Recommended Posts

I've noticed some posts here have things like hunt for 2008 sets on and things like that

what does (whatever) on! mean? who started using it e.c.t

It means what it says, the hunt is on :-P Basically it means "it has begun". It originated from lego's slogan "Play on!", but became popularized here on EB, I believe, when our admin *yoda* used ON! regularly in his posts in that manner.

From Lego.com:

From "Just Imagine ..." to "Play on ..."

With effect from January 2003 the LEGO Company's new slogan will be "Play on ...". The new slogan has its roots in several years' efforts to approach the core of the Company's personality. A core which has now been crystallised into five values

It's about time Yoda gets the credit he deserves for this innovation! I've even stooped to "Castle On" lately in his honour...

God Bless,

Well then, thank you DoubleT, copmike, and xwing*yoda*! Things like these make Eurobricks a more fun environment to be in. :-D

Wayne's World, Wayne's World, party time, excellent! Heheh, great movie.

Anyway, when I saw it, (the ON thing, not Wayne's World), I just rolled with it, and said <something relevant to what I just said or the topic> ON! :-P

Wayne's World ON! X-D

Hmm...I was under the impression "on" was just a typical nerdy expression - I've used it before, in actual speech, not *yoda* "Away put your weapon, I mean you no ham!"

Uh oh! Take it back! We're not nerds. :'-( :-P

On an unrelated note- Slyowl, how did you get a "pirate king" group icon? Was that for winning the pirate contest? And the Skellie contest? Wow... Lucky pirate. :-P

EDIT: Yup, wow, you did! Great job!
