I see this one pop up a lot, and I think that it's kinda clear why it hasn't been made. The vehicle was in Revenge of the Sith for half a second in a nothing scene, 99% of the audience didn't notice it and wouldn't know what it is if you showed them a picture. Sure, a prototype was made, but they probably left it as a prototype for that exact reason. It's too big and costly so it would be at a high price, and nobody would recognize it enough to shovel over that much money

Don't care. Still want it.

In all seriousness though, surely it can get a one off? The Galactic Marines are quite popular in the fandom just because of said "nothing scene" (didn't realize ORDER SIXTY-SIX was nothing but anywho...), and this is the only vehicle they're associated with, really.

Besides, if it keeps popping up in wishlists, don't know but it would seem to me like there's some demand. Also, kids don't care if they recognize something, it's a clone vehicle with clone troopers. Throw in some droids and call it a wrap.

That is true, but the AT OT, droid transport, quad jumper, Wookie catamaran and FO Scout walker and FO snowspeeder had similar amounts of screen time, or even less, the second last not appearing at all, the first being in an even larger set. Furthermore sets like the AT AP got only slightly more screen time and had multiple sets, while sets like the B Wing had multiple sets at times when they only had minor appearances. I am biased though as I would really like a UT AT set.

This. Any obscurity argument seems really pointless considering Lego's track record with releasing sets nobody wanted or asked for.

Galactic Marines and modern Star Corps are both needed, so I'd be all for it - however impractical and unlikely it seems.

Kaminoan Security Clones are another variant we really need:

  • Ideally, we would've gotten some sort of "Escape from Kamino" set (e.g. Fives, Security Clone, Kaminoan, brick-built AZI droid, pod).
  • Practically, its still possible we see a Kamino-based set based on the Bad Batch.
  • Realistically, if that does happen, it's probably the Guard. That's not bad, we could use a re-issue, but the chances of a Security Clone go down to next-to-zero.

I would really like to see a set with some more Imperial Officers, generally they only appear in more expensive sets. I would appreciate a rendition of the Death Star Meeting, with Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin and an Imperial Navy trooper, consisting of a small rectangular build with two side separated by a wall with the doorway, one side having a boardroom and the other having the death star control station for the trooper to man. It would be a great addition to the Death Star vignettes which have been commonly appearing as sets over the last few years.

That would be nice, something in the style of last year's Bespin Duel. Vader, Tarkin, Motti, Tagge, and Yularen, call it a day.

Probably for those darn Galactic Marines.

Endor Ewok Assault Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 3 x Ewok Warriors, 1 x Ewok Glider Pilot; the Ewoks should look different, or at least one warrior should be of a different design or print.  The main builds for the set should be an Ewok catapult and an Ewok glider as seen in Return of the Jedi.  Could also include a small tree feature as setting for the battle.  Accessories to include spears and slings for the Ewoks.

Imperial Scout Trooper Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 3 x Scout Trooper, 1 x Imperial Officer (Major).  The main build for the set should include two speeder bikes and part of the Endor Shield Bunker defenses; perhaps a small defensive guard post or wall.  Try to link the play build for this set with the forest items in an Alliance Endor Commando Battle Pack; perhaps this set has the other half of the fallen tree trunk set dressing from the Alliance set.  Accessories to include blaster pistols for all of the mini-figs, and binoculars for the officer.

Imperial Endor Bunker Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 2 x Stormtrooper, 1 x Imperial Navy Trooper, 1 x Imperial Officer (Lieutenant, Black Uniform).  The main build for the set should include part of the Endor Shield Bunker defenses; perhaps one of the outside walls, or the archway for the shield bunker door.  Smaller side builds could include some the trees and foliage around the clearing outside of the bunker.  Accessories to include blasters or blaster pistols for all of the mini-figs, and binoculars for the officer.

Mini-figs: 2 x First Order Stormtroopers, 1 x First Order Heavy Stormtrooper, 1 x First Order Stormtrooper Officer.  Main build for the set should be part of the Takodana ruins, in the same style as the existing Battle on Takodana set.  Lots of half walls, thrown up dirt and broken pillars for mini-figs to take cover behind.  The set should be designed with two or three link pieces to allow for connecting multiple battle packs together or linking with the Resistance equivalent set for greater play value.  Accessories to include blasters for all of the mini-figs and a pauldron for the officer.

Resistance D’Qar Headquarters Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 2 x Resistance Troopers, 1 x Resistance Officer, 1 x Female Resistance Pilot; use a variety of faces and skin tones for the figures.  Main build for the set should be one of the transport sleds seen in The Force Awakens used around the D’Qar base, and to carry a wounded Finn at the end of the film, as well as 2-3 crates for supplies.  Accessories to include appropriate blasters and hand tools.

