Wow, that huge bulge at the front and that huge air scoop look terrible. It looks like more like an alt build of another set. Lego still can't make a proper F1 car.

Can you speak Quebec Canadian too? Even I can't do that!

So, there's definitely some new 1:8 slick tires! Are the rims new as well?

[EDIT] I see now that it's an add-on to an existing rim

TLG surprises us with those F1 cars in Technic. I would say nobody has expected this before to get two identical F1 cars with nearly the same product names at the same release date. But what if such surprises going on into summer ... We know about smaller Koenigsegg cars, and keeping this license the next 1:8 Hypercar can also be a Koenigsegg and I bet for a Koenigsegg Gemera HV8 in light turquoise or dark turquoise.

koenigsegg1.jpg

It seems it is just a matter of time to get a Koenigsegg in the 1:8 lineup and with this "bluish" color it is a welcome eye-catcher and addition to the Hypercar lineup. Besides that the car looks not too identical to its predecessors. The production of the real car starts end of 2024, so this might be a good promo for both TLG and Koenigsegg.

Like your logic here. I would welcome that choice to my collection.

Quebec is Canadian? They always told me they were French and just waiting for the rest of Canada to join them.  :pir_tong2:

According to Brick Clicker the 1:8 scale hypercar will be a McLaren. So dark purple is very plausible now.

Yup, according to brick clicker...

42172 McLaren supercar 3893 pieces 450 dollars August

It's a car. Hopefully will have the new Yamaha gearbox pieces, with a few more sizes of clutch gear that would be great!

42175 Volvo truck and electric excavator 2274 pieces 200 dollars

No thoughts on this yet until we know more about it or see pictures

A few 800ish piece cars 50 dollars

They are more cars.

42182 NASA Apollo moon vehicle 1913 pieces 230 dollars

Another car, might be interesting though.

42177 licensed 4x4 2891 pieces 250 dollars

And another car sorted of. This could be fantastic but will have to wait and see.

42174 licensed water vehicle 962 pieces 120 dollars

No thoughts yet.

42176 Porsche gt4 e-performance race car 838 pieces 170 dollars "promising to be the most powerful one yet"

And another another car. Most powerful one yet? I mean, we had a buggy with 2 buggy motors, is it more powerful than that? More powerful than two buggy motors? Hey Lego, is it more powerful than 2 buggy motors?

Accept, 42171 is the AMG F1 W14 revealed today...it's 42172.

Interesting that it’s McLaren. I’d love a model of the speedtail but who knows which of their supercars it’ll be

It's likely to be the 750s as it's been released in January

42183 is suspiciously missing... maybe a surprise set or just a skipped number?

You are probably right. It was revealed last year in Qatar.

I wouldn't be opposed to a McLaren. I hope it's not the 750s though. It's not exactly the most exclusive model, being almost exactly the same as the 720s from 7 years ago.
It's a nice car, but I would prefer something far more exotic. Something in the same class and price range of a P1 or a Senna.
