far more simple than my take on it! I wanted to add piston rods and then this happened.

you did an amazing job! I love how you put the IR receiver upside down! What is the switch on the bottom exactly? Is it an alternative to the battery box button? Also, i feel you should use some white striping tape to finish the white line on the front.

Is LEGO entering a Dark Age - or am I?
Carefree_Dude replied to Hive's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I used to have a massive lego collection: Ever space set ever, every castle set, every train set, all the modulars, etc. I ended up selling almost everything in order to pay off debts. I held on to a few of my favorites. Most of the sets I let go I don't really miss. Right now i'm mainly just into modular buildings and trains. I wish I had room for a train layout, but someday! -

Would you be terribly offended if I built this? -

a set stored in extreme heat for a long period of times may have bad bricks. -

In a lineup, the Market Street "market" looks really good next to the restaurant. i turned the top of the market into an extended seating and garden area for the restaurant.

Lego stahp! My wallet can only handle so much! Between millennium falcon, Ninjago city, assembly square, silent Mary, disney castle, and so many others... I can't handle it!

I didn't see anything in the search, so i apologize if this has been covered before. I'm wanting to make some carriages for my santa fe super chief. The sets 10022 and 10025 are way too expensive now, and was wondering if there are any good alternate builds for these that don't cost nearly as much. I'm fine with using light bley instead of the old grey.

I made an emerald night in red, and just used gold striping take for the lines

I haven't touched Technic in a very long time... The 8440 Formula Flash was my last technic set, back in 1996. I see there are a lot of very big and interesting motorized technic sets that use power functions. Which of these sets is good to start with? I'm wanting something that does a really good job of utilizing what powerfunctions has to offer.

Beautiful train! Your brick built front looks way better than the horizon express

I know you can use the Polarity switch in order to do it, but is there an easy way to simply take the motor apart and swap it? My train MOCs already are lacking in room for all the PF cables. I'd like to use two motors on a single train.

Train storage systems? How do you store or display your spares?
Carefree_Dude replied to Adamskii's topic in LEGO Train Tech
The idea is to just put them away for now in storage containers. We currently live in a tiny studio apartment, and our storage space is extremely limited. We will likely move in the next few months anyways -

Part of my problem is that my wife has her friend over a lot, with a three year old daughter that enjoys pulling them off the shelf and smashing them. -
Why is the HE not as liked as the other creator expert trains
Carefree_Dude replied to Legoboy22's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I own three of them for a really long horizon Express train! Surprised one train motor is enough. I feel it's not as popular because the brick built front looks off. Like it should be smooth but has many strange edges and gives a weird uncanny valley feeling -

Train storage systems? How do you store or display your spares?
Carefree_Dude replied to Adamskii's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Sorry to bump an old post, but what's a good solution for long term storage? I have to pack them up and likely won't be able to bring them out again for several months to a year or two. I'm thinking plastic shoe boxes stacked inside of large plastic storage boxes. Any tips on sizes and such? I also need to store all my modular buildings. -

I'd love to see the guardian amiibo on one of these.
