  1. I'm not usually into Ninjago (in fact, I only ever bought 1 other Ninjago set) - but was intrigued by the looks of this Krait figure. He'll make a great evil sorcerer for my Castle lineup! However... after buying and assembling this set, I noticed that the print on his legs was blurry and faded and did not look nearly as sharp as in pictures of the set. I've never experienced something like this with any of the many other figures I've bought through the years. Has anyone else had this issue with this particular set?
  2. Dwarves and trolls, eh?
  3. No, it really wouldn't.
  4. I like the build, but don't care the least bit about the dull minifigs. They could have gone with half that number for all I care, most of them look the same. The set is simply too expensive compared to, say, modulars. For comparison, at least in my country, this set cost 50 % more than Medieval Market Village. I think they should be at the same price level.
  5. A beautiful set, but horribly overpriced.
  6. The new torso looks interesting and the possibility of old-style gold coins is sweet. But the rest of the set is pretty bland. Not sure I'll want to spend €55 to get it.
  7. Yeah, we don't need just2good to tell us that much.
  8. Helm's Deep is brilliant, but Council of Elrond is a close second. The parts and colours in that one are amazing, and it's the only LEGO set I own 3 of (with the exception of impulse sets).
  9. It's not a title I chose myself. One of the moderators did it to tease me one time I complained about my perceived uglynes of a Friends-coloured forum theme they ran with for some months.
  10. Imperial Flagship or Imperial Trading Post. Sadly, I own neither.
  11. Very very nice. I love the use of greens.
  12. Yes, basically. I'm somewhat neurotic that way.
  13. Honestly, with 6 years or more between each Pirates theme, I'm like the 5-12 year olds: it doesn't get old. I'd absolutely love a Pirates theme that lasts for more than 1 wave though, as most here likely would... so we could get more variety in the sets.
  14. Lovely pictures. I think the old Pirate sets is probably the theme that holds against the test of time the very best out of everything LEGO did.
  15. I'd like to get the plume pictured above in dark red and medium azure. I'd also like the regular flags in dark red where it bends the same way as most other flags. I'd like this part in dark blue: And in general, I'd really, really like if upcoming castles and castle-ish structures could be a different colour than grey for a change - like black, white, tan, dark tan, etc.
  16. Looking at the sets you've purchased during the last few months, I have come to the conclusion that you, good sir, must be absurdly rich. Congrats on another fine purchase!
  17. Nicely done, it looks much better in blue. It no longer looks like a poor carbon copy of Brickbeard's Bounty. Too bad that you had to include dark blue.
  18. No, because here's the thing: nothing has been confirmed. At this point, it's still all speculation.
  19. Wow, great stuff! It really does come to life.
  20. Actually, I'm most in awe of the red ones with yellow lions... I've always been very fond of those. Never seen the white one before. I assume the chrome ones are custom?
  21. Yup, pretty much.
  22. VERY impressive collection. Must have cost you a fortune...!?
  23. I feel the same way. For the sake of consistency, I'd have prefered them to continue with soft plastic. It's more durable as well. But overall, I prefer hard plastic flags.
  24. Most impressive!
  25. Interesting. It kinda confirms my belief that themes like Ninjago and Chima are only "winning" due to the massive exposure they get. So imagine what would happen if LEGO pushed Pirates or Castle in the same way... Yes, but it's an "unfair" battle where LEGO have chosen beforehand which theme to push. Really? I don't see much of a difference with face prints. In fact, I'd say 2015 has far sillier face prints than 2009 (the pirate captain and pirate cook especially).