Resistance Takodana Troopers Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 3 x Resistance Troopers, 1 x Resistance Officer; use a variety of faces and skin tones for the figures, and include at least one female mini-fig.  Main build for the set would be part of the Takodana ruins, in the same style as the existing Battle on Takodana set.  Basically, lots of half walls and broken pillars to provide cover for mini-figs to hide behind and shoot from.  The set should have two or three link points to allow for multiple sets to be connected together, or for linking up with the First Order equivalent set for greater play value.  Accessories to include appropriate blasters for all of the mini-figs.

Episode VIII: The Last Jedi

First Order Crait Assault Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 3 x First Order Snowtrooper, 1 x First Order Snowtrooper Officer.  Main build for the set should be part of the trench system or entrance to the Resistance base on Crait as the First Order attacks.  Ideally, use the same style for the build as the existing Crait playset.  Link pieces to connect more than one set together for a bigger play experience would be useful.  Accessories for the set to include a pauldron for the officer and blasters for all of the Snowtroopers.

Resistance Crait Troopers Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 3 x Resistance Troopers, 1 x Resistance Officer; use a variety of faces and skin tones for the figures, and include at least two female mini-figs based upon the actual scenes on Crait.  Main build for the set would be part of the Crait base.  Perhaps part of the interior after the Resistance begins to evacuate into the crystal fox tunnels.  A small communications stations like the portable ones set up after the Resistance entered the base would also be a good build.  Accessories to include appropriate blasters for all of the mini-figs.

Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker

Final Order Troopers Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 2 x Sith Stormtrooper, 1 x Sith Jumptrooper 1 x Sovereign Protector.  Main build to be part of the Exogol cavern system, lots of black rock type features.  Alternatively, it could be set up as part of the surface of one of the Sith Star Destroyers.  Accessories to include a cape for the Sovereign Protector, jet pack for the Jumptrooper, and blasters for all of the figures.

Final Order Fleet Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 2 x Final Order Crew, 1 x Final Order Captain (Female), 1 x Final Order Admiral.  Main build to be some workstations from a Star Destroyer bridge, perhaps also include a turbolaster turret to provide some play features.  Accessories to include blaster pistols for appropriate figures.

Resistance Troopers Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 2 x Resistance Trooper, 1 x Resistance Technician, 1 x Resistance Officer.  Mini-figs should be split 50/50 male/female based upon what we see in the film, with a variety of skin tones.  Main build to be part of the hidden Resistance base in the early parts of the film, including perhaps a tree along with some of the supplies and computer consoles seen outside.  Accessories to include blasters for the troopers, tools for the technician and a blaster pistol of the officer.

Resistance Pilots Last Stand Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 2 x X-Wing Pilot, 1 x A-Wing Pilot, 1 x B-Wing Pilot, 1 Resistance Astromech.  Build to be a further addition to the rebel base set in the Resistance Troopers Battle Pack, with some more of the rough maintenance set up seen in the film.  Perhaps one of the communication terminals, or one of the tool benches for ship repairs.  Try to use helmet designs for background pilot performers in the scene where the Resistance scrambles for the final battle over Exogol.  Accessories to include blaster pistols for all of the pilots.

501st Legion Battle Pack

Mini-figs: 3 x 501st Clone Troopers, 1 x 501st Clone Trooper Officer.  Clones should be in Phase 2 armour.  Main build for the set to part of the Jedi Temple courtyard or temple steps area.

While a $15 501st pack would be quite nice, I'm pretty content with categorizing the $30 set as a new kind of "Super Battle Pack", or perhaps a "Faction Pack", rare $30 battle pack-esque sets that can be inserted in-between regular $15 battle packs.

So, we probably won't see more regular 501st clones in a battle pack for a while.

@ARC2149Nova just spitting out some ideas.

You are probably correct on the 501s Legion Pack, but I have been sitting on this list for a bit, so figured I would throw it out there.

Cheers :)

Hey, it's all in good fun!

A lot of good figure opportunities too.

Of all the ideas this one really stuck with me as something imperial MOC-builders would surely enjoy, as it would be the perfect addition to any base.

Anyway, all the talk of the dreamed/dreaded and probably improbable CMF series in the rumours thread got me thinking again and I came up with something that would probably never see the light: a EU (meaning Legends) CMF.
The list is quite spur of the moment and mostly comic/videogame based, but I tried to cover all the eras and not choose really obscure characters.

