    What should i buy?

Is there a parts list for the Maersk Container, and Flat Bed separate from the rest of the set? Would like to add a couple more to mine.
  3. Anyone know if there is a MOC for this awesome Lamborghini Aventador? http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/360466 I have seen there is a Yellow and Red one, however I'd much prefer to attempt to build the Black one, it is simply stunning.
  4. Sorry yes I meant instructions. Thanks for the title edit. I'll search rebrickable. Do you think I can substitute the outer panels for all black colour?.

    Buildings for my layout

I'm doing an elevated rail layout on glass shelves in my computer room, this however means I will be height limited for buildings. In the main part of my layout I have about 19cm in height before hitting the ceiling, so I was wondering what Lego building sets can be accommodated within this restriction? I love the City modular town hall, emporium however I don't have the space. I already have 60050 Train station which I am building for my layout. I'm now looking for shorter buildings please advise if you have anything in mind.

    Buildings for my layout

Well I am progressing slowly, I have a basic loop layout already built, have posted a test vid here with the Horizon Express running 3/4 speed. My bridge design was inspired by Bob Lilly .
  9. Hi I have been slowly acquiring parts via Bricklink to build an extra Emerald night carriage. All I have left to get are the 10 x 6556 Tan window 1 x 4 x 3 and window inserts. I came across these similar ones 60594 Tan window 1 x 4 3 no shutter tabs and the Glass window for 1 x 4 x 3 opening. Would this work, has anyone used these? Besides the small asthetic of no shutter window line it looks identical? They are a heck of a lot cheaper, just don't want to get them if they aren't the same physically, i.e. prevent building of the rest of the carriage due to size or something.

    2015 LEGO Trains?

Err New Zealand is not in Europe.. https://www.google.c...=!3m1!1e3?hl=en
  12. Well, here is my story, pasted from my Bricklink post Hi, I am just getting into Lego trains, after seeing that 10194 Emerald Night set on Youtube I was determined for it to be my first Lego train set. After searching around for it I settled on trying to obtain it through Brick link, I noticed a seller in Spain, and I asked what their shipping price was. I did notice they were a relatively new seller and only has 1 other sale. All in all I thought it was reasonable and so I went ahead and ordered it, and made payment via Moneybookers as that is all the seller accepted and/or bank transfer. As everyone knows this set is now quite rare and it cost me 200EURO excl shipping, however I was willing to pay the amount for this being my first Lego Train set. The seller was quite responsive via email, and a few emails were exchanged on Dec 22 to Dec 23. Establishing shipping method and price etc. The last email exchange I had from the Seller was on Dec 23 where they acknowledged receiving the Moneybookers payment and that they will email me when the item has shipped, and it should take 5 working days to get here, I am in New Zealand. After a week or so I noticed the status hadn't changed on Bricklink, and I hadn't received a shipping email. However seeing it was Christmas I thought I'd wait it out, as I myself was busy with family during this period. By Jan 4 I still hadn't received anything or any further correspondence from the Seller. I had assumed they shipped it and neglected to change status through their Bricklink store etc, being a new seller I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. On Jan 4 -6 I emailed them twice, and sent messages through BL. I haven't had any responses yet. I looked up their Bricklink Store, and noticed it was empty, however I don't think they had much inventory anyway, but they do have 2 feedback. I assumed it may be due to holiday season. I can see they haven't logged into BL since Jan 1, so I am still assuming they haven't seen my messages. However I would think they'd check their email as I have directly emailed them several times. I am still hoping they are on holiday and just haven't attended to their email. I have now issued a NSS on BL for the seller. I am at a loss at what further I can do, I am unable to contact the seller. I am gutted that I may potentially be out 220 EURO which is a significant amount in New Zealand dollars. I am not sure if I have any recourse through Moneybookers, I will try and check. I have pasted the screenshot of the order details, I am trying to find ways to contact the seller, I am still hopeful they just haven't cleared emails.. I am highly disappointed.
  13. Moneybookers now called Skrill is like Western Union but online etc. Yes I realise the risk was on me. I have learnt my lesson here. In over 15 years of buying online this is the first time I've been scammed, I guess my naivety with Bricklink stores came into play.

