This be crazy. The catalogue had them pegged to be released in September 2016.

However, it can't be that coincidental that we suddenly get an influx of pics from various outlets at the same date (thank you CM4Sci) without some underlying reason.

Perhaps July 15 is the street date (or Aug 2016)

I was surprised to find S16 in a Toys R Us today (Milwaukee, WI area). They only had about a dozen left on the pegs.

After calling a few LEGO Stores, the reason for the early release is this -

They want the Disney series to come back in September so it can be sold alongside the Disney castle, so they pushed Series 16 up.

Sounds like poor planning to me

So that's why there has been no replenishment on the Disney wave, they're holding it for September?
