing boats for a moc ship)
  23. Myabe put a big beastie thing or so in the cave to 'break it up' a bit?