    Buildings for my layout

Excellent thanks for the suggestions. I think getting at least a couple of the modular City sets and build them, then modify to lower the set height is the way I will approach it. Wow I love how your layout is progressing, hope you don't mind but I'm going to copy the idea of reducing the size of the official Lego pet store etc modular buildings. Thanks for the other set suggestions I will look into them.

MOC: Lego Train Station 60050 XXL!

Can you tell me what the dimensions are of the station with 2 tracks, using your original MOC? I will only be able to fit that one in my layout, and am interested in the total depth, and height.

    Pullman MOCs for Emerald Night

Hi interested in this, care to share the parts list please? I don't suppose you have any instructions to build? My friend has a EN Loco and tender he wanted to sell, so I may purchase them off him, if I can build these for it.

    Horizon Express

So I just picked up 2 of these from different retailers here in NZ. I am new to Lego trains and this seems like a perfect first train for an AFOL. I was wondering is there a official Lego way on how to run PF when you have 2 sets joined? Do you add PF functions in each loco, and a switch? And how do you setup the speed controller so both motors respond etc? Any Lego instructions on this dual setup? thanks.

    Track?

Hi I am new to Lego Trains, and I am considering buying a Horizon Express kit to go around my Christmas tree. I am in New Zealand and in the stores I am only seeing the 7499 Flexi and Straight track pack. How many of these do I need to make a Oval shape track please?
  19. Could someone please help, and tell me what the total height in mm is, for the Emerald Night including track. Please measure from the bottom of the track to the highest point on the Emerald Night sitting on the track (I assume the smoke stack is highest point). And also the same for the Horizon Express please, from bottom of track to highest point on Horizon Express, (top of pantograph arm) This is because I am contemplating building a suspended track and have some limitations with respect to suspending track and the available height of the ceiling. I have yet to purchase the Emerald Night or Horizon Express sets (from ebay), but would first like to confirm this before purchasing.
  20. So being my first technic build, I have little experience in Technic (the Supercar is still in the box) I have a question. I am building the crawler from book1, and am up to the point where it instructs you to insert a 13 hole beam to both wheel axels. I found this severely limits steering feels almost like its twists the pins with the beam attached to achieve steering. I take it this is normal? I know once the gear rack and gear are added I won't be able to turn it manually.
  21. Hey Paul how about calling your Lego Office in Aus? or the Toyworld stores in your city? Most of the NZ suppliers are shipped via Australia so there could be a chance.
  22. Hi I only just started getting into Technic after purchasing the 8070 Super Car. I then saw the 9398 4x4 Crawler which utilmateley led me to this forum to learn about the 41999 after reading through 34 pages of this thread I thought I must try and get one. Being this late I thought there was no chance I would be able to pick one up as the I am in New Zealand and the online store showed out of stock. BL and Ebay had them for well over twice the price! I emailed and Lego SH, Lego Australia answered and said there little chance of then getting more stock .. I was about to give up hope when I saw an NZ online store (mighty ape) advertising it for end of Sept delivery and taking pre-orders. I promptly put an order through. However in the back of my mind I didn't think it would be filled. I went to a Toy world store during the weekend and they hadn't heard of the 41999. Just this morning I saw Mightyape remove the preorder for the 41999 so I called them and they informed me that the supplier said it is discontinued. I then decided to call Lego NZ number on their website, after nuermours attempts to get through (some guy saying he's on holiday and to leave a message for Lego to contact me), I then found the NZ office number I called, and was told that yes they have some come through just this week and that a few of the Toyworld stores will have stock shipped overnight!!... I called the same Toyworld store (Sylvia Park) they said they have 10 instock now! I have 1 reserved for me to pickup later tonight.. cant wait!.
