Hello forum! I've followed this forum for two years already while I've been building this fairly large MOC for two consecutive Lego events in Helsinki, Finland. I was thinking I would like to give back as you all have given me so many great ideas. The story goes like this: My son asked me a build a castle, just for fun. After 6 months of building I had 7-floors high, detailed (both inside and outside) with front defence with 3 floors with functioning portcullis etc. Every floor connects other floors with proper stairs, all the support structures are there as you might suspect in real medieval castle. Fireplaces and chimneys are there etc - as with my engineer's neurotic precision. Every detail has a medieval counterpart somewhere in the world. The castle (or it's actually a keep) was presented in the Lego event on 2018. On the following year my son asked me again: Dad, should we continue the castle this year - how about building surroundings. After 8 months of building I came up with 3 medieval 2-floor timber frame buildings with again interiors and a 3-floor medieval 13th century chapel. I moved the castle from the flat base plate on top of a hill and also started to do the build on moduverse units for compatibility with some Nordic LUGs. I presented this in Lego event on 2019. The size of the build is now 4x2 large base plates (roughly 51 cm x 110 cm). Chapel altar. The knight holding his helmet in the Lords building. Chapel frontside with a statue of Celebrimbor holding the one ring as a tribute for Tolkien and Lord Of The Rings. -

I'd like to share with you my MOC I've uploaded on Lego Idea website : The Station of Memories. The Station of Memories is a metaphor of past memories, when the family was gathering for special family events. It is a place out of time, another space-time in which everyone can connect and remember part of his/her life, out of the current everyday life. This is a simple and small family train station located in a pretty countryside little town. Please see samples below (very low quality). It's time for Santa Claus to go! Like every year at this time Santa Claus has to get to work, children all over the world are waiting for him. In my latest diorama you can see Santa Claus leaving his red cabin at the North Pole to get on his sleigh pulled by two Huskys. He has a long way to go... I inserted in the diorama a big animal. “The sweetshop’s rather good, and Zonko’s Joke Shop's frankly dangerous.” This MOC is of Zonko’s joke shop from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! The joke shop is located in the non-Muggle village of Hogsmeade, and, to Filch’s dismay, keeps Hogwarts students stocked with the most mischievous tricks Fred and George can get their hands on! Zonko's with Logo by Scarlet Patronus, on Flickr The model is based off the recreation of Zonko’s joke shop in Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, with inspiration drawn from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban book and film. Snow covers the roof of the build to capture the small village’s wintry appearance and stickers above the large red windows recreate the playful shop signage. It all started with the Obelix bust I created 2 years ago. I knew I would eventually build his partner Asterix, since they share many critical characteristics as the helmet, the nose, ears and cheeks. Then I decided to suggest them both as pair on Lego Ideas because I feel they might generate a lot of interest from big Asterix & Obelix fans like me! Well, 2.5 years later it's *almost* finished! Here is our moc of Elvendale and the Dragon Sanctuary. What started off as a fairly simple moc of the village quickly got out of hand and grew to include a mountain, our version of the Dragon Sanctuary, a goblin village and more! We took inspiration from the Animated series and the original sets, but added our own twist. Elvendale village includes the bakery, a mining store and a little house. Behind stands the Elvenstar tree. The Dragon School can be found high up on a rocky outcrop, by a high waterfall The Elvenstar Tree Follow the road East of the village (past the mushroom stairs into the Elvenstar Tree) and you'll come to the old windmill that sits above Naida's cove: Take the path west up the mountain and you'll find the entrance to the crystal mine. If you don't like the look of that, cross the winding stream to reach the mountain meadow, but beware - you might be being watched! Look up and you'll see the floating islands... And reaching into the clouds, the Dragon Sanctuary itself... The sanctuary had stood empty for as long as any elf could remember, and a huge tree was taking over. But when the goblins were saved from Kronan, they came to work for the elves and they soon had it back up and running... A bit of plumbing here, a fire there... The queen egg sits on top of a magic pool. The water is piped over the water egg, collected and used to water the branches round the earth egg. The goblins collect the wood and use it to feed the fire under the fire egg, and the hot air rises to turn the fans by the wind egg. Keep going West, and you'll come down the other side of the mountain. Rosalyn's healing hideout stands by the beach, and a mysterious entrance... ...which leads into the underground goblin village! The plants look fearsome, but they're friendly really... Maybe stop for refreshments in the inn? Ah, so that's how they get in! Keep going and you'll find yourself right back where you started - back in Elvendale Village! Of course, walking is fine, but it's much quicker to go by dragon! As usual in this period it's time for a Christmas themed creation and this is a cozy shelter for Santa Claus and his reindeer. Speaking of the brand new reindeer it's really cute! The house is a typical A-frame cabin, a kind of cottage I do really like. This is probably my last MOC for this year and I wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Hi! After a few weeks I finished building the second part of my bigger Minecraft project This time it's: The Plains Village Together with The Lush Cave both MOCs create one big piece of terrain! There are about 12k parts, 75cm high and about 11kg of weight (be careful not to drop it on your leg) You can see the whole construction process in the video below. How do you like it?