Old Republic
1) Revan - either a reissue with updated prints of the existing minifig or one with a helmet-hood mould combo (and a black head), with purple lightsaber
2) Bastila Shan - double bladed yellow lightsaber and new hairpiece
3) Darth Malak - moulded head/neck-piece for the jaw and maybe some trans-orange lightning/superhero beams to symbolize the force drain
4) Exar Kun - a surprise maybe but to put a moulded Triceratops in a blind bag and call it "Master Thon" would have been difficult =D comes with double bladed blue saber

PT Era - (AKA Quinlan's allies Battle Pack =D )
5) Khaleen Hentz - not much in terms of moulds or accessories, but much potential for nice prints
6) Master Tholme - dual moulded artificial leg to make us wonder why can't they do that for C-3P0
7) Vilmarh Grarhk - reuse or slight modification of the devaronian headpiece from the cantina
8) Asajj Ventress - We haven't seen her in years, was quite an important character by the end of TCW and I'd love for a minifig of her based more on her comicbook appearance than the existing ones;  either with the bug-eyes or from the 2003 animated series, comes with either a skirt piece or a cloth skirt

OT/post-Endor
9) Kyle Katarn - pauldron, blue saber, moulded Bryar blaster pistol and an additional pamphlet with Chuck Norris Kyle Katarn facts =D
10) Jan Ors - with either a printed or dual moulded hairpiece for the goggles
11) Captain/Admiral Gilad Pellaeon - either the younger one or the moustache-sporting older one, but with a moulded Ysalamir
12) Nera Dantels - maybe the most obscure character, but definitely an interesting one from the Empire/Rebellion comics; comes with both a hairpiece and a B-Wing flight-helmet

Legacy
13) Cade Skywalker - I believe TLG and Disney would be very much against giving him some kind of test-tube piece for his deathstick addiction, but it could be the occasion to try a cloth longcoat
14) Deliah Blue - the first Zeltron minifig, another alien species that does not need dedicated moulds
15) Jariah Syn - with a nice moulded Vong-staff
16) Darth Krayt - helmet, armor, dual sabers and lots of hate to have lived that long

Another option would have been Darth Talon, also from the Legacy comics, but I tried to give four spots to each era, or she would have claimed Nera's. Also Captain Fordo comes to mind.
Anyway let me know what you think and what are the Legends characters you would love to have in minifig form, since at this poiint I guess it's the purest wishlisting =D

Since battle pack ideas are quite popular at the moment, here are some ideas I would like, they are not necessarily the best ideas, but they are what I would find helpful for my MOCs:

-NovaCorps troopers: Commander Bavaria, 2x Galactic Marines, P2 Clone gunner

-Death Star imperials: Imperial officer (white uniform), Imperial officer (grey uniform), Death Star trooper, Imperial gunner

-Rebel Troopers: Rebel fleet trooper, Mon Calamari technician, Rebel Navy officer (Crix Madine style), Rebel technician

-Mimban Troopers: Mimban Imperial officer, Mimban Stormtrooper, 2x Mudtroopers

212th troopers battle pack, £24.99 (3 regular p2 212th troopers, Commander Cody p2, 2 Super Battle Droids)

I'm really new to this forum and was just clicking through older posts and saw this.

In my opinion (and in most peoples) having Commander Cody in a battlepack defeats the purpose of a battle pack because they are meant to build out an army so having multiple of a named character is kind of useless. one of the reasons I have 3 useless ki adi mundi is because of the clone+jedi BP couple of years ago.

I thought since they'd confirmed that we have more battle packs coming, I'd list some of my idea.. but it seems I'm a little late to the party  Nonetheless, here are some ideas, based of more recent/relevant material. (Apolagies about spelling mistakes, but I didn't want to look up all the spellings of the star wars words)

- Venator clones: 1 332nd clone, 1 501st clone, 1 shocktrooper and a plain phase 2 clone - side build is a holotable, based on the cw season 7 finale.
- Imperial remnant forces: 2 Darktroopers, 1 incinerator stormtrooper, and a scout trooper - side builds are a speeder bike and a charging station for the darktroopers.
- Kamino troopers: 2 plain phase 2 regs, 1 kamino security trooper and  an elite squad trooper - side build is a chain code post/hut thing (which I know weren't on kamino but it's really more of a batch bad themed set)
- Kashyak imperials :2 Purgetroopers, 1 scout trooper captain (with a printed arm to show the red wires) and 2 K2so type droids. - Side builds are a Wyyyschok spider and a Slyyyg
- Mauls forces: 2 Mauldalorians (one male, one female), a pyke syndicate soilder and a black sun guard - The side build would be a cargo container that they can hide in.
-212th Battlepack: 4 212th clonetroopers - Side build is a proper sized At-rt with 8 b1s (they are unprinted simple peices unlike minifigs so they should be able to treat the battle droid parts like any other simple unprinted parts)

Named character packs - like the bounty hunter one but different.
- Salacumi encounter :Omega, plain clothes Hunter, Cut and Su - Side build is a Nexu and some fences.

