    [MOC] Local Post Office

Some nice ideas there, really like the interior. However I think bigger windows for the first two floors would benefit the overall look (see attached pic as an example). The ground floor looks a little bit compact compared to the rest of the building while usually it would have the highest ceiling of all floors. Hope you don't my honest opinion.

    Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

Wouldn't wait too long buying 76946 Blue & Beta Velociraptor Capture. With the RRP of it being raised from 29,99€ to 34,99€ it may be difficult to get it for that price again. That's why I got it for myself this week as well.

    Wizarding World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

In the following article only Harry Potter and Tonks are mentioned. Didn't find any more information on this advent calendar. LEGO Katalog 2HY 2022 veröffentlicht: Erster Blick auf neue Technic Sets und Adventskalender

    VIDIYO - Universal Music 2021

Amazon is selling Vidiyo sets with massive price cuts here in Germany: Robo HipHop Car for 10.99€, Punk Pirate Ship for 29.99€ or Candy Castle Stage for 14.99€. Couldn't resist at those prices. Already had gotten the Boombox set for around 48€ a few weeks ago. Looks like they deperately want to get rid of Vidiyo!

    VIDIYO - Universal Music 2021

As I actually like the overall Vidiyo theme I hope you're right and that it's just a regional thing. Would be nice to see some more sets being released next year. It's just that I cannot remember any other theme having these steep discounts, especially this early in its life.

    VIDIYO - Universal Music 2021

Purchased a few of the Beatboxes at 60% off. At that price point I'm happy with what I got. The Minifigures and printed tiles are really nice. Beyond that there's still a good amount of useful smaller pieces. Love all these colors like teal, aqua and coral. Don't see many possibilities for reusing some of the big LEGO pieces comprising the box though. Being able to get these at 60% off just a few months after release makes me wonder about the future of LEGO Vidiyo. Is this theme selling so badly? Or is it just the initial wave being extremely overpriced, especially considering the fact that you obviously can use the app without having the physical product in hand? Maybe the second wave will be able to do better.

    LEGO Hidden Side 2020

This was the response from LEGO's customer service according to that linked article: “How strange! I can assure you that there is no confirmation from the LEGO® Group that we are discontinuing our Hidden Side™ line. Anything reported on fan websites are a rumour, and all reports are considered false. I can assure you this newly introduced spooky theme is sticking around, including a bunch of new sets coming soon!” My thoughts: Do those employees all know which sets will definitely retire? If they don't, which I assume to be correct, then they don't have any confirmation of this line to come to an end. So first statement would be correct then. All reports on fan sites are rumors unless they are officially announced by LEGO, so that second statement doesn't contain any surprising information. One thing is for certain, and that is that in North America new sets from the third wave are still going to be released. So from their perspective that last statement seems to be correct as well. So in conclusion there's nothing indicating that Hidden Side will continue contrary to that rumored list of sets being retired this year.

    LEGO Hidden Side 2020

That's a good point. Makes it easier to just leave it out if it has no purpose. In my opinion, Hidden Side was one the best new themes LEGO introduced in the last years. There are so many good sets like the shrimp boat, shrimp shack, haunted high school, fairground, lighthouse and others. I think it had the potential to be a success but the box design really killed this theme. A lot of people that buy in store and that aren't looking for specific sets will be influenced by the box design and what they see on the front of the box when they make their decision to buy a set. Hidden Side boxes are a failure in that regard. In addition, you're less likely to buy more than a few sets of this theme when basically every set contains Jack and most sets contain Parker as well. For most people these will be redundant and unnecessarily increase the RRP. Maybe if they had come up with more outfits for them that were significantly different from each other or additional kids/teenagers hunting ghosts it would have been different.

--- Bricksonville - City Layout with lights ---

That's a nice little town layout. I love how the Disney castle fits into the layout. Seeing the tram from 60097 doing its rounds is pretty cool, too.

[MOC] Who wants to play tennis?

The first thing I noticed were the lines added to the tennis court. It's funny because it's obvious to anyone with an interest in that sport (I used to play tennis in a distant past). Otherwise it's a very realistic looking build with many nice details.

Wow, I've never seen such an architectural design before. Thanks for sharing your LEGO version it. You really captured it well in LEGO form which surely was no easy task.

Negative views about the Market Street

I don't "hate" the set either. It's just that it's the only one I don't care about in the history of modular buildings. Despite certain shortcomings like their interior GG and CC are appealing enough that I really miss not having them in my collection.

This is looking great, really like the curved facade.

Negative views about the Market Street

In my opinion, Market Street is the worst modular building by far. It looks like its design wasn't fully fleshed out when compared to Green Grocer and Café Corner. I'd love to see reissues of Café Corner and Green Grocer as I missed out on the modulars released before the Fire Brigade but somehow couldn't care less about Market Street.
  15. Great idea. I like what you did here!
