Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
CedBricks replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
That would be a good idea! A regular new modular building and a new edition of a classic one. -
The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
CedBricks replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
UCS Star Destroyer (classic one from OT) would be just perfect. Or the Super Star Destroyer, but this would be unlikely as that UCS is not old. -
Thrawn's uniform CAN'T be anything but white, otherwise LEGO gets it all wrong here. I mean, they did Yularen and Krennic with the white uniform, don't see why they could not do that for Thrawn. As per the trailer, Thrawn has clearly a white uniform in the show, there is absolutely no reason on earth that LEGO does it otherwise.

Is there anything from the OT that has not been built?
CedBricks replied to PaddyBricksplitter's topic in LEGO Star Wars
here a few ideas that make sense, not all from OT but still. -
Right, now what I'm hoping big time, is a re-release of 10221 !

Which one? They made a great UCS set of the Imperial Shuttle, a ship that was also in the set "Imperial Inspection" and more recently, "Imperial Shuttle Tydirium" -
Thanks for the pics with the minifigs. OK so the officer is not Admiral Motti ( ), but what's cool is the new hair piece for Han Solo, it looks just perfect !
-
Agree regarding the Tie Advanced, the old version seemed to be better looking... Once again, this "new" Death Star is all about the minifigs, I am afraid. And yes, I think it would be good if a reviewer would do a comparison video of the two, that'd be nice. If not Jangbricks, I'm sure the Brick Show will do it.

oh well, these pictures say it all, the set is almost identical to the previous one. It's really a shame, they could have changed it a little bit, at least with other rooms for other iconic scenes of the different movies and, perhaps, include a few references to Rogue 1, cause it's all about the Death Star is it not? Grand Moff Tarkin looks better in this grey uniform than in the one in the last Vader's Tiefighter set of the last wave.

Hey buddy, never say never again, have you seen the movie with Sean Connery?
-
Very nice model irispen!

Yep, actually, as I personally own the set 10188, the only reason why I will have a look to this "new" Death Star, is the minifigs. I have the feeling that the Imperial Officer included in this set could be Admiral Motti. This would be just great to have him, Tarkin and Vader to redo the "your lack of faith is disturbing" scene ;-)

The printing job on the Genosian is just amazing! This minifig is the main part of the set in my opinion, and the character does not even appear in this scene in the movie.
-
Yep that makes sense, but what I meant by worth it or not, is more because the set is almost identical as 10188, from what I could hear and see here and there.

Molding for the Yoda's head is absolutely exceptional, this from the set with Count Dokoo in the cave, the play set. I'd even say that Yoda minifig is too realistic and not enough LEGOish, if I may. They could have kept the same traditional LEGO head and make something for the ears like they did for the elves in the LOTR sets, for instance. Just my opinion, but I agree with you, a Dagobah set would have been cool to get Yoda in, rather than a ship.
-
Krennic looks great and at first sight, the Rogue 1 sets all seem to be very cool, Krennic's shuttle being the best one in my opinion. Regarding the "new" Death Star, it is indeed very disappointing that they just made a refresh of 10188. Nice minifigs, surely, but does that worth 500$ or more?
-
That is an amazing MOC! The Star Destroyer itself is great, I like the interior and the scenes that you've done, but simply the shuttle is very well done too! Great job!
-
It's so great that they've included Thrawn in a "cheap" set!
-
My last purchase is the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium 75094 and I don't regret it, the building experience is great and the ship looks just perfect in display.
-
I'm personally very excited to see the new set "Duel of Fates" as it is one of my favorite scenes in Episode I. Otherwise, what I'd love to see: - Cloud City big set, whether it is the "I am your father" scene or another one does not matter, any scene would be fine - Even if 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium is recent, I would love to see another set with that shuttle, perhaps a redo of "Imperial Inspection"

Sandcrawler 75059 is still available on the LEGO shop at home in Switzerland.

I agree with the ones saying that it looks a little bit high with the announced price, but let's see, there might be good reasons for that, better wait for the set to be released or even better reviewed, before arguing about its price etc. What I'm particularly happy about is the minifigs lineup, which sounds promising.

Hey, does anyone have any news regarding the next wave of POTC sets? Just kidding -
hi guys, any idea if with the new upcoming Indiana Jones film, we could expect some brand new sets from LEGO ?