- Tatooine Folks : Cobb Vanth (Boba's armour), Boba Fett (robes, no armour), Peli Moto, Frog lady (with a new head mould in sand red which would be resurrected) - side build is Peli's workshop area with pit driods, treadwell, rotating dragon meat roaster and a table with sabaac cards.
-Clash on Dathomir: Cal Kestis (Bracca Scrapper), Taron Malicos, Nightsister Merrin, and an Undead nighsister. - The side builds would a burial pod for the nightsister to come out of and one of the bane back spiders.
-Escape from Nur: Darth Vader, Cal Kestis (blue jacket, no poncho), Second Sister and Cere Junda - The side builds would be the dojo area, with a little banner and a torture bed thingie.
-Obadiah trouble : Ahsoka Tano (blue mechanics outfit), Trace, Rafa and Marg Krim - The side build would be the forklift speeder thingie.

I'm working on a MOC wave of sets based off the games. I've only got three sets left to build, here's the list:

Microfighters:

Ebon Hawk ($9.99): Carth Onasi

The Mantis ($9.99): Greez Ditruis

TX-130 vs AAT ($19.99): 181st armor division clone trooper and b1 battle droid ("training" skin)

Battle Packs:

87th sentinel corps ($14.99): 4x 87th corps clone troopers (with accessories to make one of each assault, heavy, specialist, and officer class). Build is some republic barricades and an E-web

Resistance troopers ($14.99): 2x resistance trooper, 1x caphex spy, 1x resistance jump trooper. Comes with a P-tower and command post.

System sets:

Duel on Zeffo ($19.99): Build of the elevator, zeffo terrain, and ray shield gate from the first second sister boss fight (or at least the first one you can fight back in). Comes with Cal and Second Sister.

Battle on Sullust ($34.99): Turbolaser Turret, sullust landing pad (containing explode feature) and terrain with control console and wall, and a lava river build. Comes with 2x magmatrooper and 2x sullust rebel (battlefront 2015 skin)

Zeffo Tomb Exploration ($49.99): A build with: A water area with a function to push a crate so the figure can jump onto a ledge (walls contain magnets). From that ledge, there's a build of a chasm with a vine for the figure to swing across on, and a second area build with a wall-run feature and stim crate. A good wave overall, but I love this idea the most. That TX-130 is beautiful! :wub_drool:

Imperial Juggernaut

$109.99

Build is of the Imperial Rhydonium Juggernaut from the Mandalorian Chapter 15.

It features opening side doors, 10 wheels with suspension, and an opening hatch on top to reveal canisters of rhydonium. The cockpit would feature prints (or more likely, stickers) to represent the console monitoring the stability of the rhydonium, as well as two seats and a spot for Mayfeld's helmet. Other than rolling it around, the main play function would be a small lever or button that, when pushed, blows off sections of the walls on the rear side, allowing kids to recreate the many times these vehicles were seen exploding from their volatile cargo. And of course, there would be some form of stud shooters or spring loaded missiles.

There would be a small side build of a pirate skiff.

Minifigures include Din Djarin and Migs Mayfeld in their imperial disguises (a nice way to get the main character of the show in a different costume, since that's such a topic right now) an imperial shoretrooper, as well as two Morak Pirates, done similarly to the Raiders from the AT-ST where they reuse some parts but have a few prints and accessories setting them apart. I've based the figure count off of lego's most recent clone turbo tank, which had 6 figs, but 2 were battle droids. If lego were generous and threw in a sixth figure, I would say either Fennec Shand with a hairpiece, or (unlikely) Cara Dune.

Weapons and accessories include 2 blaster pistols for Mayfeld and Din, a hair piece for Din (the whole episode was about him taking his helmet off), a blaster for the shoretrooper, a staff for one of the pirates and a spear for the other, a dark bluish grey messenger bag for one of the pirates, as well as two thermal detonator tiles.

I'd been thinking that a Juggernaut would be a great Mandalorian set to come next as well, but with General Hess (the officer Mayield and Mando encounter in the base) as one of the extra figures

Guys, do you think its possible, Lego will one day make triple sided (possibly even four sided) minifigure heads? There are definitely figs where it would make sense and be possible, mostly soldiers using helmets and some characters using hairpieces covering large parts of face. I can imagine it must be difficult technologically, but I would buy it like hotdogs....

I think 3 faces could work but I doubt they would. 4 faces would only work on very specific hat/hairs and would look awful on anything else.

I feel like even 3 is unlikely. There aren't a ton of hair/helmet pieces that would work with a 3-sided head, but really the main thing is that it just probably isn't necessary. Most characters don't really need more than 2 expressions for one scene, so I think Lego just would see it as more expensive than it's worth.

To try and get back a bit more to the actual wishlists, one thing I am desperately hoping for next year is a Darktrooper Battle Pack. Maybe this is just wishful thinking but I think it's pretty likely given that they made just one for the Gideon's ship. What I'm wondering is if the other battle pack that will go with it will also be Mandalorian themed, or if they'll go with another movie/show.
