  1. I just ordered all three.
  2. Them Mac's sure are somethin special.
  3. Those are the "Prison" cells from the hydronaut sets.
  4. would look sooo much better with the trans orange canopy. You can get them on bricklink for less than 20 cents.
  5. Rench's capture confirmed what we have dreaded for years; Blacktron has returned! Space Police fully believe in "Peace through Negotiation." So may the negotiations commence, and let the Blacktron menace know their place. The negotiator's design is based on the Galactic Enforcer (in reality, it is built from two of these, and a few extra parts). It is a heavily armored warship designed to travel long distances where standard patrol ships cannot reach. In the bay, there sits an all terrain speeder to pursue where a ship cannot. This speeder can also carry a prison pod. The officer has a gun he stores inside the speeder. The outermost engines can detach as mini attack ships. These ships are controlled by two drones that sit in the cockpits. These drones are controlled by space police officers on the ship sitting in control units. Here you can see the crew hard at work in the body. The two officers in the blue chairs with the red and green lights control the drones that pilot the mini attack ships. the computer systems on the right handle the ship's weapons. There is a large array of guns for the crew to use should they ever have to invade an enemy base on foot. There are also two mine detectors. This is the cockpit for the main body of the ship. The pilot has one of those "freeze ray" guns hidden in a panel in there. He also has power over the prison pods; these pods can also be used as explosives in a dire situation. This is the front portion of the ship. It detaches, and is far more maneuverable than the ship in it's entirety. It is a larger, more tank like version of the Hyperspeed Pursuit Falcon. It possesses turrets on the wings that can turn. Lastly, a Raid VPR can dock onto the back in order to provide scouting support if needed. The crew is now ready to go out and hunt Blacktron scum. It departs tomorrow with two other space police ships. Pictured is the entire crew, minus one who thought she heard something and went to go check it out. Doesn't she know it's perfectly safe? THE NEXT DAY The ships head out. Little do they know, their target may be closer than they think........ Oh, as a small bonus... OMG! Enclosed Cockpit! Anyways, this Moc is my first attempt at a giant spaceship. critique it as you see fit. I mostly used parts from two galactic enforcers. Full Gallery is here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=430097 there are more pics in the gallery
  6. I ended up buying two of these, and putting the main bases back to back (one of them mirrored). Really added to the set
  7. You can see the prototype version in this picture:
  8. I think this is the final year for space police III because we only got 5 sets. Last year we got 7 regular sets and 2 limited edition sets. I wouldn't be surprised if there is another space theme next year though.
  9. The two numbers is because there was also a limited edition version of the set (I got the LE version) that has a fancy explorien backdrop and such. This was my first explorien set. My main problem with it is that the arms weigh too heavy for the set and fall down while it is moving unless they are snug to the cockpit.
  10. I've always loved that giant blacktron II ship you made. I'd love to see it next to this..... Blackhole Blacktron II captial shipo (I personally prefer the blackhole)
  11. I work at a salt mine. At the mine, we have all kinds of big, crazy looking machines and many conveyor belts to move salt. I feel some of these would make great Lego Town sets. I know power miners exist, but that isn't really anything like actual mining. We got this thing called an undercutter, which is pretty much a vehical with a 20 foot long chainsaw attached to it. Then we have the Trams, which are these giant bulldozer like machines. And, I mean massive. Each of these are about the size of a house. Then there are all kinds of old trucks for moving miners from place to place, and the conveyor system which runs salt through a crusher to be lifted to the surface via giant buckets. I feel something such as this would have more depth (no pun intended) than the construction theme, and would be enjoyable by both AFOL and kids alike.
  12. Road is made frm grey bricks on their side
  13. When it's in "Undercover" mode, none of the police decals can be seen, and it has "cargo" decals instead.
  14. i see, thank you
  15. Do any of the space police officers have names? I know the log has the names: Major Brent Major Brian Captain Sten Captain Søren Captain Nathanael Captain Morgan Captain Niels Captain Mariano but, it doesnt have pictures to go with any of the names. They all show the picture with the guy who has the black sunglasses. Do the officers have profiles or bios anywhere? I know the criminals do.
  16. I'm fairly positive the yellow on the doors are not final. I bet the final is trans blue.
  17. If you look closely, you can see that the garage door on the base uses SNOT!
  18. Forget the commando; look at the gun the insectoid is holding!
  19. I've always been a fan of Space Police, and the space theme in general. The 6986 Mission Commander set has received a lot of complaints though. The biggest: "It's big just for the sake of being big!" Well, I decided to redesign it. I made it with the mindset that it will still look like the Mission Commander at first glance, the second glance will reveal so much more. So, I present to you; The Galactic Commander (excuse me for the poor pics. I don't have good lighting) This ship is similar in shape and aesthetics to the Mission Commander set, but at the same time is vastly different. At the front, the cockpit still opens up to reveal a small ground vehicle. The mechanism is still the same, except for the fact I use a much smaller gear track. The entire front section is dedicated just to this mechanism. I guess it is still better than Lego's design of using the entire ship. The midsection contains what is supposed to be a meeting room/command center. The interior is still kind of a work in progress. The rear section is pretty much the same as the original model; except for the fact that the interior to the rear goes straight into the interior to the command room. So, does that mean that the rear no longer detaches? Of course it does. (Note that the little fliers are still on the wings) Of course, it would be silly to have a random opening appear in the back of your ship while out in space. So, both the pod and the main ship are equipped with doors that close off the passageway. These can be closed before you even disconnect the pod from the rear! (for those wondering, the doors fold into the floor when not being used) And lastly, here is the ship without the prison pod on the back. It looks a little naked. And as an added bonus, a new flagship to the SP1 fleet! Thats right! a Galactic Mediator in SP1 colors! isn't it beautiful folks! Hope you enjoyed this small redesign.
  20. Eh... I like to pretend that the life on mars sets never happened. But even in those sets, it looked like the humans were against the martians.
  21. The small fact about mars mission kind of made me unhappy too. we invade their world, steal their precious resources, and attack and experiment on them. I was thinking, "Wait, are the people the bad guys?" Maybe a mars mission/space police crossover is needed... SP goes against the MM people.
  22. I noticed in the late 90s, lego seemed to stop doing Human VS Human. I remember earlier themes there were nothing else, skeletons aside. I think lego is trying to make itself look non-violent. For example, SPIII has freeze rays; not guns. and don't even get me started on bionicle....