(Afoland Castle Game. Meronia) King Edric called a runner and gave him an assignment - to go to Kvynn, find Gerard there and give him a letter. The messenger soon reached Kvynn and began asking where he could find Gerard. Naturally, every local knew where Gerard lived, but they could not deny themselves the pleasure of chasing the messenger through the village. Running from house to house, he still managed to find the right one and convey the message.

A Trebuchet.cro colleague talked me into to start building castles. First I built a small tower a few years ago , and then I expanded to the buildings in the city and the surrounding countryside and port. After collecting bricks for a long time, I decided to knock down a small tower and make a castle, so that part of the interior can be seen. The castle is 80 cm high. We start from the kitchen, then the great hall, the royal bedroom and finally the sleeping princess. It is planned to raise the walls and to expand the city and the port.

Hello, I would like to present to you my MOC of Santa's Sleigh. Initially it was supposed to by more typical endeavor but my local LUG (WAWLUG) held a small contest to build whatever using Stuntz motors. It only had to go half a meter, which gave birth to idea of a Diesel Sleigh :) The sleigh is pulled by three Stuntz motors and one regular and on very even surface can go up to about 1,5 meters. The biggest problem is the fact the sleigh have only one wheel that is used to "ring" two bells it has. Those will swing back and forth as the sleigh go. I hope you'll enjoy this little piece of X-mas, even though it is a bit late :)

This market stall is selling fantasy memorabilia in front of a replica of Bilbo Baggins' family home. Santa happily munches on a pretzel and watches the busy shoppers go by as a shopkeeper cuts up the wrapping paper for her latest customer. Hope everyone has a happy holiday and a happy new year!

I wanted to make a medieval village instead of a castle. Marketplace, windmill, barn, watchtower, village house, field, peasants, warriors, knights, wizards, and lots of greenery. It was a work that I really enjoyed doing, hope you like it too. I would like to join (Create a Theme Contest) but unfortunately it is hard to put a price for this big diorama. It's Christmas Time...Santa's Cottage (on LEGO IDEAS too) It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas and as usual in this period it's time for a Christmas themed creation. This cozy shelter is the home of Santa Claus, who is preparing his world tour for delivering gifts. It's called Santa's Cottage and you can support it on LEGO IDEAS too. The main feature is probably the asymmetrical roof with a very sloping shape to the left. The woodshed is located under the excess roof. The red/white/black color combo is simple but effective, and the snowy trees in the background match well. Last but not least the door and windows are round, a shape rarely spotted on a cottage, but quite common in Hobbit houses. Santa, who is coming home from a relaxing walk, has also a nice off-road vehicle painted with a color scheme matching with the cottage. You can spot it on the right. You could smell it before you could see it. That salty, damp, stench of rancid meat, exposed in the open sea. Fish. As far as the eye could see. Fish hanging from balconies. Fish hanging rom hooks. Fish rotting in boxes and nets. Fish guts, fish fins, fish oil. And everything smelled the same. Fish. Smugglers, wanderers, fugitives, fishermen, sailors, and outlaws, they all came to Skaldar Port looking for an opportunity to star over. And for some reason, dealing fish seemed like a good start. For me, something else was at stake. I wasn’t looking for a new start. I was looking for a man that has been hiding in the shadows for way too long. The sack of coins tinkled as I walked the narrow streets of Skaldar. Glancing at signs and banners, I tried averting those eyes filled with temptation that arise in the depths of misery, and searched for the place where the dealer said he would be. The Smelly Inn. Sounded just right. I had the coin and now a target on my back. I could only hope Res would have the information I craved from the moment I left home. But I couldn’t help but think... something smelled fishy. ________ Louis of Nutwood. Skaldar Port. Probably one of my largest builds so far. Really hope you like it. Let me know what you think. Skol!

