I like it a lot. looks very much like the screen version. And you have tons of space inside for minifigs.

I like it it’s a Naboo fighter minus the glitz. Almost like they needed a faster and cheaper to produce version. It makes sense during WWII the US designed cheaper rougher version of alot of military vehicules and equipment to keep up with war demand.

[MOC] Imperial Missile Boat (from the X-Wing/TIE Fighter game series)
stormtroopercaptain replied to krispy's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I’m gonna have to grab the instructions for both and see if I have the bricks to build looks like a fun build. And I really hated these back in the day playing the game.- 29 replies

Very nice. Again you have done a wonderful job. Is only the special forces version a two seater? Or are the regular first order tie fighter also two seaters? I knew the red marked ones were special forces just not clear on all the differences between the standard and SF models in the first order.

Midi Mandator IV-class Dreadnought
stormtroopercaptain replied to Kommander's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very nice. That is a cool way to use the binoculars for details. I don’t think I’ve seen that before. I really like the how you transitioned from plates on the edge to snot for the details in the center. Keep up the good work.- 3 replies

Defiantly will post some pictures. It’s been coming together I just have to source a few of the odd ball parts still but I’ve already got most of the really rare parts.

I’ve been working on an imperial version of this gunship for a while now. Switching over to mostly med and dark stone grey. I now have about 95% of my parts collected up should be putting the last few orders soon.

Good luck. This is pretty awesome I love how you curved it.

[MOC] Mini Kessel Run Millennium Falcon
stormtroopercaptain replied to mcphatty's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is really nice. I really like the blue hints you put in there. If they stick with some of the legends material on the falcons mandibles your idea of a module that clips in like that is perfect. After watching the trailer today and seeing the interior of the falcon. I think we are in for a treat when the movie comes out. The leaked box art has the new falcon as white I'm wondering how white it will be on screen.- 12 replies

This is great. I want one for my desk.

I’m all about the Empire but this is truly amazing. Very nice for the small size. I’ve been experimenting in midi scale a lot lately. It’s a tough scale.

Sets with good value per brick/piece count
stormtroopercaptain replied to RobBoyle85's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yea Rob I am not huge collector of the new trilogy either but I got it for the bricks and to see how it was built. The construction is interesting and very sturdy. You do get some good console bricks and tiles. If you want to build ships all the wing and wedges come in handy. And to top it off the minifigs can round out a sequel trilogy collection or be traded off for bricks or other minifigs. It’s the only set with Snoke so he is worth a decent amount for trade. -
Very nice I really like the trees and that you included a nice interior.

Sets with good value per brick/piece count

The first order star destroyer has a lot of really good plates for buildining imperial ships. The medium gray plates in larger sizes are what I keep an eye out for. -
[MOC] Midi-scale Super Star Destroyer Executor
stormtroopercaptain replied to Pellaeon's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The last few brick owl orders are on the way inbound for me to build this. Thanks so much for all the hard work that was put into making the instructions. I can’t wait to build this and display it. Edit I finely had all the bricks and the time to build this tonight. This now my favorite thing to display. While its not very swooshable. Its still pretty sturdy I have not had problems picking it and moving it around. This will be on display for a long time. Again thanks to both Palaeon and Scottish Dave for this mom and the Instructions. -
If you do instructions that would be greatly appreciated. I would build a pair to go with my hover tank moc that hatted sandwich designed. It would be a nice little armored section addition to my growing imperial army.
-
I love the imperial version. Always loved medium and dark grey scheme for the imperials. I would love to build one for my imperial army.

Micro-model Kylo Ren's Shuttle. (Batman goes Star Wars)
stormtroopercaptain replied to dagupa's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very cool micro build. Thanks for the instructions. I’ll have build one to add to my advent calendar micro builds. -
Thanks for the lxf. Like you I have to many projects in the works and modding my striker is a ways off.

I hope they do more minifig scale ish ships like Slave I that I have and love. If they did minifig scale x-wing or other fighters instead of oversized but with a UCS level of detail and accuracy. They could bring the price down a little but the detail would still be great.

This is a great display. I love that the clones come out of the tank with a six pack.

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
stormtroopercaptain replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Just got home from Toys R Us had to get something to get the DJ minifig. The shelf has been bare since Christmas but I got 75177 heavy scout walker for the grey plates and the hux mini fig. Now once I get a phasma I’ll have the complete first order bad guys. -
This is looking pretty great. I have the official version and while I think it was one of the better rogue one sets there is always room for improvement. I was only gonna mod mine by adding a bomber and bomb compartment but I may use some of your wing design too. Can’t wait and see it fully done in real bricks.
