  1. You aren't the first to show scepticism.
  2. I too would like to know this, but have been unable to find out so far. I find it extremely weird that the theme is out in all countries *except* the Nordic ones... why? And does it mean that we'll never see it, or does it merely mean that it's postponed untill August?
  3. The Shadow Knights/Scorpions should have their own spot in the poll btw, I'd vote for them (instead of my 5th pick, Crownies). Their heraldy is fantastic and the dark red/black is an amazing combination that looks fantastic.
  4. I was just poking fun at you. I myself visit toy stores all the time, and that's without having any children to use as an excuse.
  5. Good stuff! I really enjoy civilian castle builds, and who can ever get enough blacksmith builds? Not me, that's for sure.
  6. Sweet collection and nice display!
  7. I disagree with the notion to include 2013 Castle into Kingdoms, and believe it will detract some from voting for it. From my perspective, the two themes are like fire and water and cannot reasonably be compared.
  8. Maybe that's because you're an adult in a store filled with products for kids?
  9. The 2015 Pirates theme, which has just been released in most countries as well as on lego.com, is nowhere to be found in retail stores in Denmark (ironically) - nor does it appear in the catalogue for the first half year of 2015. Is it for some reason scheduled for release in the second half of 2015 or won't it show up at all?
  10. Sure, wonderful idea! Man, I'm looking forward to sets like The Spearing of 12-Year Old Rue, Katniss And Peeta's Suicide Solution and The District 12 Genocide already. Want to do 50 Shades of Grey next? I don't want to derail the topic too much, but LEGO market the pink-and-purple Friends and Elves themes to girls because intensive research showed them that was the kind of LEGO girls wants to play with. They tried - and failed - for years to get girls in large quantities to be interested in "regular" LEGO.
  11. I honestly hadn't noticed before. That's a huge letdown.
  12. Same in Denmark; no signs of them in shops and nothing in the catalogue. Very peculiar.
  13. A 2013 Dragon Kight torso and the CMF Boar shield? Lazy...
  14. The new castle is of better design but the old one has better colours and heraldy. But cheaper price and the fact that you don't *need* another dragon per se makes it an easy choice, I'd say.
  15. You're a creepy fellow, aren't you? I like it!
  16. You can get high-quality instructions of that set from LEGO's own website.
  17. Thanks for this, I hope to see more interesting scans in the future. Great initiative!
  18. I consider this to be one of the weaker carts they released back in those days. But the maiden hat is nice. As are the two red flags, such flags are always a welcome addition to a set. Thanks for the pictures!
  19. I can live with another PoTC round after this 2015 wave of Pirates. At least the last PoTC gave us two pretty good (and very different, which cannot be said about this new one) ships with lots of details. And some of the other sets were quite decent as well, although (as licenced sets goes) a bit overpriced.
  20. That one really isn't a pirate ship, it's just a ship. They had ships in medieval times as well. I really wish I had that set. Although a weird ship, there's just something magical about it... While I haven't done it yet, I've been contemplating combining the two (with some modifications from both theme) into a united theme similar to LEGO's (unfortunately) cancelled 'Europa' theme: http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Europa
  21. I voted 'perfect' as I was judging it relative to the time where it was released. Compared to modern sets it is, of course, not all that great a set - mostly because of the colours used. But it was a fantastic set for its time.
  22. Yeah, the printing was quite good. Nothing wrong there.
  23. Whether we like it or not is irrelevant: LEGO only use flesh minifigs for licensed themes. A 'Robin Hood' theme would not be licensed.
  24. That's not really a valid response to critique of a set in my opinion. "You don't like stuff you feel should be included is missing? What's the big deal, just buy it seperately." No, just no.
  25. Dear lord, you ressurected a thread more than 9 years old to say that? But now that it has been ressurected, I'd like to say that this set is EXCELLENT. It brings so much playability for a set this size. To figs, a horse, plenty of weapons and... Black Falcons. Who doesn't love Black Falcons?