After I started building the city for a couple of years, I also became interested in castles. I'm never happy with what I've done, but I'm progressing slowly. Unfortunately the money side still limits me to go into more detail. Because when I go to work I like to do everything big. To make 4 buildings, instead of 1 with all the details. I am preparing for the exhibition of my LUG club "KOCKICE" so I am in a hurry to do everything I plan. I started the castle with 1 tower, then a couple of buildings, so I added the walls. Now I’m working the village in front - and the plan is a port as well. The tower is now too small for such a big city so I tear it down after the exhibition and do something bigger. I borrowed a lot of ideas, so maybe someone will recognized they work - THANK YOU !!

It's a rainy and cold evening in Scotland, and you are on the Hogwarts Express as a first year student. You have noted other students have changed from street-clothes into the black robes with the crest of your destination on the front: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You do the same, and then notice the train slowing down, and finally coming to a stop at a small station marked "HOGSMEADE" on a wooden platform sign. You don't want to get too wet in your nice new robes, and feel a bit lost in the hustle and bustle of older students departing and railway staff getting luggage off the train and onto the platform. You spot your trunk on the platform and detrain. It's raining less hard now, and a slightly portly-looking, very tall man in a beard and fur-lined coat comes down the platform shouting above the steam engine's noise; "First years with me!" He leads you and about dozen other 11-year old's away from the nice and neat (and warm!) station down to a series of boats on the water's edge of a huge lake not far from the train. He leads each student into the boat, and then boards the lead boat himself. He taps the oarlock of his boat with his umbrella, and all the boats move away in sync by themselves. You are then astounded to see a huge castle, perched on rocky cliffs on the other side of the lake, lit up by hundreds of candles under the moonlight of the clearing sky. The man then shouts out to everyone assembled in the tiny boats; "Welcome to Hogwarts!" (small note: This movie concept art was taken from the Harry Potter wiki sometime in 2015. It is NOT mine.) I have converted and combined this Hogsmeade Station from two different versions found on Rebrickable, and made it my own using pictures and guesswork. This design is supposed to go well with set 76388 - Hogsmeade Visit - (or my Winter Village MOCs) but of course, in the official Harry Potter canon it's on the other side of the lake from Hogsmeade proper. (But I don't listen to canon!) The entrance to the employees-only ticket counter area is on the side furthest to the camera, while the nearest door is to the passenger waiting room. The model has two rooms under the removable roof, featuring seating from the Disney train set. One one side is the ticket office, with a cash register / ticket window and a sorting desk for tickets / packages. The other is the waiting room with a few bench seats w/ individual arms and a bulletin board. Starting amount of parts: 1,185 Parts found so far: 657 Parts still to find: 528 Over half of the parts have been found so far. (I've also started taking apart my Disney-inspired station for it's pieces, so that has made a dent in this project, with more to come as I start on the ground floor of that older MOC.) EDIT 4/15/24: Sorry for the REALLY late update, but I've finally gotten started on building this in real bricks! (only took three years, but whose counting?) It should be finished sooner rather than later. Thoughts, comments, suggestions, and complaints are always welcome!
