It has a distinct Trygalle trade guild vibe from the Malazan books of the fallen series to me as wellicht. Lovely bit of work this!

Lego does exactly this with the HP theme, releasing parts of hogwarts that are modulair and connect together. There are smaller wings, towers, etc. Granted, not floors, but this principle could have been applied to Rivendel too. I am happy they didn't btw, but the suggestion isnt't far out there or something

To be fair the first book is a bit like that anyway. Quite generic fantasy in the sense that small town people learn about something big and have to run or journey into the wider world, getting educated along the way. It really finds its own stride in the later books (not that I am saying the first one is bad, but I'd say you got the vibe of the first book /episodes right.)

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
hoppa replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Personally I like the scheme, but earlier this thread someone had replaced the blue with black which looked great. Gave a bit of that painted wooden facade kind of feel with other stories showing brick. -

And, it is a borderline insane suggestion, I know; what if you would call the shop to ask them? ;)

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
hoppa replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Imagine the outrage come reveal of a modular with one unfinished building. "For THAT price? And you don't even get two buildings for it" "Light blueish grey is the wrong color for concrete, it should be exactly what I want it to be, will not buy it for the first time since 1734" "In the real world it would never happen, construction so close to an existing building with no safety measures. Lego dumb " -

In the written article he also talks about that, but more in a way that suggest he would like to have people come up with their own stories and ideas. I thought an interesting modification to it could be to straighten the pizza counter and then create a bar in the arch. So the pizzeria becomes bar/snack kitchen to the club that also sells pizzas for pick up or delivery to make some more money. -

And price is no issue too. For Lego the retail price for sure is a consideration. They want a profit and a price point that still sells. I once built a 16 wide modular sizes building with details on a level that was surpassing the modulars. The bricks for that basically half-a-modular cost me 250e, more than the price of a full modular. -

I read the entire interview because I couldn't believe what you were writing. But let's agree to disagree, since your interpretation of that Article is so far off from how I read it, that any kind of discussion is quite pointless -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

None of this is said like that and you do a gross misrepresentation of the text. 1. They changed courses is what they write. Just part of the normal design process. Later down in the article itis mentioned that the whole process was a standard as ever, even mentioning dates. On top of that he mentions the changed courses while in the sketching phase, not 3 months of building down the line or something. 2. It wasn't said that budget was slashed or that Lego was unhappy with costs. What is written is that they where conscious of costs of interesting geometry and the more expensive parts it requires. Being at the exact price level of the hotel, with a similar piece count in a much more expensive time might mean they were extra conscious, not to increase the price too much, I will give you that. But to translate that as big bad Lego slashed budget because they where unhappy about BH is nonsense. 3. He writes that they changed colors because the original dark blue was too cold and people were not responding too well to it. If you call testing a design and reacting to feedback "being forced...." All in all I feel you really want your position to be true for some reason but these are lame statements and not facts -

If you look for the other leaked pictures on Instagram there is a different angle of the greenhouse. Not perfect but it looks a whole lot better -

I actually quite like the whole setup. The blue and red fits nicely and gives me a sort of low-rise inner-city vibe that could actually be seen in real life. The interior to, while blurry, looks nice from what is there to see. I am anxious to see official pictures, but this is looking good! -

What timeline does Lego traditionally hold for announcing the new modular? With a 1 January release I would have expected an official announcement already. -

I was actually positively surprised that in terms of access it is mostly like a modular, with the stairs and ladders everywhere. Certainly not 100% covered, but better than we've seen before.- 2974 replies

Worth a second look! At first glance I thought o that is pretty. But looking harder at the details, the way the bridge posts alternate slightly to avoid a sea of white, the creatures and plants..... Totally awesome build!

This is very awesome indeed. Funnily enough, the fact that you build on it fur such a long time makes it look like an actual castle that has been added to over the period of decades and ages. Really cool this!

I think a 1000 square feet might just about be the average in the Netherlands. I certainly lived smaller than that and no one would consider a 90m2 home small here, let alone tiny.
