  1. If I recall, he's also the guy who set up a giant roller coaster loop with traintrack, and had train track going down stairs in order to build up enough speed to send the entire train through the loop
  2. Is there any info at all on the form factor of the various PF 2.0 parts? I have some moc ideas in mind and not knowing what I have to work with is driving me nuts
  3. I know there are some sticker adhesives that are designed to work like this. I'm fairly confident the plastic clear lego stickers are designed to work like this. Not sure about the paper ones though.
  4. This right here his the hogwarts express I aspire too. It doesn't even look like lego at first. More Pictures are here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/31223598@N08/page13 EDIT: Here is another really good MOC:
  5. I have so much track already, another 16 curves would be wasteful
  6. I've got to know, would you say the color of the actual frogtarts express in the movie is closer to lego red or dark red?
  7. Thanks for the additional pictures!
  8. I think I decided I'm going to buy all the new trains just to help keep the theme going
  9. The tender is the exact minimum size needed to house the battery box, which will also contain the receiver (powerfunctions 2.0). It would use a standard PF train motor, also in the tender.
  10. I'm glad they are releasing a hogwarts express with the proper wheels, though it looks way too short to be a hogwarts express. This can be fixed though. I'm guessing there will be instructions to add a PF 2.0 battery box and a motor into the tender.
  11. That's all I needed. Tender is exactly 8 studs long, so in theory could fit a battery box. It also looks like there isn't a proper "back" to it.
  12. If HP train is compatible with power functions 2.0, it appears it will stick everything in the tender. The tender is tiny, but all it needs is the battery box, and to be able to sit on the motor. are there any good pictures of the tender?
  13. I love that there is a new hogwarts express! It looks really compressed though. I feel it needs to be at least 8 studs longer. With some heavy modification, this could look really amazing!
  14. I feel you should wait until PF 2.0 is officially released. Currently it's very difficult due to having to include the PF receiver, which is huge and hard to hide. PF 2.0 has the receiver built into the battery box, AND you don't need line of sight. This way, you only need to incorporate the motor if you have the battery box in the tender.
  15. Your BNSF is beautiful! I'd love to see more pictures of it. I also love your layout!
  16. As far as log rail cars go, I was always a fan of the one from the "my own train" line.It was very simple but looked nice Has it been confirmed that the battery box for PF2.0 has the same form factor as the PF1.0 AAA battery box, AND contains the bluetooth receiver?
  17. Dammit we won't be pleased unless we get a creator expert Big Boy steam engine, with extra buyable carriages that is compatible with powerfunctions and 9v
  18. Oh, Russia, that explains it. The probably purposely took low quality images just to mess with everyone
  19. Was watching the peaceful german landscape, and great tunnels, when suddenly A GIANTESS APPEARS I love her layout, though the track looks rough
  20. I wonder why the person taking the photos used a camera phone from the early 2000s?
  21. It's possible it was originally designed for the original PF in mind, and never got around to changing the design Actually, looking at it again, it looks like those cheese slopes are to make room for the hinge for the canopy
  22. I don't understand why it's being compared to the friends line.
  23. How is everyone feeling about the Diner now that it's been out a few months? I bought it at launch, and I'm trying to love it but I don't really like it. The build has some really great design elements, but I don't like the overall look of the building, or how it looks with other modulars.
  24. I admit I really want to do an overhaul of the 7898 train. It looks a little bland as is.
